The owner, Laura was encouraging, patient, and nonjudgmental of my skill level. I have also taken classes there with a few other teachers and everyone has been so helpful. I am obsessed with yoga now because of this studio, the teachers, and all of the really awesome members of this yoga community. I will be a member of this yoga studio for as long as they will have me. I feel like I'm a part of something special when I'm there. They also offer yoga at TUPPS Brewery once a month, prenatal classes, and different workshops. I just took the Chakra workshop. It was very informative and such a fun time.

I have tried at least 10 yoga studios in the past year and this is, hands down, my favorite place…read more The staff is cordial, the studio space is clean (15 minutes between classes but they mop it down when they can), and the classes are kick ass. I tried to attend classes at different times throughout the day to get the feel of the crowd, different instructors, and variety of class flows. All classes go at a fairly quick pace so you will need to know your yoga poses or peek over at your neighbors. Don't worry, there are plenty of people in class. It ranged anywhere from 10 to 30 yogis. The Sculpt and Detox Flows are the best classes as they incorporate dumbbells, kettle bells, medicine balls, and resistant bands. Fun stuff! The instructors are helpful, upbeat, and motivating. A cold, wet lavender towel is offered at the end of class and it is truly blissful after an hour of 100+ degree of hot, sweaty yoga. It is pricey at $150 per month or $25 per class but it really is worth it if you go a few times a week. It was so addicting that I went 12 times in 14 days. Just after two weeks, I felt leaner, stronger, and more carefree.

Because I'm a parent to an 8 month old that I had to hire childcare for just to make this class and I drove from 30 minutes away in ice and slush. But that doesn't matter because it's not my business. What does matter is that I was told there was a 5 minute grace period. Now that I know that there is not, I know that YogaSix does not work for me. Extreme rigidity does not fit in with my life right now. Which is a decision I could've made before spending $300 on a class pack. My hope is that this review provides someone else the transparency i wanted for myself. update in response to management's response: your reply insinuates that we've spoken about more than one incident and that i was late it by more than 5 minutes. was that your intention? the facts are: i have taken 7 classes and was late once. and on that day, i arrived at 12:03 (3 minutes late) and was not allowed entry. why not check the cameras to confirm? that contradicts your statements upon sign up and in your response that you have a 5 minute grace period. i'm also not the only review to mention this and you seem to be defensive in receiving feedback instead of looking at it as an opportunity for growth.

Prosper hands down is the best one for several reasons. Clean, so many sauna rooms so you usually get the one you want to yourself, clean, the staff is kind and welcoming, did I mention it's clean? I was driving 20 min to go to this one and a new one opened in Stonebridge less than 5 min from me but I miss it. Imiss seeing the workers actually cleaning equipment and not having to look at disgusting sweat and dust stained floors in the hiit rooms. This location is the best... any gym you go to you're going to run into a weirdo, any where in public really these days.

Both times they stayed 5 mins into the my scheduled session time, cutting my session short. One lady invited me in to join her (it's nice of her, but no), and the next time it happened, when I approached the man about me having the sauna booked, he barked back, "there are two other bikes in here." I just feel it's rude to stay in there during someone else's session.

I just attended my first session at Yoga Balance, a Fundamentals class with Tracy. I was worried…read morethat I wouldn't be able to do everything, as I'm 62, out of shape, and have no sense of balance. Well, it was difficult for me, but Tracy helped me and I felt comfortable about it all, though still annoyed that I let myself get so out of condition. Tracy was moving around everywhere, helping all the students with adjustments or corrections, explaining how we could modify a pose when we had difficulty. She gave me a folded blanket to protect my knees, a bolster, and a block to support my back, and helped me out when I couldn't get into position--while helping everyone else, too--how about that for multitasking. The Fundamentals class was difficult for me so I'll try the Gentle Yoga class next--will definitely continue going to Yoga Balance to get myself healthier: the place is very welcoming and calming and I wanted to hang around and just absorb the mental and emotional peace. It's nice that they have such a selection of classes for the very unready like me to the advanced. The other students (yogis?) were kind and considerate---no one made fun of me, and I felt comfortable in spite of my difficulties. The fees are very reasonable ($10 or $15 per class), there are no contracts or enrollment fees to lock you in, and the studio is small and cozy. I was concerned that it would have an exclusive upscale feel that would intimidate me (it's in a rather upscale neighborhood of McKinney), but it was friendly and inclusive, kind, and welcoming.
