It seems like this place only operates on VRBO? Do they have an actual website that I could look at instead? I can't find all the information I'm looking for.

They are on Facebook - Cabins Outback Fredericksburg, Texas. You won't be disappointed! They are awesome!

This place is a find! The dirt road leading here had me concerned but it's a Texas Cool shangrila…read morecarved out 5 MINUTES from downtown Fredericksburg and it's in the middle of the country! There are 8 rooms built from shipping containers... not 1 container per room getting smuggled into the US creepy, but several joined to give each room a multidimensional look... each has a bedroom with a spacious reading den/nook and kitchenette. Huge fluffy towels in high end bathrooms. Each room customized with the owners collection of books and art and just... things. Built around a courtyard with a big gas fire pit... looks like lots of s'mores are downed there... where our group finished off every evening. So much better than ANY motel and MOST hotels. This place is a no brainer stay when I'm here in F'burg....

Spent 2 nights and three wonderful days at this fairly new getaway compound. We rented the Rosa…read moreroom, and my sister and her husband rented the Shangri-La (they were repeat customers). The buildings are constructed from shipping containers! They are very quiet inside, beautifully and smartly decorated, and each has a unique "theme". Immaculately clean and well appointed with everything you need. Great heating, AC and ceiling fans. Be warned, there is NO TV and the internet access is sketchy. But isn't that the purpose of "getting away"? Very pet friendly place! There is a 10 acre hay field behind (also owned by the hosts) where dogs are allowed to run freely. The hosts, Mary Susan and JD, are very personable and always on site. They actually greet you, get to know you, hang with you at the fire pit at night, dispense great local knowledge and bid you farewell at departure. Only five minutes from Fredericksburg and lots of great food, live music, the Chester A. Nimitz, National Museum of the Pacific War museum and many wonderful wineries (particularly The Edge and Adega Vinho). It's a bit challenging to find, but the hosts provided good directions. Our hosts provided S'mores at the fire pit nightly. For New Year's Eve, they provided tamales, black-eyes peas, fireworks and Champagne! Very quiet and a bit remote. Deer occasionally visit the grounds. A great getaway that is becoming very popular. There is also a farmhouse with a meeting room for larger groups. Make reservations early! We will definitely make a return trip here!

After hearing that they are well known for their little B&Bs this one stood out among the rest for our weekend trip. We were going to be visiting on our 15th anniversary and lucky for us they still had some Saturday night reservations a few weeks before our trip. We originally had the Evening Star reserved but a lovely woman from the reception reached out to us upon seeing our reservation and asked if we wanted to be upgraded to the Weber House - for no additional charge! This was an absolute yes! What a nice gesture since they knew it was our anniversary - based on the questionnaire during check out. Some of the buildings are split with multiple room offerings- like the main hall- the Weber House however we stayed in was just us. We had a cute porch, living room, kitchen, bedroom, hugeeee bathroom with clawfoot tub and a screened in outdoor porch. Some of the bigger houses you can rent have room for multiple people but ours was intended for 2 people. They also have a cute library with some books and DVDs you can borrow. The property itself was VERY quiet. When we arrived we checked in at the little office upfront. The girl working even walked us to our little house since we had never been on the property before. Whoever stayed at the house the night before had broken the glass on the little table in the kitchen which was a bummer, so we could not use that, and maintenance was off on weekends. But otherwise it was the cute quaint place. Bed was comfy, central AC even though the buildings themselves pre-date that. Each one is unique too! We especially liked sitting on the screened in porch at night and enjoying a bottle of wine. In the morning they promptly left breakfast in a basket at 9am at our doorstep that was home cooked. It was a very sweet inn.

This place is truly ideal. The room was spacious and beautiful. It's located so close to downtown,…read morebut it's not too cramped. My wife and I biked the Willow City Loop, and we were able to leave straight from the Hoffman Haus without any issues. But best of all, the staff hosted a Super Bowl party with great barbecue when we got back from our ride! They are truly the friendliest people.

The scenery of the property was like something from a Hallmark movie! Absolutely gorgeous. The beds were our favorite lol they were so comfortable! Not to mention the entire house is so tastefully decorated (without having to worry about the kids having accidents). There was even a small Xmas tree we turned on after the Macy's Day Parade! The house is perfect for families! Spacious enough to where you can all be together but also on your own without being disturbed. As the family chef, the kitchen was my favorite! It had all the odds and ends I needed to cater to my nieces. The house had all the creature comforts of home one could ever need or want. Could not recommend Melanie and her home more! 100/10 stars, would recommend and will stay again!

