I had a traditional Irish breakfast which was excellent - very flavorful. I loved the black and white pudding! My mother and sister both had the pancakes with eggs. Run by a group of women and the lovely owner is from Enfield in county Meath. All the food from the farmhouse cafe comes from their farm and is made fresh everyday. The meat is from their animals and the bread and treats are baked in the cafe. I love how it has an old country house feel to it and the teacups and teapots are a random collection that look so pretty. My favourite thing from the menu was the Gammon sandwich. I no longer eat meat and this sandwich makes me struggle every time I see it on the menu. Oh the temptation.

I went for lunch (breakfast is available 8-11) and there was so much to choose from on the menu. My boyfriend on the other hand wouldn't eat anything as he loves his meat and barely eats veg. It's mostly plant based and health food. I had the veg lasagne with their amazing pesto that I put onto everything at home. The lasagne was good and left me full for the day without feeling crap. Only reason for three stars is the food was luke warm as it's all under hot lamps and the feel of the cafe is sorta like a conveyor belt or a school canteen. I felt completely ripped off and overcharged. I told her I was under the impression that I was getting the breakfast as she suggested, but apparently you can't change things on the breakfasts list so she ended up changing me for everything individually. Massive rip off for beans and eggs.
