Solid find while in town for a few nights. We were staying in downtown Santa Monica and I couldn't find an open dispensary on Yelp in the vicinity so I shipped it down the road to this spot in Venice. The only thing that was kinda nuts was the fully cocked security guard checking IDs.. that caught me off guard but I get it.. LA is super sketch it places not that we went there but. I've been happily and exclusively coming here for years since this business opened. I've always loved the people, the product, and the service but no more. I purchased a $50 cartridge that malfunctioned so I brought it back. They had a digital record of my purchase in their system but said they could only accept the return with the box and receipt. I later returned with both the box and receipt and was told they again would not accept my return because this time I did not bring my personal pen base with me to prove it was not working. Wtf? I'll take the broken cartridge issue straight to the manufacturer and my business somewhere that values loyalty and customer service. read more

Ok so first of all, I am not someone who has ever purchased (legally), and I barely partake in cannabis and related activities, so this is my first experience in a store, and really trying to know and understand all that's available. I was a little nervous/intimidated, but it was a really smooth process and good experience. I think a guy named Mikey helped me and he was great. Patiently walked through options for CBD and how to take for pain, etc. Showed me different options for weed, explaining the differences in sativa/indica and making recommendations to support me in my needs. I settled on a few things to help w/ pain & anxiety and yes it felt weird buying, even though it's legal. I was unpleasantly surprised by the 25% tax on weed, but hey, what are you going to do. At the border between Santa Monica and Venice lies this wonderfully little dispensary. I travel plenty but wherever I am in Los Angeles I trek my way to these wonderful people. They are friendly, clean, extremely knowledgeable, genuinely caring, secure and did I say friendly? Prices are good, parking at the back and in front. Ring the doorbell for access and bring your doctor's letter if coming for the first time. Call them for more info. An overly trendy Whole Foods is across the street - which I avoid like the plague. Which killed almost 60% of Europe..... The plague not Whole Foods....oops veered off again. I've been to other dispensaries and always left those places feeling like I left the bathroom after halfheartedly wiping. Kinda dirty and hoping I don't sweat due to my "dirty" little secret..... I have insomnia and sleep is a precious commodity for me and these peeps have made me be a softer less intense person. I suffered insomnia which led to anxiety and other stuff since I could remember. I like OGs and thought I couldn't go wrong with the good old OG Kush. Was I wrong... Eighth Brothers Brand OG Kush was a bag of stems and Larf. Yes trim. It was a bag of shitty trim. Smelled like leaf and was 10 months old when packaged a month ago. I will be back at the shop if needed but will open my bag there. I forgot. I always open my pizza box to check. I just thought I would get quality. %50 success %100 bummer on the Shitty Eight brothers. The Slogan on the bag is... Eight Brothers brings you the best quality cannabis products at fair prices. Then why did I I get ripped off with a shitty bag of trim. That's why the black market thrives. I was in a pinch to even go to a shop... I am a Cali resident and that was my second visit to a shop and first purchase. I didn't want to go to a shop but am visiting and just finished my pound I bought up North yesterday. I will never buy any Eight Brothers products and I don't think anyone should. It was that bad. The shop sold it to me.... so can't give them that good of a rating. It doesn't have EVERYTHING, but it also doesn't overwhelm you with so many choices that you feel indecisive. Everything that is here is amazing. They carry only products that have been lab tested. They can give you the numbers on every strain and edible. They carry some of the best edibles I've ever had. Ever. The bud-tenders are so damn nice! They have a sense of humor, and they will explain anything you need. They know my favorite products and suggest new things if they are out of the item for which I was looking. The prices are competitive. They don't have a lot of promotions, but when you find consistently great service, why go anywhere else? It's a hidden gem.
