So we came upon this place because we planned on going to Choco Lab across the street, I was disappointed to see they were super busy so came here to CafeLab. My latte was SO good. I got an iced caramel latte and tbh I had low hopes. It was so good and delicious, the espresso in it was so creamy and flavorful without being overwhelmingly strong. Literally a perfect latte and the best one I've ever had, worth its price. Highly recommend going here for a nice café before experiencing Old San Juan!!! Pretty sure I'll be returning tomorrow for another one.

Nice Cafe! Super chill. They have restrooms and seating. Got a chance to hangout with friends here while waiting for our chocobar seats (restaurant across the street). I got a bombon and loved it! Definitely check this place out.

My kind of coffee shop. Not too busy. The barista knew exactly what I wanted. Sitting area was real inviting. There are tables for working and the music was not too loud. The coffee was very flavorful.

Superb. Friendly, quiet, reasonable. And the cortado was delicious. Hope to get back there before we leave.

Good coffee and great customer service! Went to another coffee place next door that was rude and this was a welcome change.

Grabbed an iced latte and an iced tea to go: the latte was smooth and well-balanced, not over-roasted like a lot of tourist-zone coffee shops nearby, and the iced tea was refreshing after walking the cobblestone streets. The menu keeps it simple -- espresso drinks, paninis (Cuatro Sombras, Yauco, Viejo San Juan), open toast with avocado & egg or salmon, and a solid breakfast lineup with guava butter toast and dulce de papaya oatmeal that lean into the Puerto Rican flavor profile. Loved seeing local sodas and juices in the fridge case alongside the usual water and La Croix. Staff moved efficiently even with a small crowd at the counter. Good spot to duck into for a quality coffee break in Old San Juan -- feels like a real local roaster rather than a chain, and the space itself is worth a look even if you're just passing through.

Service was somewhat confusing... you have to order at the counter and then wait for them to call your name. They called our names a couple times but were not ready each time leading to our confusion. We ordered a latte and the croissant and both were delicious! Would definitely come back for this croissant!

If you're on Calle San Francisco and the Coach store is to your right, keep walking till you see a yellow chemex sign on your left - that is the entrance to the coffee shop. Once you enter, it's a very tight space at the register and the alley is in the back with a few tables. The only menu I was able to peruse was that on their iPad which was annoying because I felt like I was holding up the line. I ended up ordering a small iced latte. I initially ordered it to enjoy in their alley, so I was told I can pay when I leave. I was there mid September and as much as I wanted to enjoy sipping my latte in the alley, it was super hot and stuffy. They could use some fans. Plus, it was taking forever to have the latte brought to me. As such, I went to the front to let the staff know I'll take it to go only to find him giggling with some friends. I guess that's why it took forever for me to get my drink. The latte itself wasn't bad, but considering the cost and the useless wait time, I would've gladly passed on this coffee shop.

I'm not sure if they offered this option for all of their drinks, but at least for what we got (iced latte and matcha latte), they offer a sweetener that comes in the form of spice. Get the spiced option. I ordered the matcha latte, but the spice just brought that drink to an entirely different level. It was different but tasted very cozy. So refreshing, and exactly what I needed after a long day of walking in OSJ. The space itself is also so beautiful. At first glance it's just a hole in the wall with no seating, but when the barista leads you to the back, there's a small, extremely cute, outdoor garden where you can sit and enjoy your drinks in a cool environment. It also just feels so separate from the vibe of OSJ and was very welcome. The only disappointment was the oatmeal cookie I ordered which ended up being stale and crumbly. I was hoping it'd be more soft and memorable, especially since the barista recommended it to me. In conclusion, get the spiced matcha latte, and let yourself sit down and relax in their hidden oasis in OSJ.
