For Carsten I left a message but was pleasantly surprised when the actual plumber got back to me in just 30 minutes. Anyway, Chris arrived, diagnosed a silted up cartridge and faucet, cleared out the faucet himself and offered to replace the cartridge or just write down the part for me to buy and save $$. Less than an hour later I installed the cartridge and had a full pressure shower and faucet. Very cool. Next time in summer Chris was harder to schedule due to the busy season. I had a mystery ceiling leak. Again I called many other outfits and they wanted to send someone to give an estimate for $175 "service call fee" without actually fixing the problem. One even silently gave all my contact info to an immigrante guy with a "water moisture detector" who would somehow diagnose the leak remotely with his glorified dowsing rod. Anyway, I had to wait to get Chris again but he applied his experience, taking measurements etc and finally making a cut through cabinet ceiling to diagnose the issue definitively to corrosion in a drain line. Good stuff. Chris fixed the drain and best of all no unnecessary cuts or repairs were made to diagnose the leak. Well done.

When he was uninstalling the old water heater he noticed a gas line that had a small leak and replaced it for me with a new line. Installing the new water heater took a little over an hour and a half. However, despite me mentioning repeatedly to Nathan that my shower was American Standard both on the phone and in my text message, Nathan took one look and was like: "Yeah, I don't know. I don't do American Standard." I opened part of it for him and showed him where it was leaking, and he was like: "Yeah, you need a new part." I explained that I had already replaced these parts at the advice of another plumber and it still leaked, so could he take a look if something was wrong with the installation perhaps. He just said "No, I don't know anything about American Standard, so I don't want to touch it." He gave me a helpful recommendation of calling George Morlan, and they connected me to a company that will be here in two days, but that means another two days without a shower and we have to delay leaving on our anniversary trip on Thursday morning to let the new plumbers in. This could have been avoided if AACT Plumbing had told me they don't do American Standard when I told them over the phone AND in a text: "I need an American Standard diverter fixed".

We've had the fortune of Da Vinci's service a few times now. Once in an emergency when our pipes…read morefroze over, Kenney came over really quickly even when weather conditions made it pretty tough to get around the city. A while later, we had him install some outdoor spigots for irrigation for our garden that required punching into our drywall in the basement. They made sure the new lines had accessible shut off valves and even set it up in a way that made it easy to tuck away behind a cabinet door when the drywall was put back up. And they even found and fixed a bathroom exhaust fan venting when they were in there. Nice and clean! Also, they managed to install the spigots quickly and left the rooms just as clean as they were before work began once done. We've been using these for the a season and a half of gardening now, and they're working great. Lastly, we were having some trouble with a valve and they came over and fixed it in a minute (probably should have been able to figure out that one myself...) at no charge. If we have any need for plumbing help, Da Vinci's Best Plumbing is definitely who we're calling.

Since this is a rental house and we go through a property management company, we were not able to set foot on property while they were working. They tilted the fence back up in the one section that it was falling over, and other than that they did nothing. They left a big pile of trash for us to remove, and not to mention, THE GATE OF THE FENCE WONT EVEN SHUT NOW! I am so floored by the fact that we paid over $3000 to have two sections of a fence fixed, and because of the poor repair job, the fence now doesn't even shut. I really don't like giving small businesses poor ratings, but this was one of the worst jobs I have seen. ProFleet, you need to take better care of your customers.

update: Pro Plumb never filed permits for my job, as the city, as well as the minor label…read moredepartment have no record, and there is no permit minor label on the unit itself. Their negligence almost cost my family our lives. I will be filing a complaint with the CCB and the Better Business Bureau as well as the Oregon State Minor Label BCD. second update: pro plumb installed plastic concentric venting on a unit that requires metal concentric venting. They also cut the venting improperly. This is what caused the carbon monoxide. I had to have a second company come and completely redo their install, venting, gas lines, and replace the damaged unit which they installed. They still have not refunded me and continue to make up lies about me. ** installed a damaged unit, put my family at risk of carbon monoxide, left me without hot water for over a week ** They installed a rinnai tankless water heater less than six months ago. I repeatedly smelled gas and carbon monoxide and had issues with the water heater not putting out heat properly, and now it has started shaking violently. They said to call northwest natural. Northwest natural red tagged the unit for carbon monoxide leakage. 5 days later, Pro plumb came out to look at the unit, I was advised by pro plumb and by rinnai to contact a rinnai certified plumber to inspect the device. Jennifer told me the warranty would be long and that I would not have hot water, and that if i purchase another unit that they would install it for free. By now I have not had hot water for 6 days. The rinnai certified installer said that the gas line pro plumb was 1/2" instead of the required 3/4", the exhaust on the unit did not have an exhaust port, it only had an elbow which was causing carbon monoxide to enter the house. He also noticed that it was damaged and didn't look like a new unit. By now I have not had hot water for 8 days. When I contacted Jennifer at pro plumb she said the other plumber was just badmouthing them, and is very upset and angry with me that I would insinuate that there is a problem with their install, and insisted there was no damage on the hot water heater. When I asked her how the unit would be damaged on the rear of the unit facing the wall, she said she did not want to argue with me. She eventually hung up on me. I don't know when I will get hot water again, or when Pro Plumb will come out to fix the install.
