While walking around the marina, some vendors approached us asking if we wanted to book any tours. We had been eyeing the clear boat tours where you can see the water underneath and the fish swimming by so we decided to give it a try. NOTE: you can negotiate the ticket price if you pay cash. The boat tour leaves from the marina and each boat holds about 10-12 people. The tour was 1 hour long which included getting to the arches, taking pictures near the arches, and getting back to the marina. The boat was small and the water was very choppy. Highly recommend you take Dramamine before your tour. Our tour guide Pedro was great. He was entertaining and informative, pointing out things along the way. You can take pictures with your phone during the tour but in terms of taking pictures with the arches at the front of the boat, they only allow the tour guide to take photos with his professional camera. The pictures came out great but as expected in touristy Mexico, the photo packages were grossly overpriced ($70-100).

Easy to book via What's App. I booked a glass boat tour to The Arch for $30 pp. They don't tell you when you book, that you have to take off your shoes to get inside the boat. I'm a germophobe so I wish I knew ahead of time so I could wear socks. The waves are very choppy so if you get seasick, prepare yourself. The tour was nice and we were able to see some fishes underneath us, I was expecting to see a lot more. The views of The Arch were very nice and there was a lot of boats in the area. They take pictures of you and of course the charge $100 for the photos. I told the guy don't waste his time showing me the photos if they are $100 and he wrote on a paper $97 for all. Bye. Just take your own photos. This was something nice to do once.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our tour of the famous arch in the Sea of Cortez. We bought our tickets from one of the booths along the docks. The price was very reasonable. We paid a little bit extra to ride in the transparent boat, and it was definitely worth it! Our tour guide spoke in both Spanish and English. He was engaging, informative, and funny. I highly recommend this tour. The prices for photos at the end of the tour were reasonable. We were able to take as many pictures of our own during the tour. They took pictures of us on the end of the boat that we could buy afterwards. The boat was not overcrowded. We felt very safe.

Amazing staff and great tour on the clear boat. The guides are fun and knowledgeable. Bring cash to tip as it's easier than trying to use your card. Also the pictures they sell afterwards are pretty pricey. I think they could stand to drop the price and sell more rather than getting a handful of people to pay $$$ for all their pictures.

I had the pleasure of attending a glass bottom boat tour with Amed. He was extremely hospitable, knowledgeable, and fun. I enjoyed viewing all the wildlife like pelicans, sea lions, and tons of fish, including pirañas. If you're in Cabo and are interested, go!

A tour place for ripping off people. They contract outside sellers for selling tours, then deny the reservation then ask that you reserve again on the spot for a different price that is nearly double. I speak Spanish and can understand most of what they say, but kept speaking English to understand how far they would go. Reserved for a clear boat.

This was the one excursion I wanted to do while in the area I'd not done before. Staff were nice. We had to wait a little longer than told which was challenging for my small grandchildren. We had two very professional and kind guides who took their time explaining all to us. The kids loved when the guides threw out tortillas to entice the fish to come close. I'd consider taking a Dramamine as the water can get choppy. My grandson got sick. The 45 minutes went by too quickly. Fantastic photo opportunities!

This was a true clear boat. It was really nifty to see the fish underneath. The guys on the boat bring tortillas to gather the fish and you can see all the fishes right under your feet. The tour lasted about an hour. Everyone was so kind and friendly. The only thing I have to complain about is the cost for photos. For 1 photo (digital or physical), you're paying about $25 USD. For the complete set of digital only you're paying over $110 USD. The photos great but was so unnecessarily expensive. I would go on this tour again but I would try to take photos myself lol

Awesome way to see and learn about the fish!

If you are in Cabo, I highly recommend taking the Clearboat. What an amazing way to experience and see all of the beauty that Cabo has to offer. Our tour guide was nothing short of amazing. We learned about fish, lover's and divorce beach and also got to see Sea lions. This boat excursion is pretty affordable and runs approximately 45 mins or so I believe. A co worker of mine recommended the glass bottom boat but I am so glad we went with this instead. It's a super cool way to experience the water while traveling in a clear boat that enables you to see everything! Fun excursion with a great tour company! FYI, mask and life vests are mandatory but they do allow you to take them off for photos. Photo package was affordable with quality photos taken.

