This was our second whale watching tour we've taken with Cabo Sailing. If I could give a rating above five stars, I would. Instructions and communication prior to the excursion were clear. They were promptly on time. We were spoiled every minute of the three hour trip. Our hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. We will do this again, and only with Cabo Sailing.

Everything about Cabo Sailing is convenient and fun. The pricing is fair, the crew was extremely friendly, and we felt very safe on the cruise. We booked a 42' private yacht sail for four of us. The online booking process had a discount code hiccup, so I had to call to reserve. The agent on the phone was very helpful and within seconds I had confirmation emails in my inbox. The crew met us at the dock gate and made the entire night super easy. They rolled out a lily pad so we could swim for a bit, served cold drinks for 3 hours, and put out a delicious spread of snacks. The boat was very comfortable and the views were outstanding. I can't wait to go back and cruise with these guys again. It was a highlight of the trip.

Daniel our super driver picked us up in San Jose; such a courteous and a great conversationalist. Our crew Captain David and Osvaldo were super; spoke good English and the drinks and antojitos were excellent. This is the fourth time we used Cabo Sailing and they never disappoint!! Thank you'

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! What a fun time! My husband booked a 4 hour private yacht for the 6 of us and it was definitely the highlight of our trip! Our captain (I think his name was Alejandro?) and first mate were wonderful! All we could possibly drink, beers, margaritas etc...They took us snorkeling over at a beautiful bay, then fed us a fantastic spread of food from sushi, to a huge charcuterie board of many yummy options, including fruits... then they took us over by the arch's where we watched the sunset and took lots of pictures! Was a fantastic time!! Highly recommend! Worth the cost!

We booked a 42' for 3 hours through Viator. The service was great from our clean cut and well dressed crew was perfect! There were no hidden fees and everything was very professional. We got to watch whales about 30-40 yards off the boat on our way to Chileno Bay (Bahía Chileno). Chileno Bay is along the Tourist Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo about 40 minutes or so from the marina in Cabo. We had calm waters, girls did a little snorkeling, and overall some great family-friendly vibes. We did a little swimming in Chileno and laid out on the Lilly pad for 30-45 mins. The crew also took us out to lands end and we were able to snatch some great pics of the famous arch. My only complaint is it our deal was to be 3 hours and we got back about 15-20 mins early. I asked the crew if we were only ones going that day on our 42' yacht and they said yes so not sure what the rush to get back was. Oh well... overall would recommend! TIP: check pricing at your hotel/resort you are staying at. It would have been about 15-20% less for us had we booked directly through our resort versus viator.

When in Cabo you must take a sailing adventure and Cabo Sailing is the best ! We went with 2 other families and had the best time. The bar was open the minute we sailed and we headed to see the seals and snorkel. What fun! After that we were served a delicious lunch ! We headed to the open water and saw whales . It was such a fun day and our crew was just the best . We will be back!!!

I wish I could have given this experience five stars but after receiving wrong directions, a wilder boat ride than we were expecting and some inappropriate comments, I had to deduct a few stars. Directions: The email directions to the boat dock we received assumed we were coming from a resort in Cabo San Lucas. Since we were staying in San Jose Del Cabo, our transportation dropped us off near the restaurant mentioned in the email but the directions were oriented for the opposite direction. We ended up walking all the way around the dock, in the wrong direction and were aggressively solicited at every single establishment we passed. The wild boat ride: Due to the choppy water, on several occasions the boat tipped onto what seemed to be a 90 degree angle. At one point, one of the people in our party almost slid off the boat! Some passengers mentioned that the water was unusually choppy but this was ridiculously unsafe and the ride should have been cancelled. Inappropriate comment: Because there was limited space on the boat, my husband and I were separated for about 85% of the ride, which was unfortunate since we had hoped to experience it together. I ended up sitting at the back of the boat with a few other passengers, the captain and other people working on the boat. At one point while I was toward the back of the boat, one of the people working on the boat told me that another worker on the boat wanted a massage - as if I was suppose to give him one. I stared in silence and ignored the workers for the rest of the trip. This comment was absolutely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable on the boat for the rest of the ride. I did get some good pictures on the boat and of the scenery when I was still with my husband, so that was worth a few stars. But I won't be taking any rides with this company in the future.

