Based on our needs we requested 2 appliance garages, a large countertop pantry cabinet, an integrated fridge and dishwasher, an island full of drawers--only drawers. The challenge of the project was to create an island that could support the open floor plan and was still functional and good looking. They succeeded. MHCC also designed a trash cabinet, a spice drawer and 4 other drawers with dividers, a cabinet with roll out drawers, a cabinet tower for microwave and wall oven. We wanted painted cabinets and John at MHCC helped us find the 2 perfect paint colors. We are very pleased with the amount of work space we have, the size of the island, the flow from work station to work station, the color scheme and quality of our sold maple cabinetry. I feel like 1 star is fair even though the marble countertops we got are beautiful, we had too many…read moreinstallation problems. The first one they fixed-it's not perfect, but I can live with it. (See pic). The second mistake was when they came back to install the backsplash. We paid $250 for a template so we could choose how it would look depending on how the marble was cut. When the installers came for the backsplash, they put the pieces in the wrong place, and had to make cuts in them. I told them they had it in wrong, but they wouldn't believe me. The seam was right in the most noticeable spot, when I was told, and the template showed, it was to be elsewhere. The installer told me to "just put something on front of it". Really? That's not the point, and maybe I don't want to. After REPEATED calls to the company, it's been over two months and I haven't heard back that they will make this right. They also overcharged me, and it took awhile, but they did give us our money for that. Believe the bad reviews and look for a different company.