There are lots of options around Texas for romantic spots so that doesn't sound too hard, right? Well, it wouldn't be if you weren't dealing with a hormonal, PMSing girl with mad food cravings because she's trying to be good and eat low carb to squeeze into the size-too-small bridesmaid dress that she ordered. Too much info? I digress. We hit the wine road towards Fredericksburg and after seven wineries, 42 tastings, and six bottles later, he brought me to the most adorable place I've ever stayed at: Carriage House. In case you're wondering, it was just as adorable the next day when I was more sober (my photos don't do the place justice). The outside of the main house was pretty, but no, we weren't staying in the main house- he did better than that. Off to the side of the main house was a little cottage standing by itself. "EEEEE, we're staying in there?!" my tipsy self gushed. The girly squeals only intensified after I saw the interior of the cottage. Hubs had outdone himself. A few tips for first timers: Dogs under 30lbs are allowed to stay for an extra $10/night. You have your very own private parking spot that is literally right next to the cottage. Once parked, you will find a little gate about a yard in front of your car; the gate leads right to the front of the cottage. In addition to the usuals that are provided at a hotel, the cottage is also supplied with dishes, silverware, and wine openers. Just check the drawers around the kitchen sink. Towels and extra toiletries are located under the bathroom sinks, and there is a step stool located underneath the (very high) bed. If you're short, use it. If you've been drinking wine all day, use it. When in doubt, use it. You're not actually served breakfast in bed here. Instead, you're given $10 vouchers (one for each guest) that can be used at several popular brunch spots in Fredericksburg. If Carriage House had a cheesy slogan, I would imagine it to be something along the lines of, "Carriage House: Drink Wine and Fall in Love." So friends, drink wine, fall in love, and check this place out. But don't try to book on my birthday weekend. Because it'll be mine.

It was romantic and we discovered the neighboring cabin seems to be empty so we have the entire experience to ourselves. Cons: The menu for breakfast ranged $9-15 per person. And the voucher is for $12 for the entire bill. 5 rather large dead bees on the floor. I'm grateful they are dead and I know it's a cabin but I have an aversion to bugs dead or alive and I think a quick sweeping before guests arrive would have been sufficient. We found a broom and swept them up ourselves. Also there was a sign on the wall that quoted the price for the room at $20 less a night than I am paying.. Which is definitely a con. It's OK to raise the prices, things change, I'd just rather not know about it. The shower head is rainfall/soak only..I like it but my husband prefers more water pressure. Tub is sized for one.. Fine with me but good to know. THE PROS (outweigh the cons) It's a full cabin to ourselves.. Upstairs is the bedroom and washroom..downstairs is a living room with a small table for 2 and a tiny kitchette. It's cozy, fun, pretty, secluded and very romantic..the porch is nice the area is gorgeous and we wish we could stay a week. It's a 10min drive from town and although the host lives on the property they keep to themselves. Bed is big and comfortable, whirlpool tub bath is nice (especially after a wine tour and a night out dancing at the saloon) There is a CD player which was nice too for some low mood music. No TV..perfect for a real vacation. Fireplace is really nice too. coffee, water and oj is provided. Heat/cool is well controlled so the cabin is comfortable. So.. Highly suggest taking one morning and getting breakfast to go, then sit on the porch listening to birdsong and watching the neighboring cows graze and deer frolic. There's a bird feeder with all sorts of birds and a squirrel even joined me on the porch (sitting still long enough). Honestly the most peaceful relaxing way to spend our final morning. In my opinion, staying off the beaten path is best. The way the wood creaks, the smell of a cabin, the clear view of the stars in the night sky, morning mist and being serenaded by birds in the morning.. We didn't want to go home.

FABULOUS. So much love is present; it felt like we were being hugged, so much love was put into making every part of our stay just wonderful. Kate helped me with the reservation and stayed in touch by email to give me all the details. The directions were perfect. (Thanks Kate) We arrived, went to our cottage as instructed and immediately knew it was a super good choice. Skip, the owner, came over to see us about 15 minutes after our arrival. He walked us through the "how-to" for staying, operating things, where to find the coffee grounds, etc. The fresh baked bread Skip provided was delicious as was all the food during our stay. (Dona says to mention the chocolate cake provided for the afternoon snack - it was to "die for" she says). Skip said he and Kate were both available during our stay but would honor our privacy. Our stay was FABULOUS. This is beyond five stars. Thank you so much Skip and Kate. I hope everyone gets the chance to meet you and spend some time in a cottage. We hug you right back!!
