I have been to this location numerous times, first time writing a review. On 7/3/26 at 5:56pm, I told my son to grab some food from this location. I ordered 3 different tacos: chicken, steak, and grilled shrimp. Asked for flour tortilla, Britney (the employee) said that they can't accommodate that. I have seen them do that in the past. I personally don't like corn tortilla. Moving forward, so since they didn't have grilled shrimp taco, I got an extra birrio taco.($17.50), I also got their Protein plate that came with rice, beans and their delicious Mexican salad. They left out my flour Tortilla. Food tasted, fresh, delicious and was packed with lots of flavor. It was also plentiful of ingredients. Tacos had cilantro and onions. For the 3 regular Tacos ($10.05). It came with the green salsa which was way too spicy for my liking. (was not warned about that). Burned my tongue. Also, came with garnishes like: lime and red slices of radish. Nicely packed/packaged. Food was ready right on time. Given time was at 7pm. Total for all that was $30.24 including tax. Minus the tip. They have few spots of parking, outside seating, and my son said that the Taco place was nice and clean. No public restroom & has several other locations. They have many other dishes to choose from: Burritos, Sopes, Fajitas, Tacos, Tortas, Taquitos, Salads, beverages, Huaraches, & more.. Established back in 1992. The receipt said somebody else's name, but the lady who helped my son was named Britney. So Thanking them all. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Will recommend! read more

If you are looking for a large, heavy, flavorful burrito, this is your place to go! They have a nice seating area outside with plenty of tables with benches and stools to stay and eat! There is a fairly large menu with several choices. We went with a California burrito, chose beef and a Burrito Supreme, chose beef. The California burrito was fantastic and was packed with delicious ingredients! The Burrito Supreme was just as delicious and they did not skimp on stuffing both burritos. We also had chips with a side of pico de gallo, which was good, but could have had some jalapeños and fresh lime juice.‍ The flour tortillas were soft, fresh, and warm! I can't tell you how many times I've passed this little spot on the corner driving around Studio City. Finally made my stop today and was surprised at how big their menu is. Prices are just a little higher than I expected, but it's a cool little place with outdoor seating right on the corner. I'm usually driving by in the morning, so I don't know what the lunch or dinner crowd is like, but I was the only one out there this morning. The girl at the window was super friendly and helpful. I ended up going with the taquito combo platter. It comes with three taquitos, rice, and beans. I went with chicken for the filling. When she handed me the box, I opened it up and honestly said, "Wow." The presentation totally caught me off guard in a good way. The taquitos were big, golden and crisp, loaded with chicken inside and stacked up over a bed of shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, diced tomatoes, and a generous sprinkle of cotija cheese over the top. They didn't hold back on toppings. The rice was fluffy and soft with good flavor, and the beans were thick and creamy with melted cheese on top. As for the patio, it's got a chill vibe. You're outside under a covered awning with green-painted picnic benches and a slate-style tile floor with a good amount of space and a nice view of the street. It's not fancy, but it's got that old-school local taqueria feel to it. Overall, it was a good experience. This is the one and only taqueria that I keep coming back to. They make a great burrito. Sorry...strike that...they USED to make a great burrito. Recently went back for my Cactus dosage and regular order -- carne asada with everything --$17 mind you. It just wasn't the same. It was all bean, little avocado, and practically NO MEAT. This was the saddest burrito I've ever eaten in California. I highly recommend you look somewhere else if you're in the mood for Mexican food. The amount of rice inside the burrito was ridiculous. Barely any meat, the carne asada tastes like it's boiled in a vat and the fish burrito barely had any fish and was mostly batter. The rice is poorly cooked, and it makes up about 60% of the burrito. They ask if you want salsa, cilantro, and condiments then they don't even include them. The red salsa tastes like its tomato sauce from a can diluted with water. Sadly I'd literally rather eat del taco than hit this place up again. (And i hate del taco) Wife ended up having to eat her burrito with a fork because it was falling apart. Grabbed dinner last night. My kids bean and cheese burrito was drenched in oil and there was a hair in her burrito. The fajitas has 1 oz of chicken in it (yes I weighed it) and 5 oz of bell peppers (also drenched in oil). They also gave me a flour burrito tortilla for fajitas. Honestly some of the best tacos I've ever had. My friend got the carnesada tacos while I got the fish taco combo. The combo came with 3 tacos as well as beans, rice, and a salad. The tacos were loaded with toppings and were fresh as they were super crunchy. I also ordered an horchata which was very sweet and by far one of my favorite drinks. I've eaten at this place regularly in the past, but it seems to be under new management now. Prices have gone up, and the quality has gone down. We ordered two burritos that were almost entirely filled with lettuce. They never had lettuce in them before, let alone so much of it, and it made them totally flavorless. There was barely any meat or substance to them. For two people, the bill came to $50, which is hard to justify given how little food we actually got. Ordered a carnitas quesadilla to-go since I was on the way home and wanted something quick. By the time I got home, 5 minutes later, the to-go box had a layer of grease almost half an inch deep. 2 of the 4 pieces were completely soaked in grease and not edible, even after trying to soak off as much of the grease as possible. Of the two that I was able to salvage one had a chunk of pork in it that was 95% fat and had to be pulled out. This place wouldn't even be worth it if it was half the price of what I paid. read more

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered a burrito for about $15. When I asked for extra hot sauce, they refused to give me any. It's getting ridiculous, almost everywhere you go these days, if you ask for extra sauce, they either make a big deal out of it or charge you like it's something special. For a place charging $15 for a burrito, the least they can do is provide a little extra sauce. I won't be coming back. Yes the burrito got slightly bigger. But it's filled with rice and old carnitas. You can taste that its old pork. The amount of meat compared to rice is a joke. Not worth 17$ a burrito. I loved Cactus in Hollywood for many years. Now, the North Hollywood location is closer to home. Last Tuesday, we bought two burritos to-go and my son's burrito had a pink fingernail with glitter in it. I have tried three times to resolve this with Cactus but the staff says they do not know what to do and the manager is not available. It's been over a week and no one has called me back or refunded the cost of food we disposed of. I'm disappointed with their lack of quality and care for a customer. read more

Cactus in Studio City is a Valley staple. In the past, I feel like their food has been very hit or miss, however this last visit I tried something new! FISH TACOS! When I lived in that area of town I was getting their breakfast burritos on the regular. Their tacos are good, not the absolutely the best in town. My favorite thing about coming to cactus is sitting on the patio overlooking the intersection at Moorpark and Tujunga. Back to the food.. I ordered a veggie taco, grilled shrimp taco, and fried fish taco not really having high expectations. Carne asada is usually where it's at, but I'm laying off the carne these days. The veg taco was a total bust. Could definitely skip that one next time. You have to soak that thing in salsa for it to have any flavor. But what did I expect? It was beans, rice lettuce, tomato and avocado. The shrimp taco was bomb!! Perfectly cooked, slightly crisp tortilla and the sauce on top was on point. They were great, plenty of cheese, and the burritos were substantial, the size you would expect a normal with-meat burrito to be.
