Pretty great experience! On the pricey side but you get a lot for your money honestly. My favorite part of the tour was the camel ride, tequila tasting, and buffet style authentic food! The tour guides were very informative. They do a great job of capturing the moments; however, the pictures are really expensive. One picture printed was $39. I think our group pictures and videos were $200. They have different packages if you want the picture. The tour lasted 4 hours but honestly it doesn't feel like it. It went by fast and we had a great time. Everyone is so friendly!

A view from the boat.

We had a blast on the sunset cruise. It's really a party cruise. The boat was pretty full, but everyone was having a good time. They provided a drink upon boarding, probably the only thing I didn't like LOL. But they had an open bar up top, the wait staff was great. Poncho Guacamole is there to pour tequila in your mouth (extra charge). He was a hoot. They served fajitas cooked on the boat. Surprisingly good. The views and sunset were great! Lots of fun. We also took the same boat for the snorkeling tour. We saw a turtle on our way out. It was a pretty choppy ride/windy. We went about 40 minutes out. The snorkeling was a little murky and not lots of fish, but we had fun. Not the boats fault, just a windy day. We also had tacos cooked fresh on board and again the food was good. Open bar (after snorkeling). You had a drink limit prior to snorkeling. Party music and dancing was on the upper deck. Upper was full sun and felt nice after the cool plunge! I recommend this company if looking for a fun boat. Lots of fun. Great staff.

Cabo escapes boat getting extremely close to ours.

Do not book with Cabo Escapes if you are at all concerned with your safety! We were peacefully on another tour watching whales yesterday when this 'captain' decided it would be fun to come up on our much smaller boat and be literally inches away from hitting us. One wrong wave could have turned this experience into a nightmare. This photo does not show just how insanely close he got to us all the while thinking he was being funny. Not sure what his intention was but trying to terrify tourists was one he accomplished!

Other than the boarding process being so disorganized and crammed. I had a great time. The Sunset cruise included unlimited drinks and a serving of tacos/fajitas. We got our tickets through a time share presentation we participated in... We had to be at the dock by 430 for the cruise at 5pm. Due to covid, Masks were enforced. The dj entertainer was awesome and the music was really good. The top floor had the best view of the arc. The cruise lasted about 2 hours. At night, It gets cold on the water, so make sure you bring a jacket or coat to keep warm. The marina is massive. So, have your Uber or cab drive drop you off near the circle in front of Breathless hotel so you can be closer to the dock. There was also a photographer on board taking pictures. I took off a star. Because We forgot our coupon in our room but had a picture of the receipt. So, we were charged $80 until we brought back the original sales receipt the next day. Next time, I'll do more of a Catamaran cruise. If you want a basic cruise , to drink and enjoy the water, this is the cruise for you.

Definitely a booze cruise. I didn't go upstairs because it was too crowded. The upstairs had the bar and the downstairs had the food. Open bar and a fajitas buffet. I liked how they handed out drinks to people downstairs so they didn't need to go upstairs. The frozen margaritas were good. The fajitas were mediocre. Good music. It got really cold, so if you're going, I recommend bringing a warm jacket. One hour in and I was already over it because it was cold and there's only so much ocean you can see. I wouldn't go back again, tbh!

Our dinner cruise stopped at the arch

Best tour is dinner cruise . Go with a local and only pay $35 each instead of $100 for just yourself. It's a great event. See whales and dolphins as you float on the ocean

Cabo Escape Dinner cruise sunset

What a fun evening and dinner cruise in Cabo San Lucas! Our experience started with the crew all meeting and greeting us as we boarded. After a short safety briefing, we pulled out of the Cabo Marina and headed out to sea. They took us out to the Cabo Arch to see both the landscape and the marine life as the staff served cocktails, played music and prepared the fajita dinner. We quickly got to experience a pod of whales moving alongside the boat. The fajita dinner was ready and the crew organized the passengers to go through the line to be served. I had both chicken and beef fajitas with all the fixings. Great meal. We continued to cruise towards the sunset before it was time to return to the marina. It was a wonderful evening thanks to the crew of the Cabo Escape!!!

Dancing was the best part! The DJ was fantastic. The food was good too (fajitas), and they had corn tortillas for those of us that were gluten free. The drinks could be better, but most of the people in our group seemed to get plenty of alcohol lol! We only experienced the beginning of sunset while on the boat. Overall, a very fun experience.

I contacted them to cancel multiple times more than 24 hours in advance of our scheduled tour, but they refused to refund our money. Their refund policy states that I should get back 80%, but it's been months and I haven't received anything. They probably would have had to cancel the tour because of the weather anyway. Don't use this company!

