I did not stay in the hotel but this review is for the restaurant and bar area of the hotel. My group had a table near the window with a great view in the middle afternoon. We came from California and the weather came with us because it was quite lovely without a cloud in the sky. We started with presecco before tea as a celebration. Preseco is sparkling wine but we cannot call it champagne or we might make the French mad as our server explained. Normally this was a traditional for graduation but considering our Oxford Global business program was ending it was time to celebrate. We ordered 6 orders of High tea for I people but it was way too much food. Considering we haven't eating lunch this was a late lunch or dinner. The scones are the best! Sweet butter and jam in a scone is devine. I'm not going to say amazing because I am resisting the urge. The scones hands down beat any butter milk southern biscuit I have had in America. This was shocking considering most English food in my opinion lack flavor and spice. Everything is mostly bread, basic entree and some form of dessert. Personally I prefer focus on the main course with dessert and bread optional. The high tea spread was mostly finger food sandwiches and dessert items. The tea and scones were my favorite part. Just lounging and having a great time with friends made for a great time. I will try again. This location was very affordable and will not break the bank. Cheers!

We were trying to find a place in town without getting back on the bus to the park and ride, getting the car, and then driving around to the other side of Oxford. Voila! This place made itself know. To be honest, we were going to hit up the Pieminister on High Street when we stumbled by this place. I was delighted with how good a choice we made! I got the hullomi fries. OMG. I literally could've just had that and been happy. It was very good with the sauce and jalapeños. I also ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Less wowed by that as I'd hoped. The breading didn't stay on the chicken as well and nothing about the flavor stood out to me. No worries as my dessert, sticky toffee pudding, made up for the sandwich. It was perfectly done and tasted amazing. I shared with one of my dinner companions because I was full, but wish I had ordered my own so I could take half home. The fries and the pudding could've made their own meal. Both are worth going back for, frankly. Again, we made a good choice with this place overall

The nachos were a bit pitiful looking but tasted ok. The chicken in the chicken ceasar was actually seasoned and cooked well. The meat was moist and juicy. We were seated quickly. The men working were friendly and let us know it might be a moment as they were taking care of a large party ahead of us. We were fine with that as we planned on doing the 2 for £13 cocktails to start, but we appreciated the warning! We both for the French martinis which we loved. The server brought out our small plate quickly and it was filling enough that we were fine to wait on entrees (though it came out rather quickly despite how busy they were). The pad Thai and burger were both great and flavorful. We did one entree and then a deal where we got a 3 course meal for £22. To finish the meal the popcorn chocolate brownie was decadent and I would 10/10 have it again. The vibes were cool and a great way to end the day. Prices were very reasonable as well. I would recommend this as a date night spot as well. Thank you fora fun experience! Glad we stopped by!
