(10/22/25 ) There's nothing worse than a stale/harsh pre-roll... I go in a couple times a week. I always buy a pack of the same pre-rolls. Usually I check the date that the pre-rolls were packed. I didn't check on this visit until I got checked into my car. The pre-roll packs were over 10 months old, so I came back in minutes later, products unopened. I just asked to perhaps exchange for packs that were newer/fresher. They would not accommodate with a dismissive undertone. I understand their policies, but they had the opportunity to make it right in some way. The real question is why they are selling pre-rolls that are over 10 months old?? Not willing to accommodate a local customer's burden of having a pack of stale pre-rolls is tough to deal with. These products were over $80 ...sheesh. Note: They said these were "on sale" (bc of the date) but there were the same price as packs that were packaged in June & July. Stay curious... read more

She was rude and disrespectful. I also felt like she did not want to help me for no reason. I like kief rolled joints like jeeters but was asking her questions because I want bigger joints than that. My man recognized the guy who walked in and she was so rude to him as well because we were having a conversation. If this shop is about community I would not go there. I will never go back. Hospitality is important. They just opened no need to be rude. No need to be disrespected we work in the same city people recognize n respect each other. I visited this dispensary in Venice, CA, on Christmas Day (12/25) while I was in the area. Usually, I go to "Sweet Flower" in Westwood, but I found this place on Google and decided to check it out. Luis provided excellent customer service! I told him I was looking for a pre-rolled Sativa that was very light and not too strong, and he helped guide me through their options. Prices are good, and I really appreciated their being open on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the joint I bought--it left a lingering aftertaste that wasn't for me. This might just come down to personal preference, though, and isn't necessarily a reflection of their overall quality. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by for the great service and reasonable prices! read more

Horrible. Went in for the first time because their menu seemed pretty good and prices were okay. I go in, pay $100 for "my order" and get into an Uber home. Half way home I look in my bag and they gave me the total wrong order. Charged me $100 for TWO things. I went back, and the employee lady didn't even apologize-in fact she was extremely rude. I'm in love. His name is Carlton. I only know his name because as I arrived on my bicycle, an older couple yelled inside, "Hey, Carlton" and he responded in kind. I chuckled at the fact that this nice looking mature couple was on a first name basis with the weed guy and said, "I bet you have awesome lives". "We do!" They agreed. Life was good. I went in and asked Carlton about Skymaster and OG Kush. It was an obsession and I'd researched for weeks for didn't feel like traipsing all over LA to find it. I was disappointed when Carlton laughed at me. "You laughed in my face". "I'm sorry. You were very specific and I'm high". Lol. Right then Carlton gained my trust. He gave me a little bud tender spiel about the differences between Northern Cali weed and Southern Cali weed. I let him recommend two strains I knew I was getting anyway because they were closest to what I wanted. It was amazing. I pondered going back to thank him in person but I have physical limitations. Today was my first time at the Rose Collective which I was looking forward to based on its rating and reviews. I've been to several dispensaries in the past and have been pleased to find a certain amount of camaraderie and kind consideration among the sales staffs which I've enjoyed. That ethic has always appealed to the old hippie in me. I was expecting nothing less from an independent business in the center of the land of fruits and nuts, Venice, CA. I was shocked at how wrong I was. Upon presenting myself to the receptionist I said, "This is my first time here!" thinking I would receive a congenial welcome and, perhaps, have to fill out a new member form or the like. Instead it was, "Driver's license," and an attitude that I havn't felt since I went to pay an overdue parking ticket at City Hall. That was followed by, "Get in line" and a sign that read "No Cell Phones!". Standing in the long queue (there were no seats, no reception area) there was none of the usual bonding that one finds in the community of those of us who indulge in what was until recently illegal. Granted it was a Sunday afternoon, but the fifteen minute wait was mainly because, at first, there was only one salesperson for this rather large store. When another arrived and waved me over, I smiled (I can be charming when I want to!) and approached her window. Again I said, "This is my first time here!" expecting, maybe, a smile in return or a gracious introduction, but instead I was met with a blank, unimpressed "can we get on with it" kind of look. Well, I came prepared with my vax card (they didn't ask for it) and a photo of some gel caps I'd bought before and really liked. I told the young woman, "I bought these at a different dispensary, so I realize you probably don't carry the same brand here, but do you have something similar?". Then I showed her my photo (below). As you can see, it very clearly displays what the product contains. I figured it must be an item that can't be foreign to a business that really only carries a limited number of choices (it's not exactly Bed, Bath & Beyond). She glanced quickly at the image, looked up, and said curtly (and I quote), "I don't know what that is". I was understandably flummoxed, but polite. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I read out loud from the label exactly what it was (soft gels of 10MG CBD + 10MG THC), then asked if it was at all possible they could have something similar. She said, "No", then took me over to a display case that had dozens of somethings similar. She showed me capsules of a powdered version not unlike the blend I had, and that was it. Seeing the three shelves of various capsules, gels and gummies before me, like Elizabeth Warren, nevertheless I persisted. I gently implored her to consider that there might be other soft gels not exactly of the same formula, but close. Looking impatient, she reluctantly reached down and, without even having to really search, indeed pulled out what I was looking for albeit in a 5MG + 5MG dosage of only thirty gels (the one I'd bought before contained fifty). Alas, when I asked her how much it would be, she quoted me a price of $100 plus tax. Given that I'd paid half that for my last batch, that this whole interaction had taken less than five minutes and she'd already stressed me out, I was loathe to put her through any more paces (I'd wanted to buy some hybrid buds, too), I said, "Thank you, but that's not what I'm looking for", and walked out. In reality, what I wasn't looking for was a tense atmosphere and a sour attitude. Now I won't go there again or recommend anyone else visit Rose Collective. There are plenty of other choices of stores in the area with personnel that will actually welcome my patronage, and at a more reasonable price. read more

Poor selection of products in my opinion. Pretty similar selection to a smoke shop which is fine but not what you expect from a legit dispensary. Worst part of my experience was I was sold a cartridge that was faulty. Went back the next day and they would not exchange it for one that wasn't broken because i didn't have my receipt. I can completely understand not offering a refund for selling a broken product, BUT, I simply wanted to exchange it for one that worked. Pretty wild that in the 21st century there can still be policies that refuse to utilize technology.
