    Camarones enchilados para pelar
    Evelyn M.

Great semi hidden spot! Indoor and outdoor seating with friendly staff. If you're a fan of digging in with your hands the camarones enchilados para pelar are sooooo so good! They're about 6/10 on the spicy scale but come on a bed of cucumber to help cool down the burn. These camarones are unique and my absolute favorite. Get them with an agua de pepino and you're set for a good time. If you're coming with a group who isn't a fan of seafood eat here anyways then take them a half a black away to taco alley. But you can't pass this place up. It's a must every time I'm in TJ!

Came here based off of Yelp location and ratings. I honestly fell in love with the venue but the food is amazing. I ordered the Shrimp Citrus C-Biche, C-Biche Tulum, and Mazatlán Verde. I fell in love with the citrus c-biche. I had never had something like that before. So refreshing, delicious, and I felt like I had escaped into another world with the food, sounds, and venue. There is more seating in the back of the restaurants for larger groups and live music. My family loved this place and are returning next weekend. Thank you to all the yelper for their recommendations as well.

Waikiki Beach Ceviche With Jamaica and orange juice

This place is really good! Before heading out to the border, we wanted to eat our last local TJ meal. We ate filete Zarandeado that came with rice, refried beans, and salad. Then we tried three types of tacos: Acosta Azul, Taco Gobernador, and Taco Vallarta. We also had the Waikiki Beach Ceviche and oysters. The food was all amazing! My partner had the Clamato con Almeja (Scallops) which he commented that it had too many shells in it. Lastly, I had the Jamaica to drink. It was good! The street is really busy but they do have valet parking. You just come in front of the entrance and there will be a guy that will park your car.

Tacos de Pescado (beer battered fish tacos)

They say big things come in small packages. Well this venue proves it right. From the street you may think it's just a taco shack, but wait there is valet parking so it's gotta be something different than that. They have live music so the place may gets loud. Oh forgot to mention that the seating is outdoors, nice!! They have a huge patio in the back. Must try their "Black Beach" ceviche. Make sure you ask the server for a Caguama yes you see that right, that's a 32 ouncer! Or you can ask for a bucket of your favorite beer and they will put an ice chest next to your table and skip the bucket. Over all this venue is different than others and most certainly it makes you feel like at the beach. They also project any hot game or fight on their gigantic wall. I must say I recommend this place for any occasion.

Food and drinks at this place is soooo bomb!!!! It is definitely a MUST try when you're in TJ!!!!

Perfect spot right after eating tacos on the next street over. Quick to miss though. Got that Rosarito vibe.

Either way looked fast paced got people in n out so shouldn't be a wait. A bit loud inside with TVs and music playing. The food was pretty good I liked the cooked camarones they had the best and the mescal drink. The churros were nice nothing to crazy on flavor but presentation wise if fun and attention seeking so plus plus if you usually order fajitas and like the eyes on you. The jicama taco is pretty interesting fresh and taste great not a usual thing but good. Our server Gerardo Rodriguez was awesome the whole time he made sure we have everything we need and still check on us the entire visit

Villa Marina, has been on my Tijuana radar and I finally was able to make it happen. The magnet to…read moreget here, was that I recently discovered they were the only restaurant that was advertising Puerto Nuevo lobster. So I got there on my first evening, and that's what I ordered. It took about 40 minutes to get to the table, but once it arrived, it was beautifully presented cooked optimally. The portion seemed a little smaller than I expected (came in only one 600 gm size). The lobster that was split in half sat on a moist bed of Spanish rice, came with refried beans and freshly grilled vegetables. See my pictures. The freshly made thin tortillas were superb, but one had to be careful or they would dry soon. After you finish, they give you an apperetiv, in a small cylindrical crystal glass. Basically, think of it like Kahlúa with milk, vanilla and ice. It was fantastic. The chips and salsas that preluded the main order were also superb. It is rarely and not always, that I go back to the same restaurant when I'm on a short trip. On top of that the next day? Yes, here it had to be the exception. So this second time, I was here to try the fish soup (exceptional) and the grilled loin of red snapper. I've heard of a pork loin, a beef loin, but this was a first. The entree is a large portion. A thick, succulent, colorful, well charred and grilled portion of seafood, with firm texture and spicy taste. Service here was high class, on both occasions. Two exceptional and hard to forget dining visits, in Tijuana. Wow.

After a full day of serious self-care (doctor appointments, errands, and elite-level snack…read moreshopping), we arrived at El Puerto in Tijuana in the exact condition one should: hungry and slightly dramatic. First things first--the aguas frescas understood the assignment. Guava and cucumber were icy, fresh, and basically a reset button for the soul. My niece wanted something a little stronger - enter the fresa-kiwi mojito, which was refreshing enough to make her forget she had responsibilities earlier that day. The food? A seafood symposium: * My niece went with the filet al chipotle--tender, flavorful, and clearly the overachiever at the table. * My sister chose the tostada de pulpo, which was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and proof that octopus can, in fact, be a love language. * I handled a dozen oysters like a professional (and by professional, I mean zero regrets). * And my friend--who couldn't chew--casually asked if they could make breakfast... and they did. Enter: huevos rancheros, served without judgment and with full hospitality points. El Puerto is the kind of place where everyone gets exactly what they need--even if it's oysters, octopus, or breakfast at lunch. Great drinks, great food, and staff that actually listens. We came in tired, we left happy, hydrated, and slightly obsessed. Would absolutely return--preferably after more "self-care."
