In Sept of 2013 I purchased a sofa, love seat, recliner and 5 year warranty from Rooms and Rest of…read moreNew Ulm. Now, I was told by Lesa, my sales lady, that this warranty would cover everything, even sitting on the furniture with a knife in my pocket and cutting the furniture by accident. It was delivered in Nov of 2013. By late 2014/early 2015 the recliner started showing some cracking at the head of the back. By April 2016 I contacted Rooms and Rest and told them if my concerns. Natasha, the Customer Care Manager, had me call Montage Furniture Services, the company that offers the Protection Plan, which by the way cost $269.99. I was told that the protection doesn't cover the sort of damage that I was experiencing. So no one wants to claim responsibility. To me this is not normal wear and tear. This is a defect in a product that should be sustainable. The arms and seat of the chair are PERFECT, but the head, that is used way less, is the place that suffered the cracking and subsequently the shedding of leather. We have to put a towel up there when sitting in the chair unless we want to walk around with pieces of leather in our hair and on our clothes. I don't know what I'll get from this post and correct me if you think I am out of line. Actually don't. I'm so p@&#ed about the whole thing, I may chew you a new one. At the very least a PSA to all of you to beware of warranty and sales terms. Especially from #RoomsAndRest and #MontageFurnitureServices I won't be making any more purchases from them anytime in my lifetime.

I thought the merchandise was artfully displayed, and ranged from vintage signs, garden statuary, antiques, some shabby chic style items and architectural salvage. If I'd recently come into some money, I could have done some damage there. Ms. Mac's seems like the kind of shop I would want to pop into once a month or so to see what was new.

For the record, you can buy their fine comforters here in the Twin Cities... but then you'd miss a…read moreterrific opportunity to get out and see things for yourself! Brenda tirelessly answered all my questions and helped me pick out a comforter for our bed. I feel as if I purchased an heirloom, particularly since I can come back to get the wool re-carded for a fraction of the cost of comforter replacement. I placed an order and it was ready way sooner than I expected (about a week, really, or maybe less). Here's where I need to apologize, as COVID has turned me into a Yelp n00b. I TOTALLY FORGOT TO TAKE PICTURES! You'll have to trust me that the showroom is filled with all sorts of cool notions and supplies for quilter and other sew-y types. There are also woolen goods for purchase, like hats, socks and mittens. I enjoyed checking everything out while Brenda brought the comforter out for us. We've had the comforter for nearly a month and I love it! It's lofty and squishy and perfectly keeps the temperature comfortable without feeling like a ton o'blanket. As soon as I relocate to a home with more bedrooms, I'll be buying more comforters.

Mind you he has been in business 5 decades and was very proud of telling me so. Let me get this right he has been in business 50 years and quotes me 100 to 125 and then proceeds to jack up the price over 100% of his lowest quote and almost 100% of his highest quote. He did give me a Veterans discount of 21,69$ so what, he went above and beyond to take advantage of me. I highly recommend that you do NOT HAVE REPAIRS DONE THERE. Oh BTW he said my computer was different then any other, again really 50 years in the business and the is how you treat repeating customers.
