They removed old blown in insulation that looked like dirty pink snow drifts (with evidence of rodent activity!!), vacuumed, sanitized, and laid super thick rolled out insulation. We also had all the A/C ventilation hoses replaced and strapped up to the rafters, rather than lay them across the attic floor. Our attic is not very accessible, but I went up there after they left and it even smells good! This house was built in the 1950's and now it feels new again just knowing that area is now immaculate. Plus, they securely attached metal mesh screens to every single space or broken vent so rodents cannot access anywhere. Very reassuring. Moshe treated us like family. I used CAA expert builders to apply insulation on my brand new 1200 square-foot ADU and 800 square-foot storage/cabana. The Attic Experts fixed a poor job by another company (that went out of business) and replaced it with proper insulation. They vacuumed out the old insulation that had been blown in and was decomposing, making it difficult to breathe in the attic. We now have plenty of space! Multiple issues. Trash left in yard, plumbing leaks, cracked ceiling drywall on recessed lighting, electrical problem that I ended up having to pay out of pocket to resolve. Then after all that was still charged more money because they said they installed more ducts then THEY quoted. Jeff M I had 3 bids done before I chose Ben at CA Attic Experts. One quote was much higher, the other in the same ball park. Ben drove out from West Hills to Ventura County to meet with me. He did his inspection and picked up on things the other two companies did not. Ben and his team just left the house and they did an excellent job and worked their tales off. We have an older house with the original insulation in the attic. They did a great job on the install, Ben recommended radiant,we were thinking solar but our house is small and the cost made sense. Our AC air duct was laying the floor of the attic and the his team raised it iff the floor and braced to the ceiling beams for better air flow. He also replaced the wire mesh for the vents coming into house that had holes and through in a copper drain pipe from our AC unit that was previosly made of plastic that had melted and could have led to mold down the road. Contrary to what most people said here on Yelp about Ben with CA Attic Experts, my experience with him has been short and unpleasant, to say the least. When he came to my house, I asked him if he had a bootee to wear over his shoes. Otherwise, I asked him to take his shoes off as we have children and we walk barefoot inside the house. He said he would take his shoes off and barged in and settled on the stairs to remove his shoes, but not before walking around the house in his dirty shoes first. I stood aghast and told him that his walking around inside the house with his shoes on defeated the whole purpose of removing the shoes. Two years ago I hired this company to take out the old insulation because Rats had gotten in the Attic and replace it with New insulation which I spent 1757.00 dollars for. MY Mother was 93 at the time with breathing problems so we wanted her to stay warm and breathe clean air. First part of the job was to remove all the old insulation What they did was leave 50% of the old stuff and just replace half..So the question is where is 900$ worth of my new insulation and why is the job not done . I was really stressed about rat proofing, getting rid of the rat infestation damaged insulation in the attic, along with damaged air ducts in the basement which was in bad condition. I know I had to do something soon. Moshe returned my call right away and we scheduled a date for him to inspect. I did some research but you never know what the final job result will be like. Moshe explained and answered all my questions and yet I was hesitant with his hard sale and when he asked me to sign the contract after our conversation. However, I was desperate to get the work done. He had an opening in two days and I decided to trust him and go for it. His price was in the ball park of other estimates of $3,500-$4,250. He was reasonable and we agreed on a final price. On the day of the job, his crew arrived an hour later than Moshe said due to traffic. His crew of three men was professional, systematic, and knew what they needed to do. Without much communication on my part, they set-up then started working immediately. Moshe came around noon with more materials and to see the progress. I watched how hard the workers performed on that hot summer day! When they finished with the attic and basement, they checked the roof top and around the house for any holes where the rats might enter. They installed screens around the vent pipes and sprayed foam proofing too. I did a final inspection and found that attic was so clean and well insulated; the basement was clean with the newly installed air ducts. I was happy with the final result! They finished around 5:30 pm and cleaned up completely. Since I wasn't sure if the rats might still hide in the wall when the attic and basement were worked on, I decided to set rat traps in the basement just in case. I checked three days later, and found one rat in the trap. I'll have to check again in a few days to see if there are any more remaining rats. Hopefully, I'll catch rest of the remaining rats, if they are any more left. Also, the real test of the rat proofing will be known after tenting my house for termites which will be done soon. Tenting should kill any left over rats. Moving forward, there shouldn't be any more rats in the attic or basement; rats can't enter the house if all the holes are blocked! I hope so! Moshe said he will check for possible holes if I find any more rats after tenting. He said he "won't just disappear after the job is done!" I feel so relieved and happy to have worked with Moshe!
