The building is large so they have plenty of space for plenty of product. They offer one of the biggest selections of craft beers in the area. That includes Shebeens, Thimble Island, Stony Creek, Two Roads, Nebco and more! I have 3 liquor stores closer to my house and I will personally drive the extra 7 minutes to go to Mountain Top. The prices are competitive too, even with the increase of business due to COVID (no noticeable price increases). The staff is always very helpful. One time I had a housewarming party and bought a bunch of different beers they even gave me a deal for how many I was buying. Much appreciated. I never need to try to find something because the store is setup very clear and logical. Seasonal displays that I've boughten from have always been well stocked and never empty. I highly recommend Mountain Top to anyone and everyone! Put them at the TOP of your local liquor store list.

I sampled the -196 Beam Vodka Seltzer by Suntory. It's a wonderful tasting product w fresh fruit not artificial. originated in Japan and is here now. Only 2 grams of sugar and has 6% alcohol volume. You need to try it if you haven't yet. Wonderful product to take the beach or pool area. Their selection of beer is very impressive. They have the regulars, along with a lot of micros. Plenty of variety for any of your likes. The store itself is rather large with a good selection of beer, wine and spirits. Prices are competitive. They have Frank who does tastings in the store who can help you find something or answer questions. Plenty of parking available.

Clean and organized more so than Sav-rite in north haven. If you had to decide between the two stores, take the ride to Cheshire and frequent this place. Which is exactly why I found myself scuffling into City Cellars, my "local" liquor store (aka the only one within walking distance to my home) on a random Saturday night. This place has a decent enough selection, including some local brews, to be passable as a go-to for your alcohol fix. But the clientele leaves much to be desired. I don't know, there's something about standing next to customers who stumble from aisle to aisle, reek of booze, and pull out wads of $1 bills that doesn't put me at ease. Even the store owner (half) jokingly belted to those making a ruckus behind me in line, "Hey! No laughing in my store!" For the next closest (and a far better) alternative, I would suggest the liquor store in the Park Plaza Shopping Center across Park St from Pope Park.
