A Lifesaver on Our Journey Home!…read more On our way back from a family vacation, we hit a bump in the road--literally. Around 5 PM, our car started vibrating, and with daylight fading, we needed help fast. My wife quickly found C & L Auto on Google, and the glowing reviews gave us hope. We pulled in, unsure of what to expect. Enter Chris--a true professional and an even better human being. Within minutes, he diagnosed the issue, but unfortunately, the parts wouldn't arrive before closing time. That's when Chris went above and beyond. Seeing we were stranded in an unfamiliar town with three kids in tow, he personally drove us to a nearby Super 8. No hesitation, no fuss--just genuine kindness. He even recommended a few local spots to grab dinner, which turned out to be great. The next morning, right on cue at 9:30, Chris called to say our car was ready. Not only was the service fast and flawless, but the price was also incredibly fair--he could've charged more, but he didn't. Chris didn't just fix our car--he restored our faith in good people. If you're ever in the area and need auto help, C & L Auto is the place to go. Five stars aren't enough!

It was already an emotional trip, when midway through our travels, we unexpectedly heard a pop in the engine, the vehicle started running hot, and we ended up stranded on the side of the road in 103° heat with no family or friends anywhere nearby. I called the local U-Haul location while trying to figure out what to do, and they referred me to Hills Motors Towing. That is when I met Jeremy, the owner/operator. I can honestly say I have never met a more family-oriented, customer-service-focused business owner. Jeremy agreed to pick us up and tow us, and he arrived within under 30 minutes. Once he looked at the vehicle, he was able to quickly identify the likely issue. Even more impressive, he had the knowledge, experience, and parts inventory available to get us taken care of right there. Within about two hours, he had my family and me fixed up and back on the road. The pricing was more than fair, so much so that I felt compelled to leave a tip. I cannot thank Jeremy and the team at Hills Motors Towing enough for what they did for my family when we were complete strangers in a difficult situation. Words truly cannot express our gratitude. I highly recommend them to anyone needing towing or auto service in the Childress area.

We didn't even know how we were going to get it somewhere to get it fixed. We found Jim's Auto Repair and thought, Jim sounds like a nice guy who can probably fix anything. Fortunately we had a reprieve in brake locking and made it to his shop. He dropped all he was doing to take a look at it, and ended up spending 30 minutes with my husband, and some of his guys, just trying to figure out how to get us home. After some collaboration and scoping out the system, he found a way and off we went! He was a life saver! He spared us so much time getting home, much grief in having to leave it in Quanah to get it fixed and then returning to pick it up weeks later, and made our day, and the end of the trip, memorable because of his kindness. He was all about helping a person, and not all about the money. Thank you Jim! You really did so much for us, and saved us days of worry, money and frustation!