    The beach

Went to Cabo with the family for a much needed and well-deserved vacation. One of the things we definitely wanted to do was take a boat ride out to the "Arch" and "Lovers/Divorce" beach -- we had heard so much about them. After going through many reviews and getting pressured from other companies in Cabo (everyone has a deal "just for you"), I decided to go with Cabo Sailing. I liked the presentation of what they had to offer. (The fact that they were offering a discount didn't hurt either!) I'm so glad we did! Booking the trip was quick and super easy. I got an email after paying, telling us where to meet the crew. They met us on time and were very friendly. It was my family of 3 and a couple on their honeymoon, so it made for a more intimate trip. Our captain was Mario, and his first mate was Joel. They were both awesome! We got brief instructions on what to and not to do, and we were off. We had a wonderful 2-hour sunset cruise where we were taken to the arch, along with the other rock formations and the beaches. Joel kept the drinks and snacks coming with a great sense of humor as we toured the area. Joel also shared his vast knowledge on the area providing the history along with some intersting stories. Coming back, the sunset was beautiful, and Joel took pictures of us with the sun setting behind -- using our camera! No extra/up charge for photos! Can not recommend Cabo Sailing enough. Trust me, picking a cruise provider can be really overwhelming in Cabo. Save yourself some time and frustration and roll with Cabo Sailing!! Note - The cruise we took did not offer time to get off at the beach and explore, but I am willing to bet Cabo Sailing offers it -- just ask! We will be doing it next time for sure.

David, Jesus, and Eduardo were so friendly and so accommodating. They provided a relaxed atmosphere and great food. We even saw a humpback whale close up. Would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Cabo!

This was the absolute highlight of our trip!! We had an amazing 3 hour boat tour, with food and music. The guys are absolute professionals and true gentleman. We highly highly recommend them!! Clemente, Jesus, Ali and JJ...thank you for the best boat day!!

A super adventure for us. The night was perfect. The staff was friendly and the appetizer tray was good. The music was a HUGE bonus. Nice variety and no modern country. A very relaxing trip. The only complaint were the two redneck couples on the boat. One of the women wanted to make sure that everyone knew she knew the word F&*$. Very immature and spoiled. We purposely got as far away from them as we could and we were soooo glad we did.

    Armida S.

Amazing adventure and experience. Highly recommend it. Our Captain Adrian and his mate Jorge made sure we fully enjoyed every moment.

We loved this excursion. I strongly recommend it on your next visit to San Jose Del Cabo or either Cabo San Lucas. This allowed us a romantic evening with other couples to relax, enjoy dinner, and experience the nautical offerings of Cabo more intimately and up close. You will not be disappointed. You will have to arrange this either with your travel agent or Concierge at your hotel/resort to the best manner of transportation to and from the location. The Dolphin Center in Cabo seems to be where all boats/yachts leave from.

I contacted them to cancel multiple times more than 24 hours in advance of our scheduled tour, but they refused to refund our money. Their refund policy states that I should get back 80%, but it's been months and I haven't received anything. They probably would have had to cancel the tour because of the weather anyway. Don't use this company!

Knowing it's a 20 minute walk from the place where the cruise ship tender drops you off to the place where the tour boats dock, we decided to scout it out the night before. The email from the company instructed us to check in at the Roger's office ("kiosko 2") to ensure we got the correctly-fitting snorkeling gear, so we went looking for the office using a map from the Roger's website and Google maps. We tried inputting the exact address from the email and asking everyone we could find at Puerto Paraiso mall, but when we went to the alleged office location, nothing was there. As a last ditch effort, on the way out of the mall, we paused and asked a random guy at a booth with ads for tours (mind you, nowhere did it say Roger's on it)! This booth was NOT located in the same spot indicated in the map on the Roger's website. However, this guy was somehow able to look up our reservation, and it was legit because he knew my name even though I never said it. He told us to just meet at the dock the next day - not to even worry about going to the "office" (wherever it may be). So that's what I would advise any future travelers to do - just go to Dock D, which isn't hard to find. Ahead of time, I had emailed the company and asked if I could add additional people to our tour and how to pay for them. I received a response indicating we would need to pay 35 per person and they could either send me a PayPal account to put the money in, or we could pay at the dock. When we got on the boat, we inquired about the two extra people and were told to pay 40 dollars. Thankfully I had the email from the company and I disputed this. I was given a roundabout explanation about how the corporate office is somewhere else in Mexico and sometimes there's miscommunication. This felt like an attempt to con more money out of us, but to their credit, they did honor the emailed price. The tour itself was great. We had Jonathan as the guide and Memo as the boat driver. Jonathan had great English skills and was knowledgeable. Our kids got to drive the boat, which had them laughing hysterically. They also dropped a couple members of our party off to snorkel in a designated spot, and the snorkel gear they provided seemed nicer than the cheap stuff we brought. At the end, they offered to drop us off closer to the cruise ship to help us avoid the 20-minute walk, but said it would be a $2 dock fee per person. We did take them up on that, as we had small kids in the party and didn't want them to have to do the walk in the hot sun. They do take pictures during the tour and offer you the chance to buy them at the end. Technically this is mentioned on the website, so it's not surprising. However, I will note that they offered us a discount on the photos at the end if we left them a review - lowering the price from 80 to 50 dollars. So, take that into account when you read other reviews. We declined. I recall when I was researching tour options that some other customers had mentioned their tours being outsourced to other people. There is definitely something odd with the "company." It presents itself on its website like a small business and frequent references are made to "our boat." But when you get to the dock, nothing says "Roger's" - no signage, no uniforms, etc. There's also more than one boat - another party was checking in at the exact same time as we were with the same people. It's almost like they've been bought out by a bigger conglomerate of tour operators. Perhaps this explains the conflicting information in some spots (i.e., the email confirmation saying to check in early at an office but a guy at a random kiosk that doesn't say Roger's on it somehow having our reservation and telling us to just go to the dock). Overall, we enjoyed the tour itself, but the issues with finding the location and being asked to pay different fees than we were quoted were off-putting.

