Located on Manhattan Ave, just down the block from Leto HS, is this small Cuban Restaurant which should be featured on the food channel. The place is small and unassuming. It is clean and orderly and the food very good. My wife ordered a third of a roast pig on the 22nd for $23, and picked it up on the 24th. She had no complaints. It was very good. The meat was tender and came of the bone like butter. If your in the area try them. You won't be disappointed..

Sorry, I have passed this restaurant 100 times and maybe seen it open 4 times. I will keep on the lookout, but either hours are really strange or owners don't keep a schedule Lately it appears that the restaurant has been open more frequently. Are you enjoy stopping in for a cafe con leche or breakfast or lunch or an early dinner. I also get dinners to go and have them at my leisure. At times the language barrier can be somewhat of a problem if you do not speak Spanish personally no habla espanol. I have learned that through a few keywords and a form of charades I can usually get exactly what I want. The owner is very understanding of us for gringos and tries to accommodate and filler needs. This little gem offers a wide assortment of goodies. It appears our specialty is pork and/or pig. On every visit I always see people coming in and picking up a quarter of a pig or more, so this must be the place to come in Tampa Florida. I have it on my list of things to try. What's a girl to do? Hey, you never know when you're going to need roast pig for an event so it's nice to know where to go and get it locally.

Pork, yellow rice, beans and plantain!

However - this place is killer. I've tried several lattes and the cold brew, and they are phenomenal. I've brought people coffee from here, and each person has agreed that it's some of the best we've had in Tampa recently. The ambiance is interesting - it's in a kitchen store. But it works! The team is so great, and the shop currently has some of my fave baristas from formerly open shops. They're awesome! I highly recommend stopping in.

Inside this winding housing development, you'll find a small shopping plaza-gasoline on one end, dry cleaners on the other... and in between those bookends, a string of small businesses. And behind the door with all the flowers around it: Perfect Press Coffee. It's a hopping and popping kind of place. I've been there twice in the last year-and it's busy. It's a fun mix of neighborhood moms with strollers-people stopping on the way to or from work-and a few remote work workers-who thrive in the happy buzz of a booming business. To the right when you walk in: coffee, tea and sweet and/or savory small bites. There's bench seating along the wall, several small tables and two little couches in the middle. The decor is cute, cozy, modern and slightly caffeinated. It's not a huge place but it's super popular. There are tables out front on the sidewalk, too. It's busy, but the skilled baristas keep things moving. On this most recent trip, I tried the ube matcha-my first. I liked it! There were lots of tempting pastries, etc-but I had a lunch date coming up, so I stuck to just the beverage. If you decide to stop in, bonus: this business shares space with a fun kitchen store that has everything from gourmet salts and oils-fun towels and mugs-and all sorts of other items. I should have bought the cola flavored candy bar. Next time! Yes, the parking lot is a little hectic-but be patient, it comes and goes in waves-you'll get a spot. Oh! And really nice restrooms. This is worth a stop and shop. I'll be back for round three.

The coffee was amazing really smooth and well made. We also tried the chocolate strawberry croissant (so good!!) and an avocado egg toast that was fresh, flavorful, and filling. Was told they didn't have seating inside since they were crowded...and told I could sit outside (which had no one). It was 93 degrees out already so I just decided to get it to go. I actually walked inside just to see what it looked like since the photos online were so cute and to my surprise inside wasn't crowded at all and had 4 empty tables.... Super perplexing. I later Was told you have to make reservations to sit inside... which I have no problem doing but I didn't see that on any of the socials *shrugs* Owell. They gave me the wrong latte which actually tasted really good (I didn't even realize they did) but then was given the latte I ordered and it tasted burnt. Honestly, the whole experience just kept getting worse and the customer service isn't amazing (I'm not a picky person about customer service). Rather just go to a coffee shop that is less complicated. This place is super cute though so if you need IG pics definitely give it a try.

The eggs were bland and had no flavor, the arepa tasted old and stale, and the chicharrón picado was mostly fat with very little meat. The portions were small, especially considering the high prices. Breakfast for three people came to $85.40 before tax and tip. The juices were served in very small glasses for $5-$6 each, and the café con leche was $6 with no refills. The only item we truly enjoyed was the pandebono waffles--they were delicious and the highlight of the meal. I do want to recognize our server, Yvannie, who was very friendly and attentive. However, the staff delivering the food seemed disorganized at the beginning, bringing our order to the wrong table and giving us another table's food. The outdoor seating area is charming, with chickens and caged birds that create a unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food quality and value did not match the setting. Overall, this is not a restaurant I would recommend
