Not gonna lie, I struggled in the last 20 minutes of the class but when we were given a cold, essential oil-infused towel at the end, I felt like it made it all worth it. I appreciated that throughout the whole session we were told different modifications we could do and I felt very at ease. The facility itself is right next to a great coffee shop I worked at before the class and the parking lot has plenty of parking spots. Inside there were showers, lockers to put away personal items, and all the yoga essentials like mats, towels, and yoga blocks. Also went to my first sound bath and it was great - the owner was very sweet and really cares about each person that comes to the studio. Highly recommend checking out a class and/or sound bath!

They name it Earth, Air, Water, and Alchemy. Basically Earth is practicing more rooted postures, water is flexibility, and air is power yoga. alchemy is a blend. I really enjoy Poornima's classes and Tanya's in particular. Also cold scented towels at the end of the class! This is definitely a part to look forward to.

Somebody could live there. The only class I was able to make was after work so it was during high traffic hour, it was crazy finding a parking spot. I might wait till it gets dark later to come back. Instructor was cool and welcoming. I didnt have any complaint besides the heater, it was so hot.

I was fortunate to have a chance to visit with Ruth and Tina when I arrived. Their vision is exciting! If you have a chance, arrive early so they can share with you their wonderful ideas. Ruth and Tina spared no expense on designing a studio that is very warm and inviting. I did my first vigorous class with Rebekah on October 5th 2022. Rebekah is a fun and very knowledgeable instructor. I love the way she builds on the flow. Allowing your body to warm up before breaking into more difficult poses. Rebekah is also excellent with counter poses which are very important when practicing yoga. Her class was a vinyasa with a few "circus tricks" lots of twists and balancing . Shala yoga loft is now my favorite thing to do on Wednesday at noon. ----- It's now 2023, and I'm now a member at Shala yoga loft. In October of 2022 I purchased a $40 two week unlimited, and I'm so glad I did! It allowed me to try all the different classes which helped me decide if Shala was the place for me. I now go to as many classes as I'm physically able to go to. I love the variety of classes that are offered and the uniqueness of each of the instructors. I honestly believe that Shala's yoga instructors are the best. They are all very kind and extremely knowledgeable. I also LOVE the choice of chilled or heated lavender towel at the end.

When providing this feedback, I was asked if I'd want someone coming into class 2-3 minutes late…read moreand my answer to that is: Yes, because I understand. Because I'm a parent to an 8 month old that I had to hire childcare for just to make this class and I drove from 30 minutes away in ice and slush. But that doesn't matter because it's not my business. What does matter is that I was told there was a 5 minute grace period. Now that I know that there is not, I know that YogaSix does not work for me. Extreme rigidity does not fit in with my life right now. Which is a decision I could've made before spending $300 on a class pack. My hope is that this review provides someone else the transparency i wanted for myself. update in response to management's response: your reply insinuates that we've spoken about more than one incident and that i was late it by more than 5 minutes. was that your intention? the facts are: i have taken 7 classes and was late once. and on that day, i arrived at 12:03 (3 minutes late) and was not allowed entry. why not check the cameras to confirm? that contradicts your statements upon sign up and in your response that you have a 5 minute grace period. i'm also not the only review to mention this and you seem to be defensive in receiving feedback instead of looking at it as an opportunity for growth.

Earlier in the week I went to Katie's 5:30 AM vinyasa class! Be aware if you arrive right on time early mornings the door may be locked, it seems to be an automatic feature since no one was checking people in the lobby. Katie saw me and immediately let me and another girl in. The yoga studio is smaller than I'm used to but it made for an intimate session and Katie was able to quickly make adjustments. She is pretty hands on, which as a local fellow fitness instructor I am very used to. But it may be something you mention if you are not keen on people touching you. Proper alignment is important to me in yoga, especially a faster paced class, and honestly this has been very healing for me after years of running my body into the ground with ultramarathon and endurance racing. But since I've been training for a fall trail race (!) I am getting back into my namaste practice. They have other amazing things there as well as Pilates and reformer looking machines. They are also on Class Pass so I will be dropping back in to visit.

I think the studio owner is very knowledgeable and grounded in providing a highly principled and safe space for everyone. I have had minor strains and postural issues for a while now that are finally improving and virtually asymptomatic after a few months of one on one private lessons. Other pilates and fitness category studios can be very high energy and are mostly a lot of fun, but they don't offer much individual feedback or correction, and discomfort from old strains or poor posture tends to get worse without someone who knows what they're doing look out for you. Monthly memberships and barre, yoga, etc are also offered here which is a great plus for when your wellness attention span is in need of variety. I've been here off and on now for over 2 years, and it's been absolutely worthwhile. Lela might be the most cheerful front desk staff I get to run into all the time lol. But in general also, everyone here is great.
