Cabby Shack in Plymouth, MA, offers a pleasant dining experience with its prime location right by the water. Our visit was highlighted by a mix of positive aspects that left us content and satisfied. The picturesque location is undeniably one of Cabby Shack's strengths. Being situated by the water adds a serene and inviting atmosphere to the dining experience. The scenic views added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. When it comes to the food, the clam strips and clam chowder were clear winners. The clam strips were crispy and flavorful, a true taste of the sea. The clam chowder was rich and comforting, hitting all the right notes. However, the lobster claws and lobster roll, while decent, didn't quite stand out as much. The lobster roll being served cold wasn't quite to my preference, as I enjoy them warm. While they were satisfying, they didn't match the excellence of the clam dishes. Service played a significant role in enhancing our visit. The super friendly waitress was attentive and made us feel welcomed. Her attentive nature added a personal touch to the dining experience, making us feel valued as customers. The drink selection was commendable, offering a variety to choose from. Opting for a local craft beer was a great choice, adding a touch of local flavor to our meal. Despite arriving without reservations and with a group of six, we were pleased to find that there was no wait to be seated. This efficiency added to the overall positive impression we had of Cabby Shack. In conclusion, Cabby Shack offers a worthwhile dining experience in Plymouth, MA, with its scenic location, standout clam dishes, friendly service, and efficient seating. While there were a few minor aspects that didn't quite match our preferences, the overall experience left us content and looking forward to returning. With its strengths and charming atmosphere, Cabby Shack earns a solid 4-star rating from me. read more

hello my name is Mick Harrington and we are from Columbus Ohio- please read all the way before you spend any money in this dumpster. We came here for my family visit this summer 2019, last year we ate at the Lobster Hut and wanted to try this place this time, bad mistake, we got there around lunch time on Monday my family and sister in law and niece were seated in an area where children under 2 years old were seated and they were not happy and very fussy, but lets get to the review of this dumpster fire, we waited for ever for service and again they were not busy at all, once my fist and chips arrived I went to put ketchup on my fries and the lid came off and the entire plastic tube of ketchup went all over my plate, the fish was all covered as well, did the server bring me new fish no, but i did get more fries, really? then my daughters food arrived she ordered chicken Parmesan, she cut the chicken and it was raw, it was awful, we asked the server to look at it and she did get a new meal, really raw chicken? then we were done and sat and sat and sat for our bill then she took our credit cards and then we sat and sat and sat for her to return, so our experience was awful there we didn't even get like a free desert or anything so my advice to you good people that are hungry before you spend your hard working money go eat at another near by place. yes my family will visit Plymouth again next year but you can bet we will never step foot in the cabby shack again read more

We are from New York, but took a trip to Plymouth this past saturday. Debated on lobster hut or the cabbyshack for a quick bite. We chose the cabbyshack for the world famous clam chowder. It was outstanding although messy! It was a busy night we went about 7:00 I would suggest going earlier in the day because it seemed like we were just in the middle of the dinner rush. Given that our waitress was amazing. She always greeted us with a smile and gave us plenty of useful information on what to do in Cape Cod (given that we were just visiting the area). I remember we had a conversation about the spelling of her name when I noticed it on her name tag, I believe it was Hailia. I ordered the roo runner and my wife ordered the pirates of carribean drink. They were both amazing and had a variety of fruit on the rim. Appearance was a 10/10. For food I got the half captains platter and it was way more than enough food for 1, good price to. My wife got fish tacos which she really enjoyed. We waited almost an hour for our food but we were in no rush. I assumed since it was pretty busy that it was the kitchen to blame. Our waitress did apologize a few times and a manager came over to apologize himself but we didn't mind. Overall place was a great experience I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

I'm genuinely disappointed and frustrated after our recent visit. The atmosphere was extremely loud, which made it hard to fully enjoy the evening. That said, our server was fantastic and the appetizers -- the cheesy garlic bread and the street corn dip -- were both really good. Our main dishes, including two coconut shrimp rice bowls, a pizza, and an order of sushi, were all solid. Unfortunately, the clam chowder really missed the mark. It was served in a coffee cup and was overly thick -- more like a ball of dough than chowder. It had way too much flour and potatoes, and barely any clams. I appreciate a thick chowder, but this one could've doubled as wallpaper paste. Our server did the right thing and got a manager, but the response we received was frustrating. Rather than addressing the issue or offering to make it right, we were told that everyone else liked it and that we were the only ones to complain. Then she walked away. That's it. Honestly, that kind of response is exactly why people don't bother saying anything -- because it clearly doesn't make a difference. We weren't looking for a handout, but it was disappointing to see no effort made to resolve the issue, especially considering the $211 total. I hope keeping the $16 for the chowder was worth losing our future business. read more

I ordered takeout one night recently and was in disbelief. A young lady with dark hair, freckles, etc. her name tag said carly was very rude to me. On the phone she kept telling me to speak up because she couldn't hear me. I understand if she can't hear me then to say something about it but it couldn't been approached a lot nicer. Then, When I picked up my food I signed the receipt and left no tip. I then hear her make a joke to a girl wearing orange saying I was a "cheap bitch" because I didn't tip her on such a big order. This is disgraceful. I have been such a big fan of cabbyshack for years but with employees like this, I will not be returning. I'm sure many of us would like to see this girl fired because I'm sure I'm not the first person who has been disrespected. Do better on who you hire cabbyshack! It's only going to hurt your business in the end! read more

