Outside the beer case are a variety of wines and bubblies, including canned wine and individual champagne bottles (good for campers like us). There's a moderate selection of spirits, and a few fun novelties up front (moonshine time!). This is a really great place to go for local craft beer in the Middletown area. They aren't…read moreHarvest, for sure, but they are leaps and bounds above CT Beverage Mart for a variety of reasons. Their beer is all refrigerated and by and large, it's fresh. Maybe it's not the widest selection, but by area standards, they are doing pretty well. This shop always has something new to try, and the prices are also more reasonable than most of the other beer stores. If I'm looking for a fresh, cold local beer, this is the best place to go besides either Harvest (which is very inconvenient) or an actual brewery. My recommendation to the shop would be to perhaps revamp the exterior and signage to make it look less like a hole in the wall liquor store. I mean, it is a hole in the wall, but it's also one of the best beer shops in the vicinity.

Quick and convenient, centrally located in Berlin, prices are admirable for a local business. I'll let you put 2 and 2 together. Anyway, I'm HOPING I totally misread the situation. I also got some nips to drink on the way home... KIDDING... I was headed to a party. Still kidding. I have been a long time customer (mostly via delivery). This…read moreweek I did not receive my entire delivery. When I received my order I immediately checked it and realized a $20 item was missing. By that time the driver had pulled away. Right away, I called Forest City to explain, and I asked if they could contact the driver? The woman on the other end was so defensive and rude. She yelled over me "we've delivered to you before, we know your order!". I was mindful about never blaming them, because I honestly felt the driver just accidentally left part of my order in the car. I calmly told her that I know it must be the drivers error. Can we contact him? I also said "I just want to receive what I paid for". Her response was to hang up on me!!!!! A minute later she called me back and yelled at me that the reason she hung up was because I asked "too many questions" (Um... I only asked if she could contact the driver??) and told me she had to hang up because she had "real" customers in front of her and "didn't have time to talk to me". She hardly let me get a word in. I stayed calm and quiet and let her rant about how "they have cameras" blah blah blah. In the end I told her I would just never shop there again. That seemed to offend her, so I politely ended the call and said "good night" A $20 error us not worth my energy, but her horrible customer service lost her a long term customer.
