G M Hardwood Floor - Swirl marks because of not sanding properly

    G M Hardwood Floor

Unfortunately I have to write this review because of the end result in dealing with GM hardwood…read moreflooring. I hired GM hardwood flooring to lay all new hardwood floor on my second level and also sand and stain my entire new home. The total job was $14,000. First time the job was completed it was done in a rush and my kitchen ended up a mess (I will include pictures of everything) when Genezio and I spoke about re doing the work that I paid $14,000 for, he stated that he knew it wasn't done properly and agreed to doing the project over. Once he came back and sanded again to re do everything all over again, the sanding wasn't done right and neither was the color. He stated to me that he didn't recall the formula used. How does a supposed professional not write down the formula used? So now I was stuck with floors that weren't sanded down to an even surface so that stain would absorb evenly as well as trying to pass a totally different color for my upstairs and downstairs. Needless to say I ended up having to sue GM hardwood flooring because it's no surprise he took the money and ran and left behind his terrible work. I reached out one dozen times to work with him. Even stated I would expect all of my money back minus any products used if he could produce a valid receipt. Text messages viewed and time stamped but no response. I was left no choice but to sue him. My brand new house was ruined. I had to hire another company to come to my home and do the job correctly the first time and pay them $11,000. GM hardwood flooring doesn't care about the person, their hard earned money or their workmanship clearly because this is how he left my house. The company who did the job correctly did an amazing job and did it right. Water treated the wood first before staining it. GM hardwood flooring DOES NOT DO THE JOB CORRECTLY. Please be aware of this company. Wants to be in and out and grab your money!

Everything was covered, and I was amazed how clean the house was when it was done. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of dust, but they took great care of our home. We highly recommend Luxe Flooring based on the experience we had. They were so professional and respectful of our home and our time.

I highly recommend Luxe Flooring - they are very knowledgeable and skilled craftsman, excellent communication with Max, and very reasonable cost. I'll go into a bit more detail here: My wife and I wanted to put new bamboo wood floor on our second floor to match the downstairs bamboo we already have. The project included a curved staircase that doubles back to a landing, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Luxe was the second flooring company we got a quote with. After reaching out to the highest rated Yelp flooring company in our area we wanted to get a second opinion. Max was better in every way. During the initial estimate Max took much more time to go into detail about all the work he would be taking care of and asked us questions to help him come up with an appropriate and detailed quote of all the labor and materials required. The other company didn't ask many questions and once we spoke with Max from Luxe, we felt so much more relaxed feeling that we were going to be in good hands. To top things off, Max's estimate was a bit lower than the other and his quote really broke down the cost so we could see it all and it made sense. It was a no brainer for us to choose Luxe and we were able to get started just a week and a half later. Max was very responsive in the lead up to the project and we kept in touch via text/call to go over all the details as he ordered the materials. He made excellent recommendations for the vinyl flooring in the bathroom which is much better quality than the one that was originally in the bathroom. And the bamboo flooring was a very close match to the floors we already have downstairs. Max's team was incredibly hardworking. They showed up right on time every morning, took a short break for lunch, and cleaned up before they left each day. Our project took six days to complete which was seemed very reasonable for the difficulty of our house. We live in a very old house and none of the walls are squared off so it took many complicated cuts to get everything aligned perfectly. And it all was. The stairs were even trickier since they wrapped around back to the top landing and the stairs seemed to take the longest. They look fantastic. If Luxe Flooring is available to work with you, I absolutely recommend hiring them for your flooring job. You will not be disappointed.
