A hidden gem that I just discovered on accident. This park is nice for the dogs to run and play. So far owners seem to be cleaning up after dogs, there are poop bags and garbage cans available. I love that there is no grass because so far even on a rainy day there isn't any mud puddles. They have a dog wash station to clean off your dog as well as fresh water fountain for dogs to get a drink. Sunrise Park & rec is doing a good job with maintenance too. I'm not how some people reported on Facebook their dogs feet getting cut because there is nothing that would cause that. My puppy runs and runs without any issues. The area is decomposed granite and some concrete in a couple areas.

This off leash area is fully fenced and double gated. Mature trees around and inside the fenced area. It's a single play area not split between larger and smaller dogs. It is clean, people seem to pick up after their pup, and the few times we've been here, it hasn't been crowded. Today, we brought our fur child and our fur grandchild to meet up with a friends fur child - they'll be spending some long hours together in the near future and need to get familiar with each others (butts) .. personalities. There were the three small dogs and then another few showed up .. all small dogs on this Sunday morning. One large lab appeared with his owner and small pup sibling. The surrounding park area (ball fields) are wide open spaces and if your pup is mindful and doesn't stray too far, you could have a full run of the park (but technically, that area is not off leash .. wink wink). Very happy with this off leash area.

This was the second dog park on our dog park tour! We arrived around 10:00 AM with our puppies. I brought my 7-month-old pup, and my friend brought her 5-month-old boy, who was even smaller than my dog but much more outgoing and social. Overall, I'd give the park 3 stars. The park has separate areas for small and large dogs, which I really appreciated since both dogs are young and small. The small dog section was surprisingly spacious, with a mix of grass and pea gravel, plenty of shade from mature trees, poop bags available, and even a shaded kiddie pool area set up by some of the regulars. There were also lots of lawn and patio chairs, which made it comfortable for owners to sit and socialize. There seemed to be a group of regulars there, mostly in their late 50s to 70s, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. All of the dogs we encountered were well-behaved and friendly too, which made for a great experience. It was fun seeing the difference in our puppies' personalities. My friend's pup was eager to meet everyone, while mine was a bit more reserved and preferred to explore. My biggest complaint is actually that the small dog area was almost too large. With a fast, energetic 7-month-old puppy, it was difficult to keep track of him at times. There are several heavily treed areas where dogs can disappear from view, and some spots were hard to access. While I appreciated all the shade, some of these areas felt a little overgrown and poorly maintained. The park also could use some additional upkeep. There were an agility obstacle, but it had standing water on it, and I noticed some dog poop that hadn't been picked up. Later, after the regulars left and we had the park to ourselves, we explored a picnic table near the back fence that sits behind a line of bushes. Unfortunately, we found several cigarette butts on the ground in that area. Overall, C-Bar-C Dog Park is a good neighborhood dog park, especially if you're looking for something convenient and close by. Since it's only a few minutes from my parents' house, I would definitely return, but I do wish the park was maintained a little better.

However, recently I decided to venture back because it is so close to where I live, which makes it a lot more convenient than the other local dog parks. I've been here three times since, all on a weekday evening. The good: huge area for the large dogs to run around, with plenty of grass. Dogs have plenty of space to play with each other, or wander away if needed. The main sitting area is also away from the entrance, so I don't feel like my dog gets mobbed when we first get in. All the dogs so far have been really friendly and well socialized. It definitely seems like there is a regular good sized group of people who go at the time I have been going, which is nice. People are friendly and seem to care about how their dogs are acting/reacting. Poop bag canisters are always well stocked. The ok: along with the grass there is also a lot of dirt and some muddy areas, which is a bummer when my dumb dog decides he wants a mud bath... The bad: out of all the parks I've been to, this place seems the worst with owners cleaning up after their pets. I understand its a grassy area and sometimes hard to find, but I keep an eagle eye on my dog at all times and usually after doing a few minutes of searching, am able to find where he pooped. Along the way I usually find 3-4 older poop piles. I pick up what I can, but it would be nice if people were more considerate about that. No one wants to step in poop, or have it get on their dog to bring back into their car. There also tend to be some homeless always walking around the park as other reviews have mentioned. However, I haven't been bothered by them. I feel like there are less around right now too because its summer and there appears to be a lot of sporting/family activities going on in the evening. Might be different when the weather and sunlight hours change. Overall, the park has been really good. My dog seems to like it too, which is the most important!

I wanted to make sure my puppy did his business BEFORE the road trip back. IT was completely empty but I totally understand because it was 100+ degrees! At times, you and your fur baby 'gots to get out of the house beyond the backyard. If this is you and you live in North Natomas, listen up... tucked in the 'burbs of the Regency Park subdivision is the REGENCY PARK COMMUNITY DOG PARK. The dog park is simple and does the trick. It has grass and a dandy dirt run. It is by no means a destination dog park. It has a large dog area and a small dog area. The mature trees are puny and does not provide a lot of shade. They have a few benches and shade awnings in the dog park. But if you plan to stay a spell, it is advised to bring your own portable chair to sit on and avoid this place in the summer park heat due to the lack of shade. The small dog park area has its own entrance and is distanced further away from the larger dog area. The large dog area is front and center on the corner of Bridgecross and Honor Parkway Drives. The dog park is part of the larger connecting Regency Park. The dog park is right next to a small baseball field used for Little League and a soccer field. Further to the east is a children's play area that is right next to Regency Park Elementary School. There is a walking path that connects this part of Regency Park to the larger section located southward. This side of Regency Park has no parking lot and restrooms. Parking is street parking. There is plenty of parking availability except on little league game days. On those days, it is a madhouse.