I am dumbfounded over the 3 star rating. If you ever visit Plymouth, you must patron CabbyShack. I love, love, love this restaurant. My daughter and her USCG hubby live in Bourne. I was sorely disappointed that we weren't able to go, when I was visiting them the last time, which was two weeks ago. However, I'm hoping to be able to go to Cabby Shack again, when we return in June. Anyway, I cannot express how great the food and service are. Of course, ordering the "Clam Chowdah" is a must do!! I could easily make a meal on that. However, they have a large menu. I really enjoyed their Blackened Salmon Salad. We prefer eating on the upper deck during the warm months. The view is perfect and truly sets the mood. The service is exemplary. I think the prices are very reasonable and in tune with the area. read more

First visit we were served the parts of vegetables one would usually throw away and lobster bisque that was like drinking salt. The manager wouldn't even come to our table. Went back a week later to try again, even though when I called the manager was full of excuses.. This time I got a big leg knuckle in my bisque, and when the manager came out it was basically said that I should be happy I almost choked on a shell because they shuck it themselves, I know it to be fresh and should be happy. My burger was 1/2 raw- because they make their stuffed patties with barely anything in them and the shape of a meatball, which is NOT necessary for a stuffed patty, but because they so stupidly made it that way 1/2 of it was raw! When I spoke with the manager- all excuses and zero accommodations! read more

i was very disappointed in this places choice of workers. they have this girl with blonde hair, believe her names hailey, kinda on the bigger size. She used to work at the boston tavern in middleboro, but recently she has gotten fired for stealing 15 meals.. i don't think this is a good look for your restaurant. i remember i came to the cabby shack last year and she bussed my family and i's table, she was very rude to me and pushed all the crumbs on my lap and in my little girls lap too. she is not a good influence to have working there in your facility. i would know because the whole town of Middleboro and Lakeville are just disgusted with her behavior. hopefully you don't let her bring your restaurant and get her out of there before it's too late! thank you for your time. read more

This place is hit or miss when it comes to food and servers. We have gone quite a few times, and depending on season, and day of the week it can bee good or bad. Also depends on how many tourists buses have landed in plymouth that day. It seems that they assue that every patron is a tourist and will not be returning again, so they rarely go out of their way for you. And if you happen to be over the age of 35 and sit at the bar - well you may as well just walk out, because they will walk by you as if you don't exist so they can serve that hottie that just walked up while you have waited 20 minutes. And what they seem to forget is that older people are usually much better tippers !! read more

This place is Horrific. The management and staff are a bunch of clowns, Hosting an event for a friend a few years back, we were put on the on the second floor and could go to the first floor, which they also put customers in, it was way over the limit of how many people could fit into a place like this. The cops came and the event was ruined due to the management letting regular people go upstairs to where WE PAID for privacy. This place is a joke they are money hoarders at a good location, a bunch of adults running a business like teenagers. read more

Ladies- do not bother coming here if you don't look exactly like your ID picture. My friend and I weren't allowed in because my friend's license picture "looked nothing like her". Apparently aging between the ages of 16 and 23 isn't allowed. Makeup and hair coloring also seem to be foreign concepts to the men working the door. After my friend provided further identification, we were still not allowed in and were treated with the utmost disrespect. This place is incredibly sexist. read more

Decent foot- great entertainment by the water, very good views, a fun family atmosphere, and overall a good spot. You can't really go wrong. I do think the food could taste better- it's not going to blow your mind. Have a few drinks, enjoy some food, but don't expect it to be fine dining. The only bad things are really long wait times, but you can't fault them for that. I always love going here- and I think they are kid friendly. read more

We visited this summer and ate there multiple times. Everything we ate was delicious but especially the Chowdah! We loved it so much we brought home 8 quarts to share with our family and friends. Tonight we defrosted a quart from our freezer and it was just as delicious as it was when we ate it in the restaurant. We will be back next summer for the 3rd summer in a row! read more

It's critical to note that Dilly's is located within the Ritz!! It's a dark pub, but the atmosphere was fantastic! Sophia was a fantastic bartender; she was laid-back, friendly, and accommodating. The rice bowls were out of this world. We'll have to go at night the next time we're in MV to experience the "night life," but it was a nice quick lunch before our ferry! read more

It doesn't matter what time of day it is, the music is on so loud you can't here yourself think about what you might want to eat. The pizza is good and the other stuff I think you could get at the grocery store in the freezer section and cook at home. Go to this restaraunt if you don't mind fighting through the crowd of drunk bikers and rude wait staff. read more

I recommend staying far away from this place. Food is below average, poor staff and they have a problem with customers being roofied. They do not care for the safety of their customers. Place filled with creeps. Place is packed with a bunch of young drunk kids and old drunk creeps. Food will probably make you sick and WATCH YOUR DRINKS!!!! read more

We stepped by for a lunch on the way to New Hampshire. First, eye catching colorful interior with many local people. We tried famous clam chowder and it was chunky and creamy. From their pizza menu we went for clam baked and scallop bacon. Unique combination pizza but too salty. We also tried fried calamari, which met our expectation. read more

We had our holiday party at Cabby's this month. It was a great location and the room was perfect for dancing, conversation, socializing and privacy for our company. The food was amazing! The DJ was great. The staff said it was the best Holiday Party we have ever hosted! Thanks for making it memorable and very tasty!!!! Marlena read more

Good Location, good staff, and fun atmosphere. Went with a party of 7 and we had 5 different dishes. The chowder was good, best thing there we all agreed, but the lobster rolls, fish and chips, Mac and cheese, edible but nothing to go crazy over. Lots of potential but not quite there. read more
