    Done! Even those they are trying to keep up with Verizon , I have to say, they will aways be second in my heart. To slow and to many problem. Don't mean, that I'll Burn my Bridge. Who knows I may come back. But in the mean time I found a new love and it's faster then ever viva fios.

    The customer service for Optimum has gone through to the floor. It is absolutely disgraceful how much they charge and the service they give. They nickel and dime you for everything and then can't credit your account when they don't offer service when they're the ones in the wrong. I hate to say it but they are thieves.

    I have been to this location, a couple of times. I suggest coming as soon as they open in the…read moremorning or in the afternoon to avoid long lines. Definitely don't come on a Monday or Friday because they are super crowded those days. The last time I went was on a Wednesday to return equipment. The staff is always really nice and they have security here. Parking also in the mall. My biggest issue is that they never know the answer to questions. When I return the equipment, I ask them how much will my bill be to make sure that it matched what the sales representative told me on the phone and they told me a completely different number.     The most absurd situation -- after waiting for over three hours this morning and canceling plans…read morefor an 8-11 AM technician to service my cable box and router and several other issues that I wanted to discuss with them, Optimum customer service sends someone who could not speak any English -- only just Spanish -- just Spanish! This is a business where, even when you call technical support-- although it can be challenging to understand what they are saying and clearly you can tell they speak another language -- they can at least communicate with you. Granted, the tech that came was late, but appeared cordial -- came with all his equipment, probably is a decent person and a hard worker, but you're not delivering me an Uber eats drop off meal or just delivering something to me. I need to discuss with you my issues, not have you call customer service to be a Google translator! Customer service got upset with me for questioning why on earth would they automatically assume that this was one of their better ideas! How would I be able to explain to him the issues I had? And please don't try to call to find out what's going on. You'll be met with an automated robot or waiting on hold for a lifetime. It got to the point where I was asking to please transfer me so that I can discontinue my service! First of all, not only are you providing high prices with substandard equipment, you want to convince your customers that actions such as this are OK and should be tolerated. Did they assume this part of the Bronx is primarily Spanish speaking? I can't imagine what they were thinking -- but it wasn't common sense. To top it off, they never sent another technician today, but took it upon themselves to not try to call for this discrepancy, but instead just changed my appointment to two days away without asking me!     I had severe difficulties switching my cell service. Boost Mobile put in a work order for the…read moreswitch. Boost said it would take 72 hours for the switch. Optimum's first offer was to send me a new free phone. I will receive the new phone within 48 hours. Optimum's second offer was that I could go to an optimum store and get a free phone. When I arrived at the store the new free phone was out of stock. My only option was to buy a new phone, last year's model. I have already spent over $200 on this new phone. Now, I am in the process of trying to get my money back or credit for my account.

I found out 3 weeks later, after returning from vacation, that my account on APT#1 was cancelled, and Optimum created a new account 07837-167939-08 for apt#2. i am the only account holder, and apartment #1 has nothing to do with apartment #2. After calling back 3 times, i was able to get my account reactivated into 07837-167939-09. i was charged fees for nonpayment of equipment not returned, even though i never cancelled my account. So, Optimum sales team cancelled my account on Apt#1 for Apt#2, even though they are not related. its a 2-family home. because of this, i was without internet service and mobile service for 3 weeks. My car was scratched during that time, and i had no access to my wifi cameras and no way to control my wifi thermostat. i am unable to find out who or what caused my vehicle damages as a result of this. why did Optimum share my personal details and account info with someone NOT on my account, and has nothing to do with apartment #1? this is a violation of my private information. I need financial compensation for this and all fees resulting removed. Account/Order/Tracking number: 07837-167939-07 Desired settlement: documented complaint, assurance that my personal information will be protected with identity monitoring services, and $1400 to repair the scratches on my car, and another $600 for the 8 calls , lasting 45 min or more each time, explaining this to be hung up on each time.

The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.

But I don't use them for TV and I would certainly never touch them for phone. I swear their customer service is designed to be sadistic. They have an infinite willingness to waste your time. This isn't true of every employee - I've had guys come to my apartment once or twice over the years who have been competent and nice. But I've also had them dick me around like crazy. And the TV service was completely unreliable. There is a cable box on our building that has been overflowing, with birds even sitting in it, for a decade. TWC staff point it out but don't do anything about it. Today I tried to get help with their website from "live chat," with a customer service person who was probably somewhere in Asia. I was there for 30 minutes. I only went there because I wanted to be sure to pay my bill - automatic bill pay seems to have gone wrong last month, and I noticed and contacted them, on my own - they didn't ask me to. I got the run around with canned sentences for about half an hour, and got no answer. Well, if they don't want to get paid, that's OK - I don't want to pay them. It's so irritating: I have a job, I'm at work, and they are getting me to do their job for free. Grr.
