This Hannaford store was our go-to place for our local grocery shopping. For years it had been a…read moreclean well stocked store on every visit. That all changed during and after the pandemic. It is like they never recovered. The shelves are often empty, especially of sale items. Not just sometimes, almost every day. Recently we stopped four days in one week for a meat sale item and when they had none the management had one excuse after another. It has become so frustrating to shop and not find close to half of the items we're looking for forcing us to shop at another store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pharmacy staff is exceptional and is the reason we still buy all of our prescriptions at this store. Basically we now buy almost all of our food at the local PRICE CHOPPER MARKET 32 that has everything we need on every visit at lower prices.

During the recent floods of 2023 , this group did a lot to fill the gaps where State Government and Federal Agencies allowed the town to fall through the cracks in the early days. They succeeded in working with the local government, vendors and locals to bring needed relief and supplies to the town and area. If anything says Vermont Strong this place represents it! The food is top notch! My favorite being the Roast beef Sandwich with fresh quality meats, local vegetables and local buns. There's a little intramural competition between local stores and although I've tried many on the road...this is my favorite. Second to that is the boneless wings...great and reasonable. The have some essential items and have bolstered the old bar area with products made by locals. Need a memento or quick gift, Jam, Maple Syrup, Local Wine... this may be your stop. When jack got his baked goods and looked around to find bob (the tortoise) he went into a panic and started taking his trousers off and shouting at the top of his lungs about contemporary politics. The manager came and helped really quickly and lucky we found bob pretty quickly before the local sheriff got involved.

Outside blends in with the town but don't judge this grocer with its cover. They have little of everything and comparable to and at higher quality than WFM. This isn't fancy but authentic goodness! Buffalo Mountain Food-coop has a cafe upstairs but wasn't open due to Covid when we visited. BMFC was busy and had a steady flow of locals and peeps traveling through. Staff are friendly and helpful!! This is one of the few places that wasn't understaffed in VT this season. Prices are a little higher as it's customary in VT. Many local producers' goods seem to be in line with other coop prices but the packaged were slightly higher likely due to logistics and volume. Parking is street and free. Hardwick wasn't busy but parking was tight. If you visit the NE Kingdom, Buffalo Mountain Food Coop is a very good place to find sundries and nourishment. Produce was fresher and was better stocked than Willey's. Enjoy!

RIP prepared beverages. Abnormally generous employee benefits seem ripe for cost cutting, as these expenses are directly passed on to shoppers. There are plenty of folks in our community who are completely priced out of shopping here. I have slowly begun to take my business elsewhere.

Willey's also has kitchenware, outdoor clothes / gear, grocery, deli, wine & beer and little bit of everything else too like toys, postcards and souvenirs. They are the largest country store I've seen in VT and Willey's takes up a big chunk of downtown Greensboro. In fact, I only saw one other shop here....so downtown Greensboro is mostly Willey's. They seem to take up 2 very old (100+ years) houses. If you are visiting rural NE K for other destinations, Willey's is a likely stop for local brews, cheeses, gears or sustenance. Parking is free. Real general stores don't seem to exist outside of few states now. Though Willey's is an institution, they are very different from many I've been in VT. Do hope Willey's keeps the charm of rural VT country stores and people continue to visit and keep them in business!

I am not stealing from your store, in fact I probably spend anywhere from $800-$1,000/month at your store. To be charged at in front of other customers and accused of not ringing in products that are clearly on my receipt is not only embarrassing but just degrading. I don't appreciate it and especially in front of my daughter who is Autistic and nonverbal. I know this review will fall on deaf ears but if I didn't have to go to Walmart in Berlin due to it being one of the only options in the area, I would not be a customer.

I am a home delivery person and very rarely visit the store. Get used to a highly repetitive diet. Bakery is overly sweet. Food overall is a little pricier. No real sales as with the high-low supermarkets. Most of the fresh fruit is inedible. Just try ripening a peach and compare it to the succulent beauties at Shaw's! Despite my highly repetitive diet, they are chronically out of stock on one thing or another. They use an unnamed 3rd party delivery service, and they are literally (nickel and) diming me to death with all the single foods getting its own bag! This added 10 cents each to my cereal and to my frozen pops for getting their own bags. The Vermont bag fee is about reducing bags by charging 10 cents to DISCOURAGE USE OF BAGS ON SINGLE ITEMS. The delivery service either does not know this or does not care.