We booked a private tour for 6 people on the Roger's website, and we were coming in on a cruise…read moreship with an overnight stop in Cabo. Knowing it's a 20 minute walk from the place where the cruise ship tender drops you off to the place where the tour boats dock, we decided to scout it out the night before. The email from the company instructed us to check in at the Roger's office ("kiosko 2") to ensure we got the correctly-fitting snorkeling gear, so we went looking for the office using a map from the Roger's website and Google maps. We tried inputting the exact address from the email and asking everyone we could find at Puerto Paraiso mall, but when we went to the alleged office location, nothing was there. As a last ditch effort, on the way out of the mall, we paused and asked a random guy at a booth with ads for tours (mind you, nowhere did it say Roger's on it)! This booth was NOT located in the same spot indicated in the map on the Roger's website. However, this guy was somehow able to look up our reservation, and it was legit because he knew my name even though I never said it. He told us to just meet at the dock the next day - not to even worry about going to the "office" (wherever it may be). So that's what I would advise any future travelers to do - just go to Dock D, which isn't hard to find. Ahead of time, I had emailed the company and asked if I could add additional people to our tour and how to pay for them. I received a response indicating we would need to pay 35 per person and they could either send me a PayPal account to put the money in, or we could pay at the dock. When we got on the boat, we inquired about the two extra people and were told to pay 40 dollars. Thankfully I had the email from the company and I disputed this. I was given a roundabout explanation about how the corporate office is somewhere else in Mexico and sometimes there's miscommunication. This felt like an attempt to con more money out of us, but to their credit, they did honor the emailed price. The tour itself was great. We had Jonathan as the guide and Memo as the boat driver. Jonathan had great English skills and was knowledgeable. Our kids got to drive the boat, which had them laughing hysterically. They also dropped a couple members of our party off to snorkel in a designated spot, and the snorkel gear they provided seemed nicer than the cheap stuff we brought. At the end, they offered to drop us off closer to the cruise ship to help us avoid the 20-minute walk, but said it would be a $2 dock fee per person. We did take them up on that, as we had small kids in the party and didn't want them to have to do the walk in the hot sun. They do take pictures during the tour and offer you the chance to buy them at the end. Technically this is mentioned on the website, so it's not surprising. However, I will note that they offered us a discount on the photos at the end if we left them a review - lowering the price from 80 to 50 dollars. So, take that into account when you read other reviews. We declined. I recall when I was researching tour options that some other customers had mentioned their tours being outsourced to other people. There is definitely something odd with the "company." It presents itself on its website like a small business and frequent references are made to "our boat." But when you get to the dock, nothing says "Roger's" - no signage, no uniforms, etc. There's also more than one boat - another party was checking in at the exact same time as we were with the same people. It's almost like they've been bought out by a bigger conglomerate of tour operators. Perhaps this explains the conflicting information in some spots (i.e., the email confirmation saying to check in early at an office but a guy at a random kiosk that doesn't say Roger's on it somehow having our reservation and telling us to just go to the dock). Overall, we enjoyed the tour itself, but the issues with finding the location and being asked to pay different fees than we were quoted were off-putting.

We were picked up by a driver in a passenger van prior and dropped off after which was great since we knew we would have some cocktails on board the boat. He was great! Very nice and took good care of us. When we arrived, the driver escorted us to the Cabo Adventure center where we were met by one of the crew members and then escorted to the boat following check-in. We walked a short distance to the boat, passing by many vendors and shops who of course chased you down for sales, donations, etc. But all is good, just say no thank you and they leave you alone. We arrived to the boat and were introduced to our captain, and team. Mauricio, Manuel and Derick. All three were very nice. They catered to whatever we requested from drinks, lunch and snorkeling time. When we arrived, they shared we had a photographer taking pictures throughout the day. I was excited as I am usually the one always taking photos so it would be nice to have a photographer taking pictures of our group instead of me. And, to have professional photos would be great! I only snapped a couple of pictures as we boarded because it looked like he was taking a lot of photos of us in front of the arches, hanging on the boat, etc. throughout the afternoon. I also thought the photos were included. They are not. The boat ride was great. Drinks were great. They made cocktails for us. Snorkeling was nice. Views were beautiful. They answered our questions of the area. We have a delicious light lunch of chips and guac, pasta salad, chicken salad and fruit. The staff couldn't be nicer. The photographer is nice. When we arrived back at the center, we were directed to the "photography" area where we quickly learned our photos would be $200! I calmly said let me look at the photos because if they are really that good, I'll pay for great photos. Sadly, they were all just awful! Only 1 decent photo out of 50 or so photos and even that photo needed major editing. Shadows, weird light. We had 2 different group shots. The photos in front of the arches, the top of the arches were cut off! Who cuts off the arches? Not one good picture in front of the arches. They do NOT have professional photographers my friends. Take your own photos. Don't let them convince you otherwise. I still purchased 3 photos as I thought I could use apps to improve them and wanted a memory of our day. $100 for 3 photos. Such a disappointment. I want to give this company 3 stars because of the photo situation but the rest of the experience was great and the photo situation is obviously a personal preference. If I had any photos other than 2, I would share them, TAKE YOUR OWN PHOTOS. Do not let them talk you into their photographer or you will be disappointed and out a lot of money.

