Fisherman's platter
Sarah J.

Fisherman's platter was fresh and fried to perfection, steamers seemed bottomless and again fresh and tasty. Lobster roll was typical, unfortunately nothing special. Beer selection was excellent! It's was a hot Sunday afternoon so the place was jammin, but our quotes wait time was spot on. The negatives, jammin or not waitress failed. No check backs, no water refills, poor service. There was who I assumed was a homeless person with mental issues yelling loudly and with much profanity at the air that was pretty off setting inside the establishment.

I feel so guilty giving this place anything less than a 5-star, but here's the deal: this is by far a New England local hot spot during the summer so it's always slammed and the vibe itself is an acquired taste. Beyond that, the fried food, the chowdah and the lobstah rolls (both sizes) are seriously drool worthy. Literally I'm about to drive there right now for lunch to the face.

I'm in town for a few days with a hundred of my closest friends. Ha. Actually, my son is graduating high school and his school goes on a senior trip to Plymouth and Boston and the wife and I are tagging along. This is my wife's favorite restaurant in Plymouth and loves the clam bake (clam chowder pizza). I decided to keep it more traditional tonight and asked for a pizza with hot honey. I was excited for the zing of the hot honey, but they forgot to put it on there and when I asked the waitress about it her manager said too bad we are still charging you. I was chill and still ate the pizza and it was okay, but definitely seemed plain without that zing. They tried to give me a bag of chips as a consolation prize but still charged me for the phantom hot honey. Hard to rate higher than a 3/5 based on that faux pas.

Sticky Wings (Daily Special)

Grabbed some lunch while at the Waterfront Festival. Took advantage of the beautiful day and sat on the roof deck overlooking the Plymouth Harbor. Our wait was short and our server was excellent. We grabbed some Frozen Frappaccinos (1 non alcoholic which they made no issues) and they were awesome. We went with the Sticky Wings for an appetizer (which were the daily special) and they were phenomenal. We both ordered the Fesh Catch Sandwich: Blackened Mahi and it was great. The Onion Rings were awesome too.

This is the Tropical VooDoo juice and prices

This place is so fun!! Artificial palm trees around it and a tiki bar. There are surfboard tables, two bars (one outside, one inside), live entertainment, multiple TV's where you can watch sports. We happened to go when USA was playing soccer. It got pretty crowded. You can put your name in for a table but if that's not for you, you can walk right in and grab a bar seat. We had a few buckets of Tropical Voo Doo juice. I recommend the bucket. It's 32oz. For $21.50. If you just got the regular drink, it's $13.99. We split it. Packs a little punch. Delicious! I didn't take any pictures. Just of the cocktail menu. We ordered a fisherman's platter to split. The scallops were huge and delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The clams were big bellies. The fish was so fresh with a nice batter. It also had fries and onion rings. Yummy! If you're looking for a fun place with great drinks, an island feel, and delicious seafood, then this is for you!

Lousy expensive house salad. All lettuce.

please do not order salads from this place . I rarely call and complaint but I did got this situation. This house salad was over 2O dollars. I spoke with the manager and also showed her the picture only to have her call back and basically say it was fine. She quoted how ever many ounces of tomatoe and chopped cucumbers they put in and said it it the way they always serve them. The few chopped up onions and cucumbers that I needed to search for is what they have affirmed is "that's the way we alsoways make them ". Poor customer service too. Huge rip off

Crab Cake Sandwich with onion rings

Amazing food, service was great, place is clean and cozy, we definitely will be going here again. Special for the chowder.

We first wandered in on a cold, rainy afternoon and were immediately charmed by the cozy atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, and everywhere we looked, steaming plates of comfort food were making their way to happy diners. The cod Reuben with sweet potato fries was outstanding, and the clam chowder was exceptional. In fact, after trying chowder at six different places during our trip, my husband and I both agreed this was our favorite by far. The shepherd's pie looked incredible as it passed our table, but we'll have to save that for next time. The only real downside is the limited parking, but it's a small trade-off for such a wonderful spot. If you're in the area, don't miss this hidden gem!

Unfortunately, we left pretty confused about where the 4.5 stars are coming from. We were seated quickly, and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming. We had a booth, although it was oddly high and uncomfortable for me at 5'3" because my feet could barely reach the ledge. Service was pleasant, but after we ordered, no one really checked in on us. Our table tried quite a bit: the Reuben, classic New England cod, another cod and clam dish, clam chowder, and a pretzel. The clam chowder was probably the highlight. It had good flavor, although I would have loved more actual clams. The wine was mediocre. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was about a 5/10 for us. Nothing was terrible, but most of it was surprisingly bland and just not memorable. My cod and clam dish was especially disappointing. It came with four very large clams, but one was completely closed and should never have made it onto the plate. The cod, potatoes, and other ingredients were sitting in a pool of cream sauce, yet somehow the dish still tasted underseasoned. It felt more like something I could have steamed and put together myself at home for a simple, healthy weeknight dinner rather than something I'd be excited to order at a restaurant. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off day, because the consistently high ratings made us expect much more. We specifically chose this place based on those reviews instead of going somewhere with a view and slightly lower ratings. In the end, we got neither the view nor particularly good food, which was disappointing. The kind staff and clam chowder were the bright spots, but based on our meal, I personally wouldn't rate the overall experience anywhere near 4.5 stars.

When I got home and opened up the bags there was no ketchup or tartar sauce. Most people have ketchup in the fridge so not a big deal but no tartar sauce? C'mon!!! Their usual crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside French fries have been replaced with boring "run of the mill" fries. The clam belly roll was in fact all clam strips. Not a single belly to be found. The roll was at least buttered and toasted but was a little stale. There were a few "bottom of the bag" crumbles of lettuce sprinkled in the bottom of the bun. Overall, a very sad sandwich. My wife's salmon burger was fine. Her bun was also stale.

Our server did not stop by to find out how our food was until we were almost finished with our meal. I had to flag down a busboy to request a condiment. My lobster roll was the worst I've ever had. Anywhere. I've lived on the east coast for 50 years so I've had a few lobster rolls in my life. I've never had one that was warm with butter but also crispy and dry on top. The meat was mostly the tips of small claws, had no flavor and was really tough. There was a good amount of meat in the sandwich but it was unpleasant to eat. When the server finally bothered to stop by she offered to replace it but I was done with the entire experience at that point. The restaurant was not full so there is really no excuse for the poor service and food quality. Please don't waste your time and money here.
