Patio

I can't tell you how many times I've passed this little spot on the corner driving around Studio City. Finally made my stop today and was surprised at how big their menu is. Prices are just a little higher than I expected, but it's a cool little place with outdoor seating right on the corner. I'm usually driving by in the morning, so I don't know what the lunch or dinner crowd is like, but I was the only one out there this morning. The girl at the window was super friendly and helpful. I ended up going with the taquito combo platter. It comes with three taquitos, rice, and beans. I went with chicken for the filling. When she handed me the box, I opened it up and honestly said, "Wow." The presentation totally caught me off guard in a good way. The taquitos were big, golden and crisp, loaded with chicken inside and stacked up over a bed of shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, diced tomatoes, and a generous sprinkle of cotija cheese over the top. They didn't hold back on toppings. The rice was fluffy and soft with good flavor, and the beans were thick and creamy with melted cheese on top. As for the patio, it's got a chill vibe. You're outside under a covered awning with green-painted picnic benches and a slate-style tile floor with a good amount of space and a nice view of the street. It's not fancy, but it's got that old-school local taqueria feel to it. Overall, it was a good experience. Yeah, it was a little pricey, I think if it were about $4 less, it would've made the whole thing feel a little more worth it. But I'm still glad I finally stopped by.9

Burrito

Simple good burrito! Ambiance is nice to hangout outside. Customer service could've been nicer but I think they were busy.

This is the one and only taqueria that I keep coming back to. They make a great burrito. Sorry...strike that...they USED to make a great burrito. Recently went back for my Cactus dosage and regular order -- carne asada with everything --$17 mind you. It just wasn't the same. It was all bean, little avocado, and practically NO MEAT. No CARNE ASADA -- no flavor -- what the hell happened to this place! You guys are better than this!! Not sure I'll be coming again until things improve. Adios!

Needed food in a pinch and saw this place on the corner. Ordered 2 burritos #1 with carne asada and #5 with chicken and a medium drink for $32.86. My chicken had some fat so it was OK but the rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole was good. My hubby liked his carne asada with no complaints. Outdoor seating area was convenient and we got to eat before heading out of the valley.

Hair she found in the burrito

Grabbed dinner last night. My kids bean and cheese burrito was drenched in oil and there was a hair in her burrito. The fajitas has 1 oz of chicken in it (yes I weighed it) and 5 oz of bell peppers (also drenched in oil). They also gave me a flour burrito tortilla for fajitas. Pretty sure I could have just ordered a burrito. Definitely not happy with the experience. .

Tacos Al pastor

Tough not to stop by cactus for a few tacos or a burrito if hungry when passing by. Hadn't been this location for a while and decided to give it a go with 3 Al pastor tacos. The flavors of Al pastor just don't compare to many other flavors. Glad to see no quality variance from other locations - This location is as good as vine or Beverly spots. Fast service. Good place to take a moment to indulge & watch the busy corner.

Hair on a peace of beef.

Hair on a peace of beef. Also was slightly undercooked at certain parts. Wouldn't recommend at end of day but it's great in the middle of the day(got it at night time).

Really!! French fries as my potato. Raw chopped onions is gross waste of $16 dollars will not be coming back.

Fries as potatoes is weird waste of $30 for 2 horrible burritos I won't be coming back it wasn't good either

Burrito with mostly lettuce inside

I've eaten at this place regularly in the past, but it seems to be under new management now. Prices have gone up, and the quality has gone down. We ordered two burritos that were almost entirely filled with lettuce. They never had lettuce in them before, let alone so much of it, and it made them totally flavorless. There was barely any meat or substance to them. For two people, the bill came to $50, which is hard to justify given how little food we actually got. It was really disappointing, and I won't be coming back. I'd strongly recommend checking out other options.

Josue R.

Heavy price on food when the quality is mid and they don't even have a restroom you can use. They just got a nice little sitting area I'll give them that

Where to park wasn't clear to us but it didn't take long to find free street parking a short walk away on Weddington. Ordering at this location is through a walk up window. However today it was fully occupied by a team member handling pick-up orders. There was another team member who seemed to be taking orders as customers walked up, but was also helping with pick ups. This was a bit confusing so we just waited until someone approached us which didn't take long. The husband chose the Bruxie SmashBurger (+ egg), opting to make it a combo with Waffle Fries and soda. I had the Chicken & Waffles. It all came out pretty quickly. The husband said his SmashBurger was fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. He loved the waffle fries. My chicken tenders were nicely fried, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The waffle was light and crisp. It all came together with the whipped butter and pure maple syrup -- so good! Service was great. Team members checked on us and refilled drinks. I do appreciate that they have packs of moist towelettes easily available for customers.

Thankfully we finally caved in because we've been sleeping on this place for years! It's located off of Lankershim Blvd & Academy Way, basically next to the Laemmle Noho 7 and the Saban Media Center. Bruxie was kind of hard to gauge on how to order - there's a walk-up window for ordering and pick-up orders, but employees can also walk right up to you and place your order for you. You can also order online ahead, so yeah slightly confusing but as long as you put your order in you're golden. They have four big tables outside along with counter seating on the sidewalk. If it gets too hot or cold, they also have seating inside an old train car that is purely counters only. We sat inside the train car, but the only caveat is that people are constantly going in/out and they sometimes leave the door open. They also have a water station inside the train car if you want to cool off. My wife and I both ordered the Kickin' "Nashville" Hot Chicken Sandwich and we shared the Loaded Waffle-Cut Fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time - if you're dining there, the employees bring out your food wherever you are and provide plastic utensils along with sauces. The hot chicken sandos live up to their namesake, packing quite a kick! The loaded waffle fries hit the spot. If you're in NoHo looking for some good chicken & waffles, Bruxie will satisfy! We can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! They're open late too if you have some late night cravings (they close at midnight Thurs, Fri & Sat). There's street parking or you can park at the garage of the Saban Media Center.

We've been on the lookout for a new contender for a while and think we found one! We went up to the front and let them know the name we placed the order under and off we went. My wife and I opted to try their Bacon & Sausage Burrito and Veggie Burrito. Both had a hefty weight to them and were delicious. What added to the deliciousness was their house-made salsa and crema. If you love heat, their salsa is on point! Add the crema and you've been transported to another world. Staff was super nice and had our order ready when promised. Since this is in the same parking lot as Circus Liquor, we stopped in to grab some snacks and drinks for later too. Great all around!

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!
