Stopped by Café Cartel and had such a great experience! The service was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in--super friendly staff who made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, with a trendy vibe that makes it perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. It's the kind of place you could easily spend a few hours in. I tried both the matcha latte and an iced coffee--both were delicious! The matcha was smooth and not too sweet, and the iced coffee had a bold flavor that hit the spot. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Tasty coffee. Flat white with half and half slaps. Quick service. I will come back again.

Pandebono was flat, I'm expecting better than fast food places that just microwaves them. It's supposed to have a shape to it.

I was surprised to see a Colombian coffee shop in the cut of Hoboken. It's a small coffee shop with very minimal indoor seating but a few outdoor seating options. It's definitely a grab and go place vs a sit down space. If you do find a spot outside it's definitely quiet because of the area being mostly residential. On the menu I was hoping to see like a cafe con lèche but there was not. It was the usual espresso, cappuccino etc. I opted for a cappuccino and they did have almond milk. I ordered a small and it was too big for a cappuccino. I prefer the smaller cappuccinos with a good espresso to milk ratio. While the taste of the Colombian coffee was good and strong, the almond milk had a terrible taste and didn't do the coffee any justice. The coffee would have been better with a different brand of almond milk. I saw that they had pan de bono breakfast sandwiches which is pretty dope. I opted for just a plain pan de bono which was ok. I've had better. The barista was friendly and it was not too crowded when I went. Overall, it's a nice change from the other coffee shops and gives Hoboken a little flare. The Colombian coffee itself is pretty good. Next time I'll probably just get an espresso by itself.

Coffee, cold brew, mocha's, latte, breakfast sandwiches, coffee cake, croissants, muffins.

Worst coffee and customer service will definitely not be back, don't usually leave reviews but the guy was that rude that I had to.

For those who live near a Universal Studios, you will see some items here that they also sell in the theme parks. There's also a small cafe area for your pastries and drinks. My friend got a mini sized "happee birthdae harry" pink cake + pumpkin juice. I had a sip of the pumpkin juice and it tasted like thick consistency apple juice. It's not bad but it's not something I would personally order. When it comes to the food items, think novelty over quality. It's good for the 'gram, ya know? There's one single bathroom is located on the second level. Be sure to check out the Dark Arts/green Slytherin room. Plenty of photo ops in this store.

Rupsi is the owner and she is so adorable; truly passionate about providing an artistic space that promotes good energy. I love that about her. Had the pleasure of meeting her during my visit. The highlight here is the coffee (of course). You need to try the Turkish coffee. I forgot what kind of latte I got here but it was great. The friend I went with got a chai and he loved it too. The design of the cafe is so intentional... the decor shows Rupsi's desire to have a space that radiates good vibes. I'm obsessed with the fact that she has in-house DJs playing to make your coffee trip a unique and pumped up one. I had to stop myself from spending lots of money here because the jewelry and accessories that she has in store are sooooooo cute lol.

They have a few food items too, but I did not get food. I tried the Turkish coffee and an iced latte. The Iced latte was very milky. The Turkish coffee I really only got because it comes in a beautiful pot/cup. It is not something I would think I like but I was wrong. I liked it more than the Iced latte. I was shocked. Their cups they have here are cute as you can see in the pictures. It is a good vibes only place. If I am in the area I would deff come back and try out a different drink and give it another chance.

This is definitely not the case at the Main Street Board Game Cafe! The $15 entrance fee makes perfect sense to me... as they have a great variety of games in surprisingly immaculate condition, and very knowledgeable staff that are happy to explain how all of the games are played. The staff are really what set this cafe apart from others like it. Learning the rules from an expert is what makes complicated strategy based games less scary and more fun!! Everything is also very clean and well maintained, and the food is tasty. Definitely not the fanciest or most complex stuff on the menu, but who's coming here for the food anyway? They make a yummy grilled cheese, and some really good strong espresso based drinks. They have a great selection of teas from the clipper ship tea company as well.