We were picked up by a driver in a passenger van prior and dropped off after which was great since we knew we would have some cocktails on board the boat. He was great! Very nice and took good care of us. When we arrived, the driver escorted us to the Cabo Adventure center where we were met by one of the crew members and then escorted to the boat following check-in. We walked a short distance to the boat, passing by many vendors and shops who of course chased you down for sales, donations, etc. But all is good, just say no thank you and they leave you alone. We arrived to the boat and were introduced to our captain, and team. Mauricio, Manuel and Derick. All three were very nice. They catered to whatever we requested from drinks, lunch and snorkeling time. When we arrived, they shared we had a photographer taking pictures throughout the day. I was excited as I am usually the one always taking photos so it would be nice to have a photographer taking pictures of our group instead of me. And, to have professional photos would be great! I only snapped a couple of pictures as we boarded because it looked like he was taking a lot of photos of us in front of the arches, hanging on the boat, etc. throughout the afternoon. I also thought the photos were included. They are not. The boat ride was great. Drinks were great. They made cocktails for us. Snorkeling was nice. Views were beautiful. They answered our questions of the area. We have a delicious light lunch of chips and guac, pasta salad, chicken salad and fruit. The staff couldn't be nicer. The photographer is nice. When we arrived back at the center, we were directed to the "photography" area where we quickly learned our photos would be $200! I calmly said let me look at the photos because if they are really that good, I'll pay for great photos. Sadly, they were all just awful! Only 1 decent photo out of 50 or so photos and even that photo needed major editing. Shadows, weird light. We had 2 different group shots. The photos in front of the arches, the top of the arches were cut off! Who cuts off the arches? Not one good picture in front of the arches. They do NOT have professional photographers my friends. Take your own photos. Don't let them convince you otherwise. I still purchased 3 photos as I thought I could use apps to improve them and wanted a memory of our day. $100 for 3 photos. Such a disappointment. I want to give this company 3 stars because of the photo situation but the rest of the experience was great and the photo situation is obviously a personal preference. If I had any photos other than 2, I would share them, TAKE YOUR OWN PHOTOS. Do not let them talk you into their photographer or you will be disappointed and out a lot of money.

However, in general, she didn't cut short our time and they did speed a long to various areas whenever we saw a spout of water blow up. And, in general, had a great time seeing e humpback whales- we saw one full breach too. I think we may have seen about 20 in January 2026. I heard Cabo is the best place to see the humpback whales and from December through March. I would reccomend the blow up boats as you can get much closer. We were in a small boat with about 8 people but I saw videos of people in the blow up boats that could actually touch the whales if they wanted to. Would have liked this better I think. Also, we forgot our water bottle in the boat afterwards and the company was very customer service oriented in helping us restrict the water bottle. We were repeat customers after an initial positive experience in May 2022 while now in December 2025 enduring random overcharges on unitemized receipts! A total of 4 of us booked a reservation through Amstar at Cactus Tours for the side by side UTVs (2 vehicles of 2 drivers and 2 passengers). Amount paid in full to Amstar a month in advance excluding the $25USD cash entry fee per person which we paid day-of. Also on day-of, we were offered upgrade options. The only option we proceeded with was to upgrade each vehicle 1 horsepower level up which was listed as $85 USD per vehicle for a total of $170 USD.  This was also explained to us that upgrading to that vehicle power meant insurance was included so no need for additional insurance purchase or security hold on the card. We declined ALL other upgrade options.  No private tour, no higher vehicle power upgrade beyond the 1 level up, NOTHING else. We provided a credit card and the staff member took the card for the transaction.  Again, the staff member insisted on upgrading to a private tour but we declined (which we later realized was because they didn't have any other parties booked at our time so it inevitably became a private tour anyway, they just hoped to get more $$ for it). He ran the card and handed us the receipt while rushing to direct us away to the locker area. Later upon arrival back to our hotels, we finally had a moment to review the receipt for the upgrade charges and saw it was actually charged $7,200 MXN (about $400 USD) with no itemization.  This isn't inclusive of any transaction or currency conversion fees, that is the amount directly on the receipt. This is DRASTICALLY way more than the upgrades we agreed to with no explanation or breakdown. Despite saying otherwise in other review replies, their website is not transparent in charges as the "upgrade" sheets they have in the lobby show charges differently than the website displays. The charge in MXN should have been roughly $3,060. I was overcharged $4,140 MXN, more than double what the true upgrade charge should have been alone. I went back and forth for days with Cactus Tours via calls and emails until after a week they finally stopped answering me completely. I'm in the process of filing a fraudulent chargeback with my credit card company since Cactus Tours chose to ignore my attempts for an amicable refund of the difference. Be VERY aware of all charges and do NOT let them rush you day-of at check-in without doublechecking everything if you still choose to do any activity at Cactus Tours. The tour guides will now also insist it is customary to tip $50 per vehicle at the end of the tour. This tip pressure did not exist in 2022. An additional $50 tip on top of the $25 per person entrance fee, any upgrade charges, plus initial reservation fees is wild.

