Glad we stopped by on our way home from walking the dog at Portage Park. We sat outside and tried the mushroom, meat and spinach pierogis. All of them were tasty tho the mushroom were my favorite. We got a couple frozen packages to go. The server was super friendly. read more

We just happened upon this place today and it was the most wonderful experience. The owners were so friendly and talked us through the menu. We ordered a mix of pierogi and they were all SO good. If we were going straight home we would have bought frozen pierogi to go. The meal was perfectly topped off with a dark chocolate/orange hot chocolate. I will 1000000% be back. This place is a gem! What a great addition to portage park. First of all, you walk in and you feel like you're being transported to Europe somewhere. The owner is super cool and welcoming. We weren't sure what to try and he told us we could mix it up! Presentation is everything! They have the cutest utensils and server ware. He started us with the cold chocolate - ginger and dark chocolate - we thought it was a drink but you eat it with a cool spoon. Who would have thought, ginger and chocolate? My hubby doesn't even like ginger and be loved it. For the pierogi we mixed it up - sweet cheese, mushroom and potato bacon. I wish we would have gotten 6 different flavors to try more. Let me tell you, they were all amazing but my fave was the mushroom for sure! We finished with a hot dark chocolate, which we split. I recommend doing that since it is super thick and rich, in a good way! It was something special I'll tell you!!! I highly recommend this place. The owner said they do live music on their piano so definitely going to go when they have it. Can't wait to go back and try more stuff out!!! read more

We went for pierogis and fell in love with the place! I had a craving for pierogis before a show at the Patio theater and lucked out that Caesar Pierogi and cafe was only a few blocks away. The food was good, but the atmosphere was incredible. Relaxing and warm, the walls of the cafe are lined with books, and there's an eclectic feel to the whole place. The worker (I'm assuming owner, cook and server) had us laughing and engaged. We'll definitely be back! read more

Awesome food here!!! There a couple of tables inside this cute place if you want to dine in but it is mostly a carryout/take home spot to get delicious pierogi and kopytka. They sell wonderful chocolate drinks! Lots of flavors to choose from. They are more like drinking melted chocolate!! The people are friendly and funny and make you feel at home. I hope this hidden gem becomes a neighborhood staple for many. Stopped in and felt like we were in Europe! The cafe is beautiful. Literally felt like we were sitting sipping espresso in Europe. The food was outstanding, the pierogis were so great and it was fantastic to be able to have a combo of pierogis instead of all one flavor. They had other food as well but we were really looking forward to the pierogis and they were delicious! I would highly come back, and they were so friendly and the service was fantastic. The owner and his colleague were the friendliest hosts!! The space is a cute shop with an adjacent bookstore with other items for sale. I stopped in here tonight for dinner and was completely blown away! The shop itself is cozy and welcoming, with warm lighting and cafe tables to enjoy your purchase. This place is all about pierogis and hot chocolate (though they also have coffee and tea) and they do these things amazingly well. I carried out three orders of six pierogis, which was perfect for two of us for dinner. We had the mushroom-mozzarella, spinach-feta, and potato-cheese-bacon flavors and they were all delicious. I also ordered the dark "drinking chocolate"-- hold onto your hats, it is far more than a hot cocoa. The last time I had hot chocolate this good I was in Europe- a drink so rich that the surface begins to firm up as it cools. The taste, the texture...it was perfection. I ordered the milk hot chocolate for my five year old and it wasn't as rich, which was just right for her. I am so thrilled this gem has chosen Portage Park as its home! This place is a new little gem in Portage Park. The pierogis are amazing and taste homemade. I recommend the mushroom and mozzarella because of the flavor, but we also tried the pulled pork, potato and cheese, and spinach and feta- all were delicious!! When you do come, make sure to top off your meal with a dark hot chocolate. Literally the best hot chocolate I've ever had. This place is great for adults and children! Ceasars Pierogies is an absolute must! We had an assortment of Pierogis's and they were all absolutely delicious, it was hard to pick out a favorite. We also had the Raspberry Gelato and the Pastashio Gelato, they were both amazing, I have never had better Gelato in Chicago. Ceasar was really helpful and friendly, the prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is very cute and comfortable. It has a European Cafe' feel to it. I have to go back and check out the hot chocolate made with Ferrari Chocolate and add an Espresso shot and of course get more of those delicious Pierogies. read more

Christian welcomed us to his cafe with a smile and a background story of the cafe. My husband and I chose to mix and match the Pierogi. They were so delicious!! The dough is top notch and you can taste that it is homemade. We had a little coffee gelato to finish excellent flavor. The cafe itself is adorable. We'll decorated great vibe.
