There was a lot of fresh salads, sandwiches and pastries choices. I was intrigued to see the full fresh choices of gourmets cakes but not game enough to try them. I went with a pre made chicken, brie cheese and cranberry sandwich on turkish bread which came with small salad. It was more average than anything but very filling and couldn't finish it. Still they obviously make good coffee because it's a hit at breakfast time.

I'm not sure if its because I've dined here at absurd times of 5am or earlier, but the food just tastes so good here! After a farewell to my grandparents who were off on holiday, my mum and I decided to get some (very) early breakfast here. I had a great tasting bagel which I had heated up for me, and a chocolate caramel slice (probably not ideal for 5am, but the lack of sleep affected me). Both were delicious, and to be honest it took a while to decide what to get, as they have a lot to choose from! I avoided having coffee this particular morning as I couldn't wait to get home and crash, but I can vouch for their flat whites- the couple of times I've had them have been really good. The staff here were quite good, at least for the early morning shift they were working! As far as decor goes, I like the sleek, modern look of the cafe- definitely a much-needed update at the international terminal. There are only a few tables to sit at right by the cafe, but if you're lucky the food court tables won't be too packed and you can find a seat easily. International travellers, if you're in a rush and need to go through security, don't fret- there's a Cafe Espresso after the security doors too. Win win!

The Boston Bakery (for which I have no idea why it is named after a city in the States!), is quite unassuming and from the outside isn't very distinguishable from any other old school bakery. Except that first of all the family that run it are the loveliest people and if you're lucky their little super adorable daughter will run the EFTPOS machine for your purchase. They also cherish their regulars; for example my partner used to be a regular and then moved overseas for 3 years and they still remembered her after all that time! And then there's the pies, oh sweet sweet delicious heaven-sent morsels of delight! They have the standard fare which drive a hard bargain at $3.60, but then they also have 'fancy' pies for $4.20 which include rockstar gems like Steak, Mushroom, Bacon and Cheese, or Chicken, Camembert and Cranberry, or Steak and Kumara, or Butter Chicken and Broccoli. My personal favs are the first 2 aforementioned pies and I really have to discipline myself as I have to walk past the Boston Bakery twice a day, 5 days a week. It's no wonder Richoux Patisserie have won so many awards. Good on them for proudly displaying them in full view of everyone. They have obviously worked very hard to get to where they are today and after having had one of their sandwiches I can see they have. They even sell steak pies at the McDonald's there! This little gem bakery sells a large selection of different pies, donuts, baked goods, sandwich, and other delicious goody!!