This is one of the shortest, cheapest, and yet maybe best tours offered - unless you want to snorkel (instead of see the same fish without getting wet). These are Mexican fish so they' come to the clear boats to get some tortillas. Like most local tours, the main purpose is to take photos - and on this one you are allowed to take your own, including of yourself and/or whoever you might be with (in addition to the ones the guide/photographer takes and tries to sell at the end of the tour). Unfortunately, when there are many boats out all at the same places at the same times, getting a good shot with nobody/nothing else in the background is not always possible. Overall, though this is a nice quick visit to the arch and glimpse of the Pacific and a chance to see fish and sea lions. The office will insist on masks worn inside, but once outside and on the boats, only the guides taking photos of your face will be covering any part of theirs. On previous trips, we had to put paper booties over our shoes. But now we had to take our shoes off - and only the guides put the booties over their shoes. The boats are not made of glass, just plexiglass (or clear plastic).

I booked this tour before heading to Cabo to see the famous Arch through Viator and it was a breeze. This was the only boat tour I saw that offered a clear boat to see the the whole bottom of the water while on it. There were other options such as glass bottom but the whole boat was not clear. Envatours is located at the marina and was about a 10 mins ride from our resort. It was easy to find. They offered an English or Spanish tour which you can choose. However, we opted for it to be in English but had a group that only speak Spanish. The tour guide was very accommodating and made sure to speak in both languages for everyone to learn the history and sights of Cabo. Every one is required to wear a life jacket the whole time. So be careful booking this tour to get a picture of you and the arch since you have to have your life jacket on at all time. We got to see a lot of wild life with the clear boat and got some great pictures of the arch with no other boats in the way. The water can get a bit rough out there and they give you plenty of time to take all the pics you once. This is a must do when in Cabo.

The cool thing about this company is that all their boats are clear. That means that when your out in the ocean you get to see whats under you like the fishes and the water. This company has good staff that take care of you and make the experience a lot of fun. If you come make sure you book your boat trip with them and you wont regret it. Best of all this experience was only like 25 bucks son you cant beat that. They also take pictures of you while on the boat that look nice. Pros -You can take videos and pics -Staff is nice -You can take alcohol with you Cons -Which it was a longer trip

I contacted them to cancel multiple times more than 24 hours in advance of our scheduled tour, but they refused to refund our money. Their refund policy states that I should get back 80%, but it's been months and I haven't received anything. They probably would have had to cancel the tour because of the weather anyway. Don't use this company!

