Famous for their steak and cheese subs since 1974. I ordered a steak bomb sub with extra cheese, salt and pepper. The "bomb" includes onions, peppers and salami. I was blown away by how deliciously dangerous the steak bomb sub is. Absolutely filled with meat and big slices of green pepper. Perfect first experience. I came here a week later to try it again, and while it was still very good, the small seemed to have bites with more bread than meat. the large was better and stuffed for $1 more. large steak bomb sub 10/10 small steak bomb sub 7/10 It's a very old-school sub shop, and I'm happy they're still around. We've lost too many old-school, no frills spots with great food, to aesthetic places with mid food. I would prefer a place with great food that isn't the prettiest, over the heavily designed newer spots that have food that makes you wish you came to a place like Super Sub instead. Always very friendly staff, great old school subs, no wonder they won best of 2026, best sandwich. And many awards years prior! The owner is especially hospitable and I feel appreciated every time I come here. I ordered a French Connection and a Midtown. Both were really good. Of course, I appreciated the Vienna Beef dogs and the poppy seed buns. I wanted more seagull special sauce on the Midtown but the French Connection was really excellent. I ended up sitting outside to enjoy my meal. I enjoyed watching the steady stream of customers. I can tell that this is a spot that the community loves and supports and I can see why. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area to try the smashburgers and one of the other hot dog variations. By the time we got inside, the line was down the street/around the corner! There are no sandwich sizes. It's pretty much a size "super beef" on an onion roll with the classic sauce, mayo & cheese. I watched the staff grab softball-sized handfuls of beef, pile it onto the buns and top it with sauce using a ladle. It was quite the operation! You can tell the fresh, rosy-pink, soft & flavorful beef is very high quality BUT the sandwich overall was not as impressive as I expected it to be in relation to the hype. I've had others where I was blown away by the taste/flavor after the first bite which is what I expected here, but it did not happen! Don't get me wrong, it was still a good/decent legitimate North Shore roast beef sandwich, but certainly NOT worth waiting in line for (in my opinion). You can get just as good of a sandwich (if not better) from other roast beef establishments without the lines/wait!

The Family Pack special (2 pizzas) was pretty good and at an affordable price. The taste of it was very good too and the extra cheese pizza really was extra cheese. My guests enjoyed it. The delivery person was nice and courteous, but late. I called over an hour in advance (at 4:28 pm), see the pics and my last call to them was at 6:01 and I wasn't happy. They got here almost at 6:15 p.m., which made me look bad in front of my colleagues. That's 1 hour and 45 minutes late!! If it were up to the food alone, I'd order again, but the fact that they said the order would get here on time and were eager to sell yet they didn't deliver is something that I'm not sure I can forget. Maybe I'll give them a try again, although I really doubt it. Timeliness is very important, especially when you plan in advance and are told it would definitely get there on time (3 times). read more

I can't say they're the best pizza place around, but definitely very good. I gave them 4 stars mainly because I love their Lasagna and Chicken Parm with ziti. I think it's the sauce that makes it. I find the sauce at most pizza joints around here to be rather bland and simple tasting. I like the garlic bread also. I'd say if you don't like Little Italy or Luigi's sweet sauce, this is your best bet. read more