I was so nervous for my little kids. The experience was totally anxiety loaded for any family trying to travel. The ATV's we pretty crappy- seemed there was many broken down because they weren't able to satisfy our reservation. Tried to work with them but they just ignored us. Ended up sitting around for 3 hours then learning they lied to us the whole time- they were just hoping we would get hungry or thirsty and buy food before they sent us off. The chef prepared the most amazing meal we've ever had in Cabo, and the bartender's piña coladas were hands-down the best. The Magic Miguels put on an incredible show--so much more than just a quick performance. They're truly talented entertainers, and it was a highlight of the trip! Dani was a fantastic pole dance instructor, and the boat crew made the entire experience so much fun. I felt like we were on the best and liveliest boat on the water compared to the others. To top it off, we got to see playful whales in the water--an added bonus to an already incredible day! This was by far the best trip ever, and we're so grateful to Cabo Party Fun for making it happen. If you're planning a trip to Cabo, book them! You won't regret it!

They offer many types of bach services, and I ended up booking a sunset yacht cruise. About an hour into the ride, the whales started playing and singing, and it was such a beautiful surprise for the group! Despite a few of us being hungover and seasick, Diego and his crew were so much and knew how to keep the party going! Our driver Bradley was patient with us and kept us safe. Rachel was always just one call/text away if we needed anything. Lastly, Suzanne has been fantastic! Always there to help through all my endless questions. THANK YOU!

What that means is that you must ask strangers to slide over so you can sit. If you are a family of five, it means to sit, you may have some members on the top floor others at random tables. They oversell the ship especially around whale watching season. Avoid this tourist trap!!! Do not believe the tour operators at your resorts. The boat is okay and the food smelled good, but you will be standing for two hours or seating cramped with close to 200 strangers with only about 150 seats, half of which are benches with no backs. If the operators weren't so money hungry and full of spiteful greed, the tour might have been nice. Say they sold the ship to the true seated capacity. The horrible captain made an announcement asking people to scoot over. Families with kids or the elderly (the majority of families) were not interested in moving. I wasted too many precious vacations hours on this tour. I wasted too many precious dollars on this waste. If negative stars were ever an option this would be it. This tour is horrible, horrifying, horrific, abominable, awful, terrible, tragic, and all other adjectives that express regret and anger. This tour will lend to the ruination of your vacation day. Avoid it like the plague. Avoid it at all costs. I rarely write such negative reviews but today is that day. I wish I would have trusted my intuition and gotten off. Should have just jumped overboard. Sugar Honey Iced Tea show writ large. Negative stars and damn sure would never ever ever recommend!

This was such a FUN and delicious food tour in Cabo San Lucas!…read more We loved Miguel, our guide. He was entertaining and educational, and kept us moving at a decent pace. He was clearly passionate about Cabo San Lucas, about the history, the restaurants he introduced us to, and the food. There were 11 of us total on the tour, which was a good number. The tour lasted almost three hours total: 2-2.5 hours of the food tour and a little over 30 minutes of the tequila tasting. We made about 6 (7?) total stops, all of which were close to one another so there is walking but honestly not a lot of walking. Still: wear comfortable shoes, as there is some standing. We ate lots of different types of tacos, chilaquiles, burritos, ceviche, ice cream and churros. Come hungry! I loved almost every single thing we ate, and also really loved learning more about the history behind the dishes, how locals eat them vs. how we've Americanized some dishes in the US, and just hanging out in the more local part of town. At the end, there was an optional tequila tasting, which most of us did. I definitely recommend Juan More Tacos for food tours. They have great guides and you get to stop at restaurants that the locals dine in -- not the touristy hot spots. And it's priced well -- such a great value for the amazing experience!
