I opted for the Friday lunch special at the grill area, which was a Philly cheesesteak with toppings. I also added the sweet potato fries for a total with tax of just $7.76. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and tasty - nice! I found the service at the grill was somewhat inefficient and slow, but the service at the checkout area was friendly and efficient. One of the better features of this cafeteria was the spacious and clean dining area with plenty of natural light, a great view of the landscaped patio area, but no background music. A member of the staff cleaned the dining area before the lunch rush - nice! The medical center has a strict photo policy, which included a visit from the cafeteria manager, a hospital manager and two members of security. Yikes! At BRKTHROUGH, you compete in challenge rooms (there are 40 of them, although a couple were unavailable during our visit) - they last a minute or longer, and are categorized as Physical (requiring speed, agility, coordination, etc), Mental (brainpower, trivia, memory, and puzzle-solving), or Skill (precision, dexterity, patience). The descriptors above came from the BRKTHROUGH website, but I can confirm that they are descriptive of the challenges. The room type/difficulty is shown on a triangle, so they are often a combination of two items (for example, mostly physical with some skill-based components). Every room is scored based on your completion (or lack, thereof) out of 100 points. You can redo rooms as often as you like, keeping the highest score. Your team has an RFID wristband to enter the rooms. Your goal is to earn as many points as you can during the time period you paid for (we did 2 hours). Not only do you try to get your best score, there is a leaderboard to show how you are doing against the other teams in the building. You can earn a prize if you obtain a certain minimum score, or win against the other groups. Other than the boys arguing over strategies, we had a good time. Even with young kids, we were able to complete a lot of the rooms. There are plenty of rooms that could be completed by those with physical limitations, but obviously not all of them. We had a good time and the time flew by. There is also a bar and restaurant and a few games to play after your time is up.
