The year was 1960 and I was 16 years old (forget it...the statute of limitations has passed) and you could drink in New York State at 18, plus back then nobody really cared. Now, underage drinking is such a big deal, as in the filing of the charges of "contributing to the delinquency of a minor," that it's all actually frightening. Times have changed but their menu heading is so true when it say "Your grandfather and perhaps your great grandfather dined with us too." Miller's Grove or what we called Shorty's was a real dive bar back in the 60's. But today, gone are the drunks, the smoking, the mouthy boisterous crowds and the loud noises. Today it's a really very nice bar and charming restaurant with a comfortable country décor serving excellent food. My partner ordered the lamb which looked delicious and indeed must have been as he didn't even give me a bite of it. For me I had their Prime Rib Special done Oscar Style. The meat came perfectly seasoned, was done rare as ordered, and had a good lump crab and cream sauce with asparagus. The taste, the flavor and the lecture couldn't have been better; a truly wonderful meal.

OnionRingus Gigantincus !!!…read more The Blackout Burger Bar is an establishment focused on...You guessed it, Burgers. This Burger Bar is located in a strip mall, minutes away from The Grove City Premium Outlets, gas stations, hotels, shops and other restaurants. Blackout can be a very busy place, so be warned, as it caters to a mix of locals, hotel guests and the outlet mall shoppers. Luckily, I went just before the dinner rush on a Saturday and was seated quickly. The menu has a selection of items, including their featured and more popular burgers. You also have the option of building your own burgers, and every table comes with a build-your-own sheet with multiple choices for customizing your burger. I ordered the 'Range Roaming Bison Burger' with bacon cooked to medium well, as you have a choice on how you want your patty cooked. I also ordered a side of their monstrous, massive onion rings that they are also known for. The food came out quickly, and my burger was cooked as I ordered it. The Onons rings were very crispy on the outside and were still hot inside as I got to the inside of them. They also have salads, soups, chilli, featured sandwiches, and apps on the menu. There is a beer menu that has standard and craft beer selections. The Blackout is a very popular spot for beers, burgers, sandwiches and accommodates people of all ages. Overall, a great experience, with good food and good service, and a place I would want to try again.

It came highly recommended, so I had to go over and check it out Walked in and was immediately greeted and taken to my table, I was only there for a brief moment before Ashley showed up to take my drink order. I like that prompt, on point and willingness to serve the customer. I ordered an iced tea with no lemon and checked out the menu. They have plenty of great options since it was wing day. I figured I'd better check it out. When Ashley came back with my ST I asked her what was up with wings and they were $0.99 each on Tuesday and Wednesday so I had to do it. They come smoked and fried which was absolutely wonderful and they come with a house dry rub which was off the charts. I ordered a house salad which was pretty big for the price. That and the wings made for a great meal. So I took that down in record time. I have to brag on my server. Ashley was absolutely great. She was on point all through the meal, she was not overbearing, she was attentive, friendly, made great suggestions, and was just overall a pleasure to have as a server. It really makes a difference when the person waiting tables knows what they're doing. And she was on point. I hope that management reads this and gives her a raise, because she was the gold standard for me. Having been a server for as many years as I have I can see it. So management if you're reading this that girl deserves a raise. And she should be the one training other waitresses how to be. Bottom line?l The experiences was really good, the food was amazing. The service was top notch and I don't have a bad thing to say about this place at all. If you are ever in this area you need to go back there and get yourself something on wing day which is Tuesday and Wednesday and be sure to ask for Ashley. You will not regret it.

I made reservations well in advance and rolled in at the very senior-citizen-approved dinner time of 3:00 pm with seven of us, my kids and their friends in tow. Our waitress absolutely understood the assignment. She kept the kid-sized drinks coming (a strategic move to avoid 47 refill requests) and was incredibly patient, friendly, and personable with our crew. The hardest part of dining here is surviving the novel they call a menu, so of course, I did my homework beforehand. We started with the Jambalaya Arancini and Soft Pretzel Bites. The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful inside (an instant reorder). The pretzel bites, though? The table demolished them. They also give you an absurd amount of beer cheese, which I happily took home... and may or may not have considered eating with a spoon. My Chicken Parmesan "Pizza Style" was hands down one of the best meals I've ever had at a chain restaurant. It's crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. My son completely annihilated every bite of the pasta in the center. Then came the main event, cheesecake. We tried Peach Raspberry, Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll, and Red Velvet. The Peach Raspberry is a standout: light, fresh, and perfect for summer. Even as someone who doesn't usually go for cinnamon roll desserts, I have to admit they absolutely nailed it. The girls loved the Red Velvet but wished for a bit more cake and a little less cream cheese. The biggest surprise? Feeding seven people for under $150. Thank you, Santa, for the Cheesecake Factory gift cards! I think we've officially started a new family tradition: National Cheesecake Day at The Cheesecake Factory every year.
