Hostess is great, we have been in twice. 1st time: As a WAITER YOU NEED TO SMILE be happy that you are there, engage in conversation with your patrons, making them feel at home (this is the Idaho way) not once did server come by and ask how things were or even refilled our coffee, we needed to go to the counter and as for a refill on coffee even ask for our check!!! service could be better A LOT BETTER!!!! 2nd time: Hostess is great, waitress nice, except for the French toast, half off the order was soggy not cooked. This place is a solid roadside cafe. The service was great as well as the food. We ordered the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, fish and chips, burgers, Ruben, fish tacos and chili. Everyone cleaned their plates. Go during the week if you can because they get slammed on the weekends. read more

Went in for the first time since it changed to cafe 95 Just got some appetizers and drinks. Onion rings and loaded fries. Both were very good. Our server James was great. Interacted with my kids and was very attentive and genuinely friendly. All in all a very good visit. I wish them well and continued success. Went again this time for dinner. Once again the food was great and the service was even better. Everyone there is always smiling and genuinely seem like they enjoy their job and the customers they help. Tonight we had the pleasure of having Sheryl-Lynn help us. She was amazing with our 4 year old and even took him too meet the chef that made his toast! (He loves his toast). We eat here multiple times per trip when traveling to northern Idaho. Friendly staff, great portions huuuge cinnamon rolls, great pricing. Always an enjoyable experience if you like to chow down. We've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there, sometimes grabbing food for the drive back to the Spokane airport. We compare everyone else to cafe 95, and most pale in comparison for good old americana eats. read more

We live close to this place so we eat here often. I usually recommend this place because the food has really transformed into something wonderful. But today I think they beat the staff because they weren't smiling and talking to guests like usual. I did not get a refill offered on my coffee and my HB ran out of water. We'll come back of course but maybe after the new staff is trained a little more. read more

I hate to give this place only three stars because the food is really good but it's hard to enjoy the food because they are not open whenever I try to go there. It's their business to run their way but extending the hours on the days you're actually open helps extend the review stars. read more

We enjoyed breakfast at the cafe 95 this morning. It was our first morning in Sandpoint and we were very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Chile Verde omelette and it was absolutely delicious. The omelet was fully loaded with the most wonderful pork roast and green chili sauce. I couldn't even eat my whole breakfast. The service was great, and the menu extensive and very reasonable price wise, however the food was terribly bland. My daughter ordered the mac n cheese burger, the meat was good, but the burger over all was bland tasting. My husband's chicken teriyaki sandwich was served with the bottom bun completely soggy. I had the shrimp and sausage pasta and a salad. Their salad dressing was tasteless, there were a total of 4 small shrimp in the pasta, and way way too much cooked spinach. Plus it had no flavor. Keep an eye out, because it's easy to miss this little gem on the side of 95! But it's worth it! This is a great place. The food is very high quality, and delicious. The staff is great, as well. We dined in on a weeknight, and didn't have to wait long at all. My dad is something of a connoisseur when it comes to patty melts, and he says theirs is one of the best he's had in a long time. I went to Cafe 95 with my mom and brother. My mom me and brother got a MEDIUM rare stake. Us and maybe one other person were there. The food took FOREVER! This was on a Saturday too. Normally (at least in Sandpoint) saturday afternoons are slow. Were waiting for 3 stakes, potatoes, and salad for over 1 and a half hours. We finally got our food. My mom is a chef and she always cuts it and makes sure it is cooked right. She did that but when she cut it open and it was so under cooked that is was less cooked then a rare stake. There was blood! Me and my brothers stakes were under cooked as well! Their food takes forever every time and isn't always the greatest. Other than that it's okay and if your on your way to or thru somewhere in that area and your hungry then I would recommend it but just not to go for lunch. read more

I can't go on enough about the numerous times my wife and have enjoyed breakfast here. It is consistently good food and prepared in a caring manner. It's not just food slapped on a plate...(I'd go to Waffle House if I wanted that). The owners stress attentiveness to the customers and it shows in the staff. There is plenty of fresh local meats and produce to choose from. I recommend trying the sausages (link or patty) for breakfast. It's very tasty! read more

So after all of the amazing things we heard about this place we decided to try it since we liked Stacy's kitchen that was here before. While our service was AMAZING and I mean AMAZING we both found the food to be just okay I mean it was good but nothing amazing especially for the price you pay, and we only went in for lunch. My husband got the chicken fried steak his favorite it was a decent price I guess considering but the gravy was not all that great he actually had to scrape it off in order to finish it. I ordered the chicken strips and onion rings it was the same 11.95 which I though was spendy for what I got. The chicken strips were okay I guess nothing special and kinda over cooked and the onion rings were way over cooked not worth 11.95 at all. Ok so you will notice if you look at any of my reviews that I am very particular as I have been in food service most of my adult life. That being said I would not give 5 stars unless it is truly deserved. Cafe 95 is by far the best cafe in the area bar none. I have been coming for about a month or so and have had nothing but great food and experiences. I would recommend just about anything here. So refreshing to have some place with good food and a staff that really cares about a customers experience. They are very reasonably price and the portions are large, I have never left hungry or disappointed in anyway. I would recommend this cafe to anyone. read more

The service has gotten slower. Today it was 10 minutes after being seated before getting a menu. (Note: it was not that busy, must were already eating) I ordered and then 20 minutes later over heard a couple being told there were no more mashed potatoes, so I thought ok placed my order just in time. 10 minutes later I'm told the same thing. At this point I have been there 40 minutes. This is not the first time this has happened. Now I wonder how much longer would it take to get my order? So I left saying I should have been told sooner. Knowing that I wasn't very happy, but trying not to make a scene, the waitress tells me thank you as I'm going out the door. So not only is the service bad, but the waitress likes to antganious upset customers. Nice. read more
