I drove the hour and some to get there and when I pulled on the door the door was locked. an employee was in their vehicle leaving and asked if I needed help. I told them that I had a rental booked and I mentioned when booking I was going to be late. they said there is nothing they can do and told me to come back Monday and then the employee left. As we were sitting in our vehicle trying to call to see what we can do we seen another employee pull in and go in the bay door but would not open the door so we can talk to them. I don't understand how you can book a vehicle, say that you will be a bit late and be assured that it's fine but when you get there its all locked up. we ended up getting a rental from the airport but there was no mention of this location from the employee which would have been helpful as well. nope they just wanted to go home for the Easter Long Weekend. very disappointed and would not recommend this location to ANYONE!!

Our sincerest thanks to Rudy De Kort and his team, we could not have done this without their assistance! Rudy was extremely professional and dedicated. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, there was a lot of paperwork and permissions that needed to be obtained, and he worked with us and the Malaysian embassy every step of the way to prepare the necessary documentation. He was instrumental in organizing and arranging all aspects of the mission, from air to ground transport. Rudy made sure that my grandmother was well taken care of during the trip. We highly recommend Jet Companion to anyone who needs this service!

Counter service for check in and any other needs is always fast and friendly. While there are not a lot of amenities around, there are lots of delivery joints like Papa John's (total crap but that is for another review). The desk staff are happy to provide menus, just ask. Across the street is a Sheraton with a Ric's Grill which is ok. Walking there is a little crazy as there is little lighting in the evening and no sidewalks. There is a liquor store nearby as well. A trip into Leduc is easy enough with plenty good restaurants to choose from. The rooms are clean and well kept. If you have stayed in a Hampton Inn before, you will know they are consistent with decor, layout, and comfortable beds. The only drawback at this hotel is that (warning: rant about to begin) it has terrible television viewing. It is unfathomable to me, in this century, that basic cable is so hard to come by. This is a better than decent hotel and it cannot provide cable TV viewing that at least provides channels consistent with the channel guide. There are no sports channels available. The printed tv menu card is for show only. It is bizarre that the HGI about half a km east provides good tv viewing and sports channels. This may seem petty, but it annoys me enough to always try to stay at the HGI. The best part is that I complained and got a very heartfelt form letter from the GM assuring me that this was to be fixed. That was well before Christmas. Carried away you may say over a trifle? In my experience, it is small details like these and a failure to remedy them that hurts a business - especially when social media is so available to trash a business for this sort of thing. drops mike

But it's nestled into the river valley that you can't even tell you are minutes from the town of Devon. There are great long-term spots, week or just weekend but book early because the campground does fill up. You can cancel within 48 hours of your date with a small penalty so that's a nice option. The campground is close to the river and hiking trails so make sure to bring a swimsuit and boots in order to take in all the activities! I am surprised that living almost my whole life in Edmonton that I did not know of this campground…read more My friend decided to celebrate all 6 of our birthdays (past and future) for the year together (Las Vegas fell through), so this was her plan B. There was about 90 people coming (some camping and some just coming for the day). I was skeptical about any place accommodating that many people, but this place had a huge area. Rented a gazebo that had a mini kitchen with fridge and counters, as well as a huge fire pit in the middle, along with lots of benches. There is a big grassy field (and I mean BIG) to do lots of activity, as well as a small playground for the kiddies. You can either camp with tents or if you bring a trailer there is hook ups for water, power and toilet. And if you run of out supplies, you're practically in the town of Devon, so the grocery store is only about 3 minutes drive away. The biggest bonus is it being pretty much in the town of Devon, yet you feel like you're camping out int the mountains. As well, being only about 20 minutes from Edmonton (15 or so from Spruce Grove), you don't have to drive far. If people don't want to camp, they can just drop in for the day, lots of visitor parking.
