Ok, so I am confident that with the crew of children I bring in to Cafe 95 that other patrons would like to get up and leave or possibly under their breath are saying please don't seat them near us... you get the point, however onto my review. Cafe 95 is very consistent, being in the food industry as an award winning Chef, the venue is exactly what I would expect from a restaurant on the side of a highway. However it must be apparent that I have gone more than once, WHY? Simple simple food, well done. There are people in this kitchen that seem to really care. If the food wasn't good, I simply would not go. I can cook whatever I need to. The front of the house has always been considerate, concise and clean. Huge. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or better yet come on down from Bonner's or up from Cda it's worth it. Truly my family favorite read more

Excellent food and reasonably priced. However, the atmosphere was loud and reverberating off the concrete floors and bare walls.

Yep ....it's really really GOOD ....GOOD FOOD and great customer service, that appreciates their customers. Good stuff GET YOU SOME . read more

recently had lunch and breakfast at Cafe 95. Great food and service also. The homemade chili bowl was delicious; just the right amount of 'heat' Omelet for breakfast with Shrimp pesto was a pleasant surprise. Close to property and a great spot for a quick meal. Unpretentious, clean, friendly, good value. What's not to like? read more

Great restaurant, friendly staff and good food. I'm never disappointed and have tried a lot of different meals. Great view of Schweitzer Mtn and nice outdoor seating. You never leave hungry and their prices are reasonable too! read more

This is the place if you are looking for an amazing meal that taste great have big portions and are decently priced. The best cafe in North Idaho for sure! The staff are friendly and attentive (not overbearing). My family and I eat here often and will continue to come back years to come! read more

I always enjoy meeting people here for breakfast. Great food. The staff is really pleasant. The atmosphere is very family friendly.

Hostess is great, we have been in twice. 1st time: As a WAITER YOU NEED TO SMILE be happy that you are there, engage in conversation with your patrons, making them feel at home (this is the Idaho way) not once did server come by and ask how things were or even refilled our coffee, we needed to go to the counter and as for a refill on coffee even ask for our check!!! service could be better A LOT BETTER!!!! 2nd time: Hostess is great, waitress nice, except for the French toast, half off the order was soggy not cooked. So far we are not batting a very good score!!! When you are in a service based business you need to see all customers as they are there to rate your business/company, and they do! read more

Freakishly good food for a roadside cafe. Service can be a bit slow when they're slammed, but this is easily offset but their unusually excellent cuisine. I'm amazed every time I eat there, which is a lot! read more

New place, have things to learn yet. Big barn of a place, no atmosphere at all. Stopped for breakfast, it was ok, not spectacular. Reasonably priced. Service not so great - there appeared to be 4 servers, place not too busy, but nobody came by to offer a coffee refill. There seemed to be only one coffee machine, which is not good, especially at breakfast time! Will give it another chance, this is North Idaho, not famous for its great customer service... read more

This place is a solid roadside cafe. The service was great as well as the food. We ordered the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, fish and chips, burgers, Ruben, fish tacos and chili. Everyone cleaned their plates. Go during the week if you can because they get slammed on the weekends. read more

Went in for the first time since it changed to cafe 95 Just got some appetizers and drinks. Onion rings and loaded fries. Both were very good. Our server James was great. Interacted with my kids and was very attentive and genuinely friendly. All in all a very good visit. I wish them well and continued success. Went again this time for dinner. Once again the food was great and the service was even better. Everyone there is always smiling and genuinely seem like they enjoy their job and the customers they help. Tonight we had the pleasure of having Sheryl-Lynn help us. She was amazing with our 4 year old and even took him too meet the chef that made his toast! (He loves his toast). Thank you guys and gals for the wonderful dinner. read more

Great fish and chips! The tortilla soup was amazing and filled with chicken. Great service and staff were very friendly. We will be coming back again. read more

We eat here multiple times per trip when traveling to northern Idaho. Friendly staff, great portions huuuge cinnamon rolls, great pricing. Always an enjoyable experience if you like to chow down. We've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there, sometimes grabbing food for the drive back to the Spokane airport. We compare everyone else to cafe 95, and most pale in comparison for good old americana eats. read more

We live close to this place so we eat here often. I usually recommend this place because the food has really transformed into something wonderful. But today I think they beat the staff because they weren't smiling and talking to guests like usual. I did not get a refill offered on my coffee and my HB ran out of water. We'll come back of course but maybe after the new staff is trained a little more. read more

I hate to give this place only three stars because the food is really good but it's hard to enjoy the food because they are not open whenever I try to go there. It's their business to run their way but extending the hours on the days you're actually open helps extend the review stars. read more

Great burgers and breakfast. Wish they were open longer. Very nice people. Mushroom omelette is the bomb.