Knowing it's a 20 minute walk from the place where the cruise ship tender drops you off to the place where the tour boats dock, we decided to scout it out the night before. The email from the company instructed us to check in at the Roger's office ("kiosko 2") to ensure we got the correctly-fitting snorkeling gear, so we went looking for the office using a map from the Roger's website and Google maps. We tried inputting the exact address from the email and asking everyone we could find at Puerto Paraiso mall, but when we went to the alleged office location, nothing was there. As a last ditch effort, on the way out of the mall, we paused and asked a random guy at a booth with ads for tours (mind you, nowhere did it say Roger's on it)! This booth was NOT located in the same spot indicated in the map on the Roger's website. However, this guy was somehow able to look up our reservation, and it was legit because he knew my name even though I never said it. He told us to just meet at the dock the next day - not to even worry about going to the "office" (wherever it may be). So that's what I would advise any future travelers to do - just go to Dock D, which isn't hard to find. Ahead of time, I had emailed the company and asked if I could add additional people to our tour and how to pay for them. I received a response indicating we would need to pay 35 per person and they could either send me a PayPal account to put the money in, or we could pay at the dock. When we got on the boat, we inquired about the two extra people and were told to pay 40 dollars. Thankfully I had the email from the company and I disputed this. I was given a roundabout explanation about how the corporate office is somewhere else in Mexico and sometimes there's miscommunication. This felt like an attempt to con more money out of us, but to their credit, they did honor the emailed price. The tour itself was great. We had Jonathan as the guide and Memo as the boat driver. Jonathan had great English skills and was knowledgeable. Our kids got to drive the boat, which had them laughing hysterically. They also dropped a couple members of our party off to snorkel in a designated spot, and the snorkel gear they provided seemed nicer than the cheap stuff we brought. At the end, they offered to drop us off closer to the cruise ship to help us avoid the 20-minute walk, but said it would be a $2 dock fee per person. We did take them up on that, as we had small kids in the party and didn't want them to have to do the walk in the hot sun. They do take pictures during the tour and offer you the chance to buy them at the end. Technically this is mentioned on the website, so it's not surprising. However, I will note that they offered us a discount on the photos at the end if we left them a review - lowering the price from 80 to 50 dollars. So, take that into account when you read other reviews. We declined. I recall when I was researching tour options that some other customers had mentioned their tours being outsourced to other people. There is definitely something odd with the "company." It presents itself on its website like a small business and frequent references are made to "our boat." But when you get to the dock, nothing says "Roger's" - no signage, no uniforms, etc. There's also more than one boat - another party was checking in at the exact same time as we were with the same people. It's almost like they've been bought out by a bigger conglomerate of tour operators. Perhaps this explains the conflicting information in some spots (i.e., the email confirmation saying to check in early at an office but a guy at a random kiosk that doesn't say Roger's on it somehow having our reservation and telling us to just go to the dock). Overall, we enjoyed the tour itself, but the issues with finding the location and being asked to pay different fees than we were quoted were off-putting.

We were picked up by a driver in a passenger van prior and dropped off after which was great since we knew we would have some cocktails on board the boat. He was great! Very nice and took good care of us. When we arrived, the driver escorted us to the Cabo Adventure center where we were met by one of the crew members and then escorted to the boat following check-in. We walked a short distance to the boat, passing by many vendors and shops who of course chased you down for sales, donations, etc. But all is good, just say no thank you and they leave you alone. We arrived to the boat and were introduced to our captain, and team. Mauricio, Manuel and Derick. All three were very nice. They catered to whatever we requested from drinks, lunch and snorkeling time. When we arrived, they shared we had a photographer taking pictures throughout the day. I was excited as I am usually the one always taking photos so it would be nice to have a photographer taking pictures of our group instead of me. And, to have professional photos would be great! I only snapped a couple of pictures as we boarded because it looked like he was taking a lot of photos of us in front of the arches, hanging on the boat, etc. throughout the afternoon. I also thought the photos were included. They are not. The boat ride was great. Drinks were great. They made cocktails for us. Snorkeling was nice. Views were beautiful. They answered our questions of the area. We have a delicious light lunch of chips and guac, pasta salad, chicken salad and fruit. The staff couldn't be nicer. The photographer is nice. When we arrived back at the center, we were directed to the "photography" area where we quickly learned our photos would be $200! I calmly said let me look at the photos because if they are really that good, I'll pay for great photos. Sadly, they were all just awful! Only 1 decent photo out of 50 or so photos and even that photo needed major editing. Shadows, weird light. We had 2 different group shots. The photos in front of the arches, the top of the arches were cut off! Who cuts off the arches? Not one good picture in front of the arches. They do NOT have professional photographers my friends. Take your own photos. Don't let them convince you otherwise. I still purchased 3 photos as I thought I could use apps to improve them and wanted a memory of our day. $100 for 3 photos. Such a disappointment. I want to give this company 3 stars because of the photo situation but the rest of the experience was great and the photo situation is obviously a personal preference. If I had any photos other than 2, I would share them, TAKE YOUR OWN PHOTOS. Do not let them talk you into their photographer or you will be disappointed and out a lot of money.

