The reply from the manager. No solution i guess

I came to that coffee to work. I barely set up my computer that the red-headed lady came to me in a very aggressive way to say that I had the obligation to order. Three minutes in and you already feel unwelcome. That lady needs to learn how to receive customers. Where is the manager, he needs to teach her? I left... they lost several orders as I had planned to stay the day. Note that the 3.5 euro coffee is very small, to say the least.

Finding Cafe Capitale in the midst of tourist hell is God sent. Once you step inside you instantly feel you're in a cute, cozy, neighborhood local spot. Food: I ordered a marble cake and a chai latte. Both were good. Price: 5.80 EUR Service: Super friendly. Ambiance: Very casual. Mix of people - locals on their laptops and some tourists. Would I go back? Absolutely. I stay at a hotel nearby and will now make this my usual spot.

Cafe latte. Great hipster ambience and free wifi. Good place to rest during a whole day of touring

Great place to sit down and relax. Their cafe latte was a bit too sweet. There seems to be a lot of locals here working on their laptops. This place was also recommended by our tour guide as one of his favorite.

A great find in Brussels when staying in the area a few weeks back. Its a cozy little corner spot within a few minute walk from the Grand Place in a touristy area. We stopped in here for our caffeine fix in the morning while exploring the town by foot. I unfortunately fell victim to their infamous "step" in the middle of the place, not sure why its there, but its only a slight step. We came back here later for their freshly made fruit smoothies. Both times, the place is fairly full with the afternoon crowd even larger. Had a very relaxing bohemian type feel to it. And they have free wifi which helped with exploring the area further, especially with a limited US data plan...

Coffee tastes the same as it did before (awesome)... Toilets are still missing but apparently will be added... Will check that !

This is my number one spot for coffee in Brussels! I'm always in search of perfect balanced coffee taste - and here it is, unexpectedly in the middle of Belgium! Totally recommend the place. Prices are great too if you're on a budget

In Belgium for 3days. Luckily I walked right by this place. Lattes to die for. They take the coffee seriously and you can taste it. Most I have visited have no flavor syrups but they had them all like in the USA. Thanks

    Excellent!!

Just Excellent!!! The best coffee-place in town, honestly! I'm a local and I go here all the time: supreme coffees, juices.....and delicious pastry!!!!!!! I'm used to find places like this in NYC....and now this "wave" also made it to Brussels (actually already a couple of years now). Nice interior, vintage style.

One of the nicest coffee dhop in Brussels. They roast their beans and offers a good range of specialty coffee and a various food option. Staff is ok but didn't find them particularly friendly. I tried their cappuccino and it was excellent as the tuna sandwich. Price wise, it was about 7€ which is fair enough. The place itself is very cosy and offers a good place to relax and have a conversation. It was always full with people in the morning during my 3 days stay and it was again later ( even after 7pm). Located off the Grand Place, this is a place that is recommended when you are looking for some good coffee.

Good coffee in a typical coffeehouse environment. A nice place to step away from the bustle outside.

Horrible coffee, arrogant staff. You can find much better coffee and service in Brussels.

The drink prices are a little pricier compared to surrounding bars, but they have lots of seating for large groups, so it's worth it. We came here for my partner's birthday and asked if we could bring in some snacks and cake, which they allowed. They also have a ton of board games that you can just borrow for free, making for a fun time. They do accept card, and they even have coffee available if you need a pick me up.

Good beer selection, lots of space and games. My wife and I got a couple rounds of trappist beers, all of which were excellent of course. They were very reasonably priced and properly served in appropriate, matching glasses. They've got a handful of games including a couple versions of trivial pursuit and card games I didn't recognize. But we opted for Scrabble - they've got scrabble in at least 4 languages which I thought was very cool. Would definitely return

Like every other restaurant in Belgium, you pay for a small surcharge for dining in. I opted for this option because I wanted to be able to enjoy my breakfast. My friend and I placed the following orders: a bottled beer (yes, for breakfast), omelette with cheese, salmon quiche, and today's soup (two options but I chose the tomato soup). The omelette (7 euros) was delicious and came with a side of salad. It's cheesy (as it's supposed to be) and delicious. The tomato soup was nothing special but only costed 4 euros and I got so much bread with my soup! Worth it. The salmon quiche (5.1 euros) was okay but filling. The beer (3.4 euros) was absolutely tasty and a perfect complement to breakfast. We spent about 20 euros on the breakfast for two. Definitely on the pricey side of things but at least it was a good meal. Service was very friendly! Staff spoke English very well.

The cafe is quite big, with a good size seating arrangement away from the counter. A big selection meets you as soon as you walk through the doors, and walking along the display of cakes, pastries, and breads will lead you to a glass window through which you can see the deliciousness being made by the baker. They also have a good selection of sandwiches, small pizzas, and such. Staff is friendly and attentive. Have not had to wait here at all, rather it is the staff that has to wait for me to make up my mind: "...one of this..uhh no no wait this, no uh... Maybe both... And also one of those... And a coffee, a large one... Oooooo and what's this!" - Paul's selection will make you very indecisive. Please note however that everything is about 10-20 cents more if you sit in the cafe instead of taking it to go.
