Since the item was so large, we asked for it to be delivered which was an 80.00 added fee. We told the saleswoman the width and depth of the shower that we wanted (having no idea that the base of the shower could be three inches high or 9 inches high). The sample tub shower on the floor had a 3 inch base, which is what we wanted as we did not want to have to 'step up into' the shower. The saleswoman did not inform us that there were two sizes of thresholds. The shower arrived with the 9 inch threshold. Our contractor did not notice the 9 inch base until after we had brought the shower into the second floor bath through the wall of our house as it would not fit through the doorway. The wall was already sealed back up when it was noticed. However the shower door that also came with the shipment was sized to fit a shower with a 3 inch threshold. So the shower doors rose 5 inches higher than the top of the tub shower. We also ordered the door in Polished Nickel. All of the hardware was Polished nickel. My fault for not looking at the receipt after we ordered; the hardware was Polished Nickel but the door was ordered in Brushed Nickel. Our contractor made the shower door work by building blocks between the door and wall, but the shower still looks out of place. When I called and spoke with the saleswoman she initially tried to blame our contractor for not reading the schematics correctly. Then she asked if we purchased the shower doors from Swartz. (Of course we did) When I asked for a possible discount on the faucets that we still needed for the vanity, she offered a very small discount (we got them at Lowes for way less than her offer with discount) She did not even offer an apology for the rather huge mix-up. Nor did she offer me the opportunity to speak with a manager about the issue. Nor did she seem to care at all about her failure to check her own measurements when ordering the shower doors to fit the tub-shower. So I wrote this review, which is a shame because they do have lovely items.

My wife and I recently completed our new home build with Foxbuilt in Old Iron Estates. From the…read moreoutset we were completely comfortable and unpressured by John Fox, his wife Lisa and the entire team. We were driving through the neighborhood and saw a model home that we liked and called John. He was very accommodating and met us at the house to show it. We came back several times with many questions and John was extremely patient, never pressuring us. Once we decided to go with Foxbuilt, John always went the extra mile. He returned phone messages and emails promptly and answered text messages at all hours. His wife Lisa guided us through the interior design. She quickly learned our "style" and met with us several times to walk us through the selection of finishes and colors. It was a bonus to be able to work with both of them throughout the process. Paul Fox, John's brother, oversaw the construction and was always happy to answer our many questions. The Foxbuilt team and their subcontractors adhere to the same high standards and it showed in their work. The attention to detail was comprehensive and no corner was cut. Our build began in late November and was finished ahead of schedule in late March. The comfort level that we felt after meeting John has stood the test of time. They continue to be receptive to any call or question we may have and truly strive for our satisfaction. My wife and I could not be happier with our home or the team we entrusted to build it. We would build again with Foxbuilt with absolutely no reservation and have recommended them to several of our friends. Deciding who to build with is not an easy decision but after spending time looking at several builders in the area we know that we made the right decision.

From concept and design to the finishes the process went smoothly. Their team of employees worked like a well oiled machine. Their communication was always open and they followed proper protocols even before Covid. The job was done on time and on budget. I can write a story about the whole process but its best to say I would hire them again. I definitely recommend FoxBuilt, Inc.