Also, we forgot our water bottle in the boat afterwards and the company was very customer service oriented in helping us restrict the water bottle. We were repeat customers after an initial positive experience in May 2022 while now in December 2025 enduring random overcharges on unitemized receipts! A total of 4 of us booked a reservation through Amstar at Cactus Tours for the side by side UTVs (2 vehicles of 2 drivers and 2 passengers). Amount paid in full to Amstar a month in advance excluding the $25USD cash entry fee per person which we paid day-of. Also on day-of, we were offered upgrade options. The only option we proceeded with was to upgrade each vehicle 1 horsepower level up which was listed as $85 USD per vehicle for a total of $170 USD.  This was also explained to us that upgrading to that vehicle power meant insurance was included so no need for additional insurance purchase or security hold on the card. We declined ALL other upgrade options.  No private tour, no higher vehicle power upgrade beyond the 1 level up, NOTHING else. We provided a credit card and the staff member took the card for the transaction.  Again, the staff member insisted on upgrading to a private tour but we declined (which we later realized was because they didn't have any other parties booked at our time so it inevitably became a private tour anyway, they just hoped to get more $$ for it). He ran the card and handed us the receipt while rushing to direct us away to the locker area. Later upon arrival back to our hotels, we finally had a moment to review the receipt for the upgrade charges and saw it was actually charged $7,200 MXN (about $400 USD) with no itemization.  This isn't inclusive of any transaction or currency conversion fees, that is the amount directly on the receipt. This is DRASTICALLY way more than the upgrades we agreed to with no explanation or breakdown. Despite saying otherwise in other review replies, their website is not transparent in charges as the "upgrade" sheets they have in the lobby show charges differently than the website displays. The charge in MXN should have been roughly $3,060. I was overcharged $4,140 MXN, more than double what the true upgrade charge should have been alone. I went back and forth for days with Cactus Tours via calls and emails until after a week they finally stopped answering me completely. I'm in the process of filing a fraudulent chargeback with my credit card company since Cactus Tours chose to ignore my attempts for an amicable refund of the difference. Be VERY aware of all charges and do NOT let them rush you day-of at check-in without doublechecking everything if you still choose to do any activity at Cactus Tours. The tour guides will now also insist it is customary to tip $50 per vehicle at the end of the tour. This tip pressure did not exist in 2022. An additional $50 tip on top of the $25 per person entrance fee, any upgrade charges, plus initial reservation fees is wild.

About an hour into the ride, the whales started playing and singing, and it was such a beautiful surprise for the group! Despite a few of us being hungover and seasick, Diego and his crew were so much and knew how to keep the party going! Our driver Bradley was patient with us and kept us safe. Rachel was always just one call/text away if we needed anything. Lastly, Suzanne has been fantastic! Always there to help through all my endless questions. THANK YOU!

The world's worst tour experience! The boat is over sold and the too few seats are supposed to be…read more"family style." What that means is that you must ask strangers to slide over so you can sit. If you are a family of five, it means to sit, you may have some members on the top floor others at random tables. They oversell the ship especially around whale watching season. Avoid this tourist trap!!! Do not believe the tour operators at your resorts. The boat is okay and the food smelled good, but you will be standing for two hours or seating cramped with close to 200 strangers with only about 150 seats, half of which are benches with no backs. If the operators weren't so money hungry and full of spiteful greed, the tour might have been nice. Say they sold the ship to the true seated capacity. The horrible captain made an announcement asking people to scoot over. Families with kids or the elderly (the majority of families) were not interested in moving. I wasted too many precious vacations hours on this tour. I wasted too many precious dollars on this waste. If negative stars were ever an option this would be it. This tour is horrible, horrifying, horrific, abominable, awful, terrible, tragic, and all other adjectives that express regret and anger. This tour will lend to the ruination of your vacation day. Avoid it like the plague. Avoid it at all costs. I rarely write such negative reviews but today is that day. I wish I would have trusted my intuition and gotten off. Should have just jumped overboard. Sugar Honey Iced Tea show writ large. Negative stars and damn sure would never ever ever recommend!
