I clearly described access to my tank and they were able to quote the same over the telephone & in-person price. I found the 2 techs friendly & they provided good info on system maintenance. They neatly put back the little bit of grass around the tank lid they had to remove to access the lid. Also...I would ignore that other guy with the negative review about price change. If your tank lid is buried, & significant effort has to go into just accessing the lid before any pump out work can be done & you don't tell Bulldog that, then charging more for the time & to dig it out is reasonable. I will use Bulldog for my future septic pump out needs.

I had my septic tank pumped. They did a good job, but they severely under-quoted me how much it…read morewould cost. I was quoted $425 plus a "possible $100 digging charge if they have to dig more than 12 inches down". So my family and I went out there and dug out one whole opening, about 11" down. Turns out they need 2 openings, plus they changed their digging charge policy. According to the receptionist, the policy just changed to "If they have to dig at all, it's $100". So just be aware. $100 to dig a few scoops of dirt SEEMS high to me, but what do I know. My average sized home has a 1,250 gal. tank, and apparently such a tank can hold 1500 gallons, because they charged me $150 more for 500 extra gallons pumped. So all in all, I paid $675 when I expected to pay $425. A bit of a sticker shock. Would I recommend them? Maybe, but just know that they under-quote you. I paid over 50% more than I expected. You WILL have to add the $100 digging fee, and unless you're living in a 1 bedroom trailer, your tank will be more than the $425 standard fee for "up to 1,000 gallons". I'm not going to be ridiculous and give them 1 star or some nonsense. They get 3 stars. They did a good job on the pumping. But I honestly think the owner(s) have a lot to learn about business, customer service, and human psychology. Who likes to pay more than they expected? If you need more than $425 for a pumping, just raise your price. But don't play games. $100 for a bit of digging is ridiculous. Don't hold out hope a person can escape that massive charge, if you want that $100 every time you come out. Just be up-front about how much you want for your service.

I wish to share good news regarding the experience I had with ME Plumbing in Seguin. My problem appeared simple. My second home in Luling had a sewer back-up. I examined my choices for the surrounding area and I contacted ME Plumbing as it appeared they are large enough to take on most any job but small enough not to have lost the personal connection with customers. We discussed the job and they quoted me a price. The price was "not the cheapest money can buy" but, my past experience is you get what you pay for. I feel I can speak on this subject with some authority as I am an Engineering graduate from Texas A & M University with 13 years experience at the General Motors Corporation and 30 years as a Senior Facilities Engineer at a semiconductor plant in San Antonio. Yes I was responsible for overseeing many contracted skilled trades including electricians, carpenters, pipe fitters, and plumbers. I wish I knew about ME Plumbing then! My simple 2 day job turned into a 10 day ordeal and I am glad I had ME Plumbing on my side. They brought additional equipment, additional man-power; all the time with a smile on their face and great sense of humor. Once the job was completed I tried to discuss how much the overage would be since the scope of work increased. THEY WOULD NOT HEAR OF IT! I paid what I was quoted. If you need plumbing work of any scale; do not pass on contacting ME Plumbing - a firm still doing business like it should be done.
