Within minutes, he diagnosed the issue, but unfortunately, the parts wouldn't arrive before closing time. That's when Chris went above and beyond. Seeing we were stranded in an unfamiliar town with three kids in tow, he personally drove us to a nearby Super 8. No hesitation, no fuss--just genuine kindness. He even recommended a few local spots to grab dinner, which turned out to be great. The next morning, right on cue at 9:30, Chris called to say our car was ready. Not only was the service fast and flawless, but the price was also incredibly fair--he could've charged more, but he didn't. Chris didn't just fix our car--he restored our faith in good people. I would recommend this shop! We felt so blessed to find the best in town right off the bat. We were handled promptly by an obviously experienced mechanic. He was kind, courteous, professional, honest and entertaining! He was reasonably priced and saved us! We were passing through town when our car broke down. Due to Covid everything was closed so we stayed the night. We found C&L online and called early the next morning. We told him we thought the alternator was out, he was out traveling to get parts for another car and while he was driving asked about the car, told me where to find the information he needed to check on parts and said he'd call me back. Shortly he called back and said he could get the part, explained he needed to finish the car he was working on, gave me a timeline. We met at his shop a bit later, he was ready for us, promptly checked the battery and found it bad. He called for parts (battery and alternator) and parts arrived very quickly. He put the battery in then tested the alternator and found it bad as well. He began work and we were fixed and on the road early afternoon. I can't say enough good things about our experience. We arrived in Childress, Texas with a busted shackle strape on the springs of our 36ft. RV. Chris took a look and and within an hour had us on the road again.
