BLUE CORN ENCHILADA CASSEROLE with chicken and Red/Green Chile
    Andrew R.

I really wanted to like this place, but alas, the food was so-so/average, and the service was less than stellar. I dined with my wife and 10 others at a large table during the Santa Fe Foodies meet-up. I tried the BLUE CORN ENCHILADA CASSEROLE with chicken and Red/Green Chile (Christmas). Added an egg. The green chile was somewhat flavorless, while the red was better, with nice heat, but far from the best in town (IMHO, thus far, Café Castros). The chicken was nice, as was the garnish of lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, and sour cream. But for $22, I was underwhelmed. My wife and four others had the special, which was Eggplant Parmesan. It was okay, but again, nothing special, and the 'garlic' bread lacked both garlic and flavor. This dish came with a salad; the server never asked what anyone wanted for a dressing, instead providing different salad dressings to other people. The service was subpar; the servers didn't know who ordered what, even though all the food arrived at the same time, which can be challenging for a table this big. We were presented with our checks without being offered dessert. No one recalled being asked if we were pleased with the food. The restaurant is rather loud, and the wooden chairs lacking cushions are rather uncomfortable. The food and service weren't bad, but it wasn't such that I'd be inclined to return, considering there are so many other, better options in this foodie town. It is nice that the restaurant has ample parking in this part of town. All in all, underwhelming, average, three stars.

From a different visit and I'm cracking up at myself that I wore the same shirt love this place

nothing about this place is bad but nothing about it is great either. Just OK, maybe we just ordered the wrong thing, but I was unimpressed with the selection on the menu. Most likely will not return.

Had lunch here on Saturday with a group of six. Sat on patio in lovely shade with lots of native greenery/trees around us. Food was delicious and service was very attentive! I had the burrito with carne adovada and Christmas sauce; I couldn't decide which sauce was better bc both were excellent. Friends had the burger, margarita chicken bowl, and fish tacos. We also shared the watermelon and poached pear salads, which were the hit of the meal! We plan to try to replicate both at home.

Delicious burger even though I was tempted by the ceviche flight. Easy to get a table and lovely al fresco dining! I have had several wonderful lunches here. I didn't know they were open for dinner until today. Owned by super nice people and they have great staff.!

Patrons form a line to order, and signs on tables ask guests to order before settling into a table. Before we could give up and walk out, the owner/manager approached us at the Mille entrance with complete kindness, and he invited us to enter with the stroller to find seating before ordering. We were so surprised by his desire to accommodate the baby, and we accepted his generous offer, quickly finding a little corner table in the covered patio area at the back of the restaurant. Once the stroller was out of the way, I placed our orders, and we received our drinks quickly - a black hibiscus iced tea plus a creamy London Fog. Brunch followed shortly - croque Madame for me, veggie quiche for my friend, and a Nutella crepe to share. My taste of the quiche was super creamy, and the croque madame was as rich as expected. Crepe was lovely, though I wish they hadn't run out of eclairs, which are my favorite. We'll have to show up earlier next time - and there will be a next time! Thank you for the hospitality, Mille. The way you welcomed us, stroller and all, made all of the difference.

The minute we walked into this coffee shop, we were kindly greeted by everyone working. Then, we were given a sample of their caramel sauce that is house made. Apparently, a majority of their syrups and sauces are made in house which is a PLUS. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with caramel drizzle. I've been to a lot of coffee shops and dare i say that this was the BEST VANILLA LATTE i've ever had! We sat outside (they have outdoor and indoor seating which is nice). We had accidentally spilled some coffee, thankfully Kagome was so SWEET and HELPFUL, she immediately came to clean up the mess. Thank you again Kagome! The prices are super reasonable, especially considering how generous the portion sizes are. I went with the Chile Rellenos, and honestly, "amazing" is an understatement. They were executed to perfection: light and golden batter that wasn't greasy at all, chiles that held their shape without getting mushy, and perfectly melted cheese inside. But the real star of the show is the sauce. Whether you get red, green, or go "Christmas" style like I did, you can taste the real depth of flavor and high-quality ingredients in every single bite. Cafecito has been showing up on my reels and it looked like the kind of special I wanted. Just a few steps away from the Railyards, this place seems to be in its own island, in a quiet corner. The place is simple in decoration, with lots of plants, plenty of natural light, and a cozy vibe. The manager or owner greeted us. We started special the right way . Staff took a little longer than I expected to take our order (or I may have been veeeery hungry). However, our order came quite quick! The hubby ordered the Santa Fe and Carne Empanadas with lentil soup. I ordered the Gaucho to get some range. The empanadas were quite good and tasty. They were on the medium size, well packed with protein, with a nice and soft pastry. The Santa Fe had very fragrant green chiles and good seasoning on the chicken. The Carne had an amazing taste on the wagyu with a bit of spice and sweet with those peppers. The lentil soup was thick and tasty with every spoonful. The Gaucho, unfortunately, was not as successful as the empanadas. The sourdough was thinly sliced and perfectly toasted, pairing well with the butter and quince jam. The provolone and tomatoes were confusing, but they were well portioned. The eggs were fluffy and ok, nothing to die for, just well executed. The flank steak relied a lot on the chimichurri, which added great acidity, but without it, the steak did not have its own seasoning or flavor. It was satisfying, but the visuals tricked me into thinking it was going to blow my mind. Overall, this is a nice space to hang with friends for a special occasion and enjoy some tasty options. I'm interested in returning to try other things. I like when a place sparks my curiosity.
