Amazing! The studio is absolutely beautiful and organized in such a great way. It's easy to go around at your leisure and take all the photos at the different scenes you have in your package. The day of taking Picture: I had a great experience overall--the photographers are experienced and the studio is very nice, clean and well-equipped. However, the lack of an organized system for taking pictures led to unnecessary long waiting and confusion. Because there was no clear process for determining who was next, a misunderstanding occurred between myself and another parent. I cannot believe the school has this company to take the yearbook photos and promotes their products. I thought because they were advertised and contracted by the school that this would be a good, easy and affordable option but that couldn't be further from the truth. The fee to just take the pictures is a lot, then the cheapest package is $200 for only 1 image!? That's insane. A usb with all photos is $1,800!? Why would a school promote something that is so expensive when they know how important this time is for a senior. It is crazy. I would not recommend this company, you are better off hiring a photographer on your own. Do not waste your time or money. Prices should be upfront but they're not. Do not do your senior photos here. That's the bottom line. Just go do the required yearbook photo and move on. I scheduled the "elite" experience because based on my older 2 students and their senior experiences, I thought it would be fun for my youngest and that the photos would be high quality and reasonably priced. This experience was $399 and included hair, makeup and limitless touchups but you supposedly get a $200 credit back. The makeup and hair session was good - sweet makeup artist - though she had to leave during my daughter's session and the promised touch ups were done by another very sweet girl who tried her best - but annoyed that we paid for this and they did not schedule someone to cover the whole time. Photographer was very sweet also and easy to work with. The positives end here. Nowhere did they tell me that the only way to view the photos was in a live presentation and they do not give you the photo prices until after the session - and they are ridiculously expensive. During the shoot the manager kept hounding the photographer to get my under-age daughter to go into a room without me. I guess they were wanting to film a promo/endorsement thing - but he never said that until I asked the photographer what was going on. I told him that would be fine but she wasn't going into a room with a strange man without a parent. He told me and that the parent isn't allowed in - I finally stopped the manager and told him that was not going to happen. It was bizarre and a little creepy - and the first sign that this place has issues. It is a 30-45 minute drive into the studio. I expected that I would be able to view the photos online and select what I wanted. Not the case. They require you to schedule a presentation in person to go thru the photos, as if that is a benefit and not a high -pressure sales tactic and penalty for ordering the elite experience. I told them that we travel a lot and will not be able to do this. They agreed to a zoom meeting - which despite me calling to confirm twice including an hour prior - they never sent a link for. Got another one scheduled. Sweet guy, but how they expect you to choose photos in that limited time is beyond me - especially when you are trying to understand their convoluted pricing. I asked if I can just view on line to order. He said he'd open a ticket. They required ANOTHER presentation for me to view the photos again to make an order. Another zoom meeting. Another sweet presenter - I told her I needed more time. She was getting off in 20 minutes. We had narrowed the photos down so I again asked - can I just do this on my own time online? She said she would open a ticket. She emailed and said it had been denied but sent me screenshots of the proofs so that I could use those to make a decision. She was at least trying. Even so, I still cannot just order. I need to schedule ANOTHER presentation- live or zoom - to order. (Hear the screams of frustration. Save yourself.) They told me they offer financing and payment plans for the photos. That's really all you need to know right there. If the photos are so expensive that you have to finance, you'd be better off hiring an independent photographer. But again, they do not tell you the package pricing until after the photos are taken. I checked local photographer prices - save yourself from this ridiculousness and just order with a real business. I wish I had. read more