There are lockers as you're not allowed to keep jewelry, watches, earrings and such on while in with the dolphins; NO sunscreen either, but call and ask about reef safe sunscreen when you book if it's ok: I believe the policy is absolutely none. We don't want to unwittingly harm the dolphins when hugging ! I suggest you book direct with them as opposed to through your hotel or other agencies. While waiting to be escorted to the pool there's some chairs and tables in the shade near the lockers, after you check in. However, in general, she didn't cut short our time and they did speed a long to various areas whenever we saw a spout of water blow up. And, in general, had a great time seeing e humpback whales- we saw one full breach too. I think we may have seen about 20 in January 2026. I heard Cabo is the best place to see the humpback whales and from December through March. I would reccomend the blow up boats as you can get much closer. We were in a small boat with about 8 people but I saw videos of people in the blow up boats that could actually touch the whales if they wanted to. Would have liked this better I think. Also, we forgot our water bottle in the boat afterwards and the company was very customer service oriented in helping us restrict the water bottle. We were repeat customers after an initial positive experience in May 2022 while now in December 2025 enduring random overcharges on unitemized receipts! A total of 4 of us booked a reservation through Amstar at Cactus Tours for the side by side UTVs (2 vehicles of 2 drivers and 2 passengers). Amount paid in full to Amstar a month in advance excluding the $25USD cash entry fee per person which we paid day-of. Also on day-of, we were offered upgrade options. The only option we proceeded with was to upgrade each vehicle 1 horsepower level up which was listed as $85 USD per vehicle for a total of $170 USD.  This was also explained to us that upgrading to that vehicle power meant insurance was included so no need for additional insurance purchase or security hold on the card. We declined ALL other upgrade options.  No private tour, no higher vehicle power upgrade beyond the 1 level up, NOTHING else. We provided a credit card and the staff member took the card for the transaction.  Again, the staff member insisted on upgrading to a private tour but we declined (which we later realized was because they didn't have any other parties booked at our time so it inevitably became a private tour anyway, they just hoped to get more $$ for it). He ran the card and handed us the receipt while rushing to direct us away to the locker area. Later upon arrival back to our hotels, we finally had a moment to review the receipt for the upgrade charges and saw it was actually charged $7,200 MXN (about $400 USD) with no itemization.  This isn't inclusive of any transaction or currency conversion fees, that is the amount directly on the receipt. This is DRASTICALLY way more than the upgrades we agreed to with no explanation or breakdown. Despite saying otherwise in other review replies, their website is not transparent in charges as the "upgrade" sheets they have in the lobby show charges differently than the website displays. The charge in MXN should have been roughly $3,060. I was overcharged $4,140 MXN, more than double what the true upgrade charge should have been alone. I went back and forth for days with Cactus Tours via calls and emails until after a week they finally stopped answering me completely. I'm in the process of filing a fraudulent chargeback with my credit card company since Cactus Tours chose to ignore my attempts for an amicable refund of the difference. Be VERY aware of all charges and do NOT let them rush you day-of at check-in without doublechecking everything if you still choose to do any activity at Cactus Tours. The tour guides will now also insist it is customary to tip $50 per vehicle at the end of the tour. This tip pressure did not exist in 2022. An additional $50 tip on top of the $25 per person entrance fee, any upgrade charges, plus initial reservation fees is wild.

He was clearly passionate about Cabo San Lucas, about the history, the restaurants he introduced us to, and the food. There were 11 of us total on the tour, which was a good number. The tour lasted almost three hours total: 2-2.5 hours of the food tour and a little over 30 minutes of the tequila tasting. We made about 6 (7?) total stops, all of which were close to one another so there is walking but honestly not a lot of walking. Still: wear comfortable shoes, as there is some standing. We ate lots of different types of tacos, chilaquiles, burritos, ceviche, ice cream and churros. Come hungry!
