He then drove very fast & carelessly. The amount shown was $48 but he charged us $58. I asked why & he said because it was a van which did not make any sense as we had a ride a week before in a van with another taxi company & we were only charged $44. He was very rude when I asked him to explain & he repeatly said "it's a van". It was a terrible end to our long day after travelling for 18 hours. We placed a call to pick up a patron at our business ( we use your service for rides longer than 10 minutes ). After placing the call, the patron was outside waiting when two other cabs arrived to drop off some patrons. By the time your driver showed up , the fare was gone... the driver then told us to eff off !!! and drove away. Look.. yes we called your service.. but we can not and do not control the actions of our patrons. They see a cab , they jump in... we cant tell them its not their cab. Anyway... being told to eff off has left me with a bad experience and I will never call your service again for anyone- even if the patron requests it , I will tell them there are better cab drivers. I am a loyal Coop Taxi customer. I don't take taxis very often, maybe once or twice a month, but I…read moream pleased with their drivers. They have been consistently pleasant and laid back. It is rare that I have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes for a ride. All of the drivers have been safe and get me from place to place in one piece. If there are any areas for improvement, I would say it is with the app: It could be simpler and more user friendly. For example, when using the app you have to manually select a pickup location. When choosing the pickup location the interface is very sensitive and is frustrating to use at times. I would suggest having your pickup location selected automatically using your GPS signal. This would be very helpful. Otherwise I think the app is useful. Thanks, and keep up the good work, guys!

I had to go pick up a rental car at 5:00 p.m. for a trip, so I booked a ride in advance (did this…read morein the morning) for 4:40 p.m. because it was a Friday, and I knew it would be busy. This was more than sufficient time to get me there on time, and I got a confirmation with a flat rate of just over $14.00. I waited for about 5 minutes after they were supposed to arrive, and got a text saying that the cars had been switched from one to another, but that it was on its way. I thought this was strange, but I waited. At one point, when the cab was about 15 minutes late, I called. I was told they were on their way. And every time I called the number I was told it was 1 minute away. My partner finally called the driver, who said he was on his way. We didn't get in the cab and on the road until 5:05, so I had to call the rental company and make sure they knew I was going to be late so I didn't lose my reservation. The driver was just a barrel of excuses that it was busy, but that's why I booked ahead, to avoid the Friday afternoon rush hour wait. My partner had to tell him the address three times for him to get the address right - an address that I had already input with the prebooking program. Then, while driving, he waited unnecessarily at a red light in the wrong lane and bumped my fare up even more. The flat rate (supposed perk of booking in advance) seemed to disappear, and my fare of just over $14.00 turned to almost $20.00. My partner has tried to call Co-op, but their answering machines are full and no one will seem to pick up the phone for a customer service complaint. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've never been so angry with a service before, don't usually complain, never post reviews, and I hate getting that angry. I've seen so many other reviews like this one, and I would just tell anyone who asks to avoid Co-op at all costs. You will be kept waiting, bumped up in price by seemingly incompetent drivers and/or inconvenienced to the point of rage. Use Uber or another service.

When I finally convinced my mother it was time to retire her drivers license after years of…read morephysical problems this was one of the alternatives we found for her to get back and forth to work and the store. It used to be you called the number and could speak to one of the people that actually drove the bus to make your appointment but times have changed and the service is now subcontracted through city of Edmonton similar to what Leduc has going with the C Line. It was nice to be able to speak with the drivers because it generated a certain degree of accountability if the bus didn't show up on time or at all but the subcontracted service has brought more positive changes then bad ones. They call her with a little reminder the day before that she has a ride booked and the call center hours are extended later in case something last minute pops up that she wants to get out of the house for. The hours of service were extended on the weekend as well which gives her more opportunities to get out of the house for social activities. All in all it is a pretty solid service....in three years of using it the bus has only failed to show up once....wish we could say we got similar quality of service in Edmonton!