This year, my child's high school contracted for the first time with CADY studios for senior yearbook pictures. I found this a little odd as most schools do this for free at the beginning of the school year but our newsletter urged everyone to make appointments before school started to assure your place in the yearbook. The fee was $30 just to take the photo for the yearbook and the school said that could be put forth purchases. Not! (We were told that wasn't right at our follow up session even though we had the email in hand). We drove almost 30 minutes and decided to pay for a "most popular" sitting. We arrived 15 minutes before our session time as suggested by the numerous texts/emails the company sends. There were loads of students in the large room from schools in Pearland and 3 schools in Katy ISD. I spoke to several of the parents and we all agreed it was not customary to have to pay a fee to get the yearbook photo done and none of us knew how much the other pictures being taken cost as CADY doesn't provide that information until AFTER the pictures are taken and it's emailed to you. We were there for 3 hours and didn't finish one of the photo options our senior wanted as too many people were waiting for that particular scene. The photographers did not offer any pose suggestions but we were prepared with photos of our own we wanted. I was completely shocked when the email came with the pricing. The lowest package is $179 for 4 sheets of the SAME pose. You can NOT buy any graduation gown photos which they take until the spring of the students senior year. To purchase all images on a USB drive it is $899. This place reminds me of a large Picture People studio from many years ago located in malls. It is entirely the same set up just catered for seniors now. The photographers we had were not degreed and some were being trained the day we were there. When we looked online immediately after our session at the Google and yelp reviews this company is given 1 out of 5 stars. I gotta admit, I'm completely dissatisfied our school system chose this business without vetting it properly. (Update 2 weeks later we noticed their ranking had gone up to a 4/5 which we find odd and probably clients haven't been given the pricing yet. As you finish the first picture session they give you a card urging you to please review their service right then.) Fast forward to our presentation session. Overall we were happy with the photos but some of the edits were very overdone. My daughter looked like someone had whitened all of her teeth which isn't her natural look at all. To fix this we were told we would have to come back to review the corrected edits. A third trip and 30 minute drive?? We opted not to select the smile with her teeth photos for several pics because of this. I had asked via email after receiving the price list 2 weeks ago if we could purchase additional poses without purchasing another package. I was told yes and it would be $30 per image. I immediately calculated how I could get the most pictures for a modest budget. We were told at the presentation session it was $50 an image. I told the presenter I had it in writing in an email for $30 each and found the email. I showed the assistant manager, Raegan, and then asked if she knew how low their ratings were on various platforms? She seemed unknowing to this but I proceeded to tell her CADY studios had a 1 out of 5 two weeks ago when we visited and with this type of customer service I can see why. Employees tell customers one price and then we are hit with additional costs on delivery. Raegan did make the purchase correct with the $30 we were quoted and I commend her on that. I appreciated her follow through on customer service but I can not in good faith give this business a good rating. I agree wholeheartedly with the other 1 star ratings we first saw two weeks ago, it's a racket and my advice is to wait until school is back in session to get your FREE Senior yearbook photo taken. There are far more affordable sources of qualified photographers in the Houston/Katy area and you won't spend nearly this amount and most will give you their digital images with your purchase. read more

Extremely disappointed in the retouching and how dark the background was. They were so dark you couldn't tell the background from her hair. The retouching looking like a social media filter. Not happy at all with these photos. And to top it off the package pricing was OUTRAGEOUS. Complete disappointment. We couldn't travel 30 miles to get to the studio so we booked a "session" to be done at school thinking it would be a similar experience. Wrong. Leading up to the special day we received numerous emails encouraging us that this day was all about my daughter, she would have time to have a few changes of clothes, pick our favorite things (musical instrument, sports item), take pictures with someone else, and even bring a pet. When we arrived at school, the school did not allow me (parent) to go back so my daughter was left to take photos on her own. It was a madhouse back there with crowds of students scrambling to take their yearbook photos. My daughter felt rushed through, could not insist on changing her outfit as she had wanted to because it was so rushed. Buyer beware. I cannot stress enough how incredibly unprofessional they have been through every step of this, and how much they ripped me off on my son's senior pictures. The photos themselves are okay, but the part that is absolutely unacceptable is that they just lie and give you the absolute least possible while taking way too much of your money. Between them refusing to take my son's second outfit photos, insisting that we hadn't paid for them when we did and then refusing to give me the digital images when I had paid for them but they then applied a discount AFTER they had already put on the order form that I had received the images and let me even select which ones I wanted which apparently disqualified me and now to get the images I'd basically have to pay double. Which, of course, their horrendous ordering system didn't bother telling me. Their customer service chat was rude and incredibly unhelpful. So I'm basically just screwed when it comes to senior photos because I will not spend a penny more with people who care that little about their customers.