We enjoyed breakfast at the cafe 95 this morning. It was our first morning in Sandpoint and we were very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Chile Verde omelette and it was absolutely delicious. The omelet was fully loaded with the most wonderful pork roast and green chili sauce. I couldn't even eat my whole breakfast. We both enjoyed breakfast, the service was excellent, the place is immaculate. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for breakfast or lunch read more

Cafe 95 is absolutely the best food in the area. Joel the chef is excellent the service is wonderful and our favorite server is Beth. If you want great food good service come to Cafe 95. The only negative is that Claire, the owner, wants the music played too loudly. read more

Stopped in for lunch. I had the salmon and hubs had the Banh Mi sandwich. The salmon was nicely prepared and seasoned. Good deal for $12.95. Friendly service. Clean. What more could you want? read more

We are just passing thru going from Wa State to NYC. This place looks quite unassuming but is charming on the inside with a warm vibe. Service was competent and friendly, food was delish and portions very generous. I would. It hesitate to return in the future... read more

Exceptional food and very reasonable prices. I've been here twice and both times were excellent. Service was fantastic. Couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be back! read more

A solid little diner on the solo road in and out of town. Super hometown feel, very basic menu with a lot of heart, the food comes out hot and fast and they serve beer! I had the fish and chips, they used cod, it was fried perfectly. The fish was moist and flaky the chips were golden and delicious. I would go back read more

If you like rancid meat and your entire meal wrong, this is the place for you.. won't be going back after a phone call to the establishment was shrugged off. What a way to get more business in this day and age. I'm just appalled at their lack of interest for correcting the situation. read more

The service was great, and the menu extensive and very reasonable price wise, however the food was terribly bland. My daughter ordered the mac n cheese burger, the meat was good, but the burger over all was bland tasting. My husband's chicken teriyaki sandwich was served with the bottom bun completely soggy. I had the shrimp and sausage pasta and a salad. Their salad dressing was tasteless, there were a total of 4 small shrimp in the pasta, and way way too much cooked spinach. Plus it had no flavor. We are hoping maybe their breakfasts taste less like a bad TV dinner. read more

Outstanding onion rings and a darn fine burger! We stopped by after doing the Mineral Springs hike, also very nice and saw no one, had the burger and a very nice steak quesadilla that we couldn't finish - not small. Really nice end to a great hike and just in time for the sky to open up. read more

Keep an eye out, because it's easy to miss this little gem on the side of 95! But it's worth it! This is a great place. The food is very high quality, and delicious. The staff is great, as well. We dined in on a weeknight, and didn't have to wait long at all. My dad is something of a connoisseur when it comes to patty melts, and he says theirs is one of the best he's had in a long time. Definitely don't miss this place! read more

Easy to get to from highway. Food is great. Friendly service. Typical cafe diner fare. Order ahead for pick up and go.

I went to Cafe 95 with my mom and brother. My mom me and brother got a MEDIUM rare stake. Us and maybe one other person were there. The food took FOREVER! This was on a Saturday too. Normally (at least in Sandpoint) saturday afternoons are slow. Were waiting for 3 stakes, potatoes, and salad for over 1 and a half hours. We finally got our food. My mom is a chef and she always cuts it and makes sure it is cooked right. She did that but when she cut it open and it was so under cooked that is was less cooked then a rare stake. There was blood! Me and my brothers stakes were under cooked as well! Their food takes forever every time and isn't always the greatest. Other than that it's okay and if your on your way to or thru somewhere in that area and your hungry then I would recommend it but just not to go for lunch. read more

I love the new place! Food was fantastic! Service was outstanding. Our waitress was super attentive! Great location! Definitely recommend!!!

We just stopped for breakfast. Omg it was amazing. Their hash Browns were the best I have had. This place is a must. This was a first time for us. We will definitely go back. Service was outstanding, prices and food was excellent read more

The food and service is good and plentiful but I warn you, the chef loves his onions. I'm not as much a fan of big strips of onions, you might be. I will go back. read more

I can't go on enough about the numerous times my wife and have enjoyed breakfast here. It is consistently good food and prepared in a caring manner. It's not just food slapped on a plate...(I'd go to Waffle House if I wanted that). The owners stress attentiveness to the customers and it shows in the staff. There is plenty of fresh local meats and produce to choose from. I recommend trying the sausages (link or patty) for breakfast. It's very tasty! read more

So after all of the amazing things we heard about this place we decided to try it since we liked Stacy's kitchen that was here before. While our service was AMAZING and I mean AMAZING we both found the food to be just okay I mean it was good but nothing amazing especially for the price you pay, and we only went in for lunch. My husband got the chicken fried steak his favorite it was a decent price I guess considering but the gravy was not all that great he actually had to scrape it off in order to finish it. I ordered the chicken strips and onion rings it was the same 11.95 which I though was spendy for what I got. The chicken strips were okay I guess nothing special and kinda over cooked and the onion rings were way over cooked not worth 11.95 at all. I was really bummed since we heard such good things. read more

Ok so you will notice if you look at any of my reviews that I am very particular as I have been in food service most of my adult life. That being said I would not give 5 stars unless it is truly deserved. Cafe 95 is by far the best cafe in the area bar none. I have been coming for about a month or so and have had nothing but great food and experiences. I would recommend just about anything here. So refreshing to have some place with good food and a staff that really cares about a customers experience. They are very reasonably price and the portions are large, I have never left hungry or disappointed in anyway. I would recommend this cafe to anyone. read more

Great burgers and really cold beer, just what I like. Friendly and fast service. Sorry no photos this time, I was too hungry and wolfed it down too fast, LOL. They have a pretty extensive menu so I will definitely be back to try them again. read more
