There were African decorations throughout the place and African-themed paintings on some walls, and the orange walls give the place a warm feel. Definitely suitable for groups of friends or for a date. Unfortunately, the service was very spotty. We often had to wait (to get menu, to order, to pay), and I notice the server (possibly owner?) was just taking care of bigger dining groups before coming to us. Then whenever we got his attention, it was short-lived, but on a slightly better note, he did apologize for the delay. We ordered a 4-dish vegetarian platter with mushrooms (Kantischa), spinach (Hamli Spinat), red lentils (Tumtumo Brsen), and potato curry (Alicha) as well as Kulwa Berai (sautéed beef with peppers and onions in a tomato-based sauce), both served with injera. The vegetarian platter was all good and tasty, but I was hoping for more flavors with the beef dish. I would probably go back on a less busy day.

We initially perceived her to be extremely rude and over bearing and somewhat condescending towards other Africans only for her to suddenly convert into an angel sharing experience, giving hugs by the time we left. I will most definitely be going back but if you do decide to go, do not say you were not warned of her somewhat brash first impression. That said, she grows on you like your favorite grand mother.

The menu is sort of limited, where you pick a handful of items to be served on a single large plate and shared. We got 3 kinds of beef, chicken, lentils, and white cabbage. They all had a good flavor, and some were quite spicy. It was served with lots of bread on the side, which was flat, soft, yet somewhat fluffy. The way to eat this is by grabbing the food with the bread (kind of like making a little wrap). It's 18 EUR per person, which is a decent deal. I also got the non-alcoholic "momo is back" cocktail (9 EUR), which was a mix of lime juice, grenadine, peach juice, and guava juice. It was tasty and served in a nice cup with garnish on top. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were able to get a table for two with no wait on a weekday night, but I know it can be quite busy at peak times.
