Stopped by to grab a coffee on out of town. This was recommended to us by a local. We didn't try any food, but just got coffees to go. The young lady who helped us check out was super nice and helpful. I got an iced latte with strawberry mocha flavor. It's reasonably priced and all of the food looked amazing and I wish I would've gotten something. While we were waiting for our coffees, we were able to browse through some fun vintage and grocery items that they had for sale. They had a lot of great seating if you wanted to dine in. Didn't seem too busy on a Sunday morning. I would recommend coming here. read more

The breakfast bowl was amazing. I had mine with quinoa , avocado, eggs over easy, it was served over kale and mixed greens with a very tasty sauce. My guest had a bed of roasted potatoes which were beautifully crispy. Another guest had the breakfast sandwich which seemed to have everything bagel seasoning on the bread, scrambled egg and bacon with a lovely side of fruit. The coffee and tea was delicious. The service was excellent. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The Ambiance was very quaint settled into an old house with big windows. read more

This cozy, charming cafe on Mineral Point, Wisconsin's main drag offers all the coffee drinks you could want and a crusty, fluffy scone to make you swoon. I sat by the fire in late December and did some writing on my laptop for a couple of hours. I felt right at home. The inside is full of a range of seating, from benches and tables along the wall to couches and comfy chairs near the fire. Service is warm and fast. This spot was recommended to me. I was only able to grab and go so enjoyed a latte and chocolate croissant. They didn't have a miel on their menu and were still able to make it for me. Their food menu looks amazing and while I was waiting, I was able to get a glimpse of some dishes others ordered. The staff were friendly too. I will definitely try this spot when I have more time. This was an amazing find for us. We were headed on a road trip and passing through/near Mineral Point and needed to get lunch. We try to avoid fast food and we were pleasantly surprised to find Cafe 43. The food was really good and the beer was very cold. It's got a cool vibe of a small town place. Pleasant service even though closed for 15 minutes! Kind woman was happy to make a coffee or something small for me in a pinch. I asked for a lemonade and she promptly presented a large gorgeous lemonade with lemon slice and plenty of of ice to go while I used the restroom on my journey to Northern Wisconsin. My wife Megan and I hosted our wedding reception at Cafe 43 and Eliza's Lounge -- I'm not from Mineral Point originally so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but Megan and I were absolutely blown away. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing, and the owner Molly was so generous and accommodating throughout the planning process. Plus, everything was extremely affordable. You gotta try this place! I had the turkey/Brie sandwich and when I tell you that it was so tender and juicy...just know it is sooo good! Husband has the bang bang shrimp tacos and holy man...huge shrimp lightly breaded in a tasty batter...the hand cut fries are lovely as well. Just spent a wonderful evening at Cafe 43 - lovely setting and food for the celebration of Joe and Megan's wedding!

The vibe of this cute, roomy cafe is so inviting. We sat by the windows and soaked up the sun while we devoured our Saturday morning breakfast and cozied up next to the fireplace with coffee the next morning. The food was outstanding both days. Fresh baked bread (including gluten free!!!), the breakfast potatoes were excellent and the fruit/berry blend was the freshest I've had at a cafe/restaurant. The service was absolutely top notch. We waited maybe 15 minutes and the owner/staff were so friendly! We got the wrong order initially, they immediately corrected it, food was out 5 minutes later, and it was hands-down the best breakfast we've had when traveling. They even sent us off with a GF scone to try! The local art displayed is so cool. I could hang out in this space every day... what a dream. We will absolutely be back to Mineral Point and Cafe 43 will be our go-to every time. I'm currently re-booking the AirBnB's upstairs for next time... Thank you for the excellent service, food, and welcoming atmosphere and humans. I really enjoy everything about Cafe 43 in Downtown Mineral Point, WI. The ambiance of Cafe 43 starts with hardwood floors, a fireplace, and huge windows, along with a variety of seating options, both indoors and out - weather permitting. Friendly and competent staff, work within the high ceilings and white walls adorned with original art, to make this a sure bet for an intimate lunch, a meeting of friends, or a person looking for great music, and a chance to quietly observe the world from this historic former hotel. I initially went to their lovely little market, where I found wonderful Amish Salsa, fresh-milled organic flours, local Hooks cheeses, pastas, soups, and plenty more, but eventually found myself drawn to the cafe next door for barista coffees and teas. If I was a drinking woman, I would have loved to sit at their beautiful Hickory(?) bar, but instead, I have enjoyed several meals made to order, that I found delightful, generous, and rather more cosmopolitan that I expected for a town of this size. Despite their rigorous attention to the variety and quality of food provided, the cafe retains a friendly and competent air of casual welcoming. I have found myself recommending the cafe to friends and strangers alike, even trying once, (actually twice!) to lure some visiting people whom I overheard talking about lunch options! We were on a farm trip. We were coming home from the country, looking for some lunch, but most of the places were closed due to Covid, or they just weren't open that day. Then, we found Cafe 43. The perfect place to just relax, and eat some food after a long morning. It was cold, and raining outside. But as long as we were within the walls of Cafe 43, we felt safe, warm, and cozy. The customer service was great. The people were very kind. Our food looked beautiful before we ate it. For dessert, we got apple crumble pie, and chai tea. I will certainly come back here again. I adore this cafe. It is THE place for espresso and delicious baked goods in Mineral Point. The baristas are excellent and pull the most smooth and balanced shots. The best cortado I've ever had. The last time I was in, I ordered a slice of the apple pie. I really don't care much for pie, but this one had a streusel topping and looked more like a coffee cake so I took a gamble. The filling was unlike any kind of pie I've had. It wasn't mushy or gelatinous, was served warm, and the streusel topping delivered with a crunchy delightfulness. The chef put her/his/their imagination, talent and experience into making this dish!! It was unbelievably good!! It came with a beautiful presentation of surprises- truly farm fresh greens, dressing, a scattering of in-season berries, and thinly sliced avocado. My husband very much enjoyed his BLT.
