It was not an easy task, as my windows were caked with salt, (we are 3 houses from the ocean). They donned booties over their shoes when entering the house, moved furniture away from the windows, then neatly restored anything they moved, working consistently, respectively and quietly. His service is very reasonably priced. I was happy to tip Tim and pay more than what he quoted. I've made a note to call Tim next spring for a repeat service!

Frankly, I hadn't realized how much gunk can accumulate on clapboards and cedar planks. The deck looks almost brand new, the house is brighter and the windows --- oh my gosh, THE WINDOWS --- are sparkling! Justin is wonderful. Professional, thorough and very good at what he does. His crew were polite (they put special booties over their boots to keep my floors clean) and efficient. It was a pleasure to have them here. I looked for cleaning help for my father who is in his late 60's and lives alone, and also works…read morefull time. Although he picks up after himself, like anyone in his situation it got to a point where he could benefit from help. There are certain detail tasks like dusting, baseboards, scrubbing the bathroom, and vacuuming under furniture, that can create a less-than-ideal environment if they build up. I came to visit from out of state and realized that it would be better if someone could help. That said, my father was hesitant about having strangers in his home -- it was more important than anything else for me to find a cleaning service that was bonded and insured (if anything broke, and/or if someone got hurt, it was important for the cleaning company to have all responsibility, not my father). Shore Clean fit the bill as a bonded and insured company, who had that in writing. Before deciding which service to use, I researched all the cleaning agencies around where he lives (Central NJ) by checking every review site, and I also looked at their websites to learn more about their services in detail. Shore Clean seemed to include some tasks in their services that others did not, and also they seemed to have just about 100% positive, detailed feedback on every site. Then I called and talked with the owner, Bill. Their prices were fair compared with anyone else considering the number of hours and workers they sent. The owner also preferred to send a manager the first time with a new client at a new house. It was easy to book the appointment -- he called me back personally within an hour or so of my message, and I had a quote in front of me shortly after that, and we scheduled for two days later. He answered all my questions. Now onto the cleaning. The two very polite and hardworking young women stayed beyond the expected time (without additional cost) to make sure everything was perfect. I have never, ever, ever seen my father's house so sparkling. You should have seen his facial expression. They cleaned better than I could have. Every single detail from top to bottom was cleaned. Every nook and cranny. I asked for the extra "fridge cleaning" and the inside of his fridge was not only sparkling but organized (well worth it). As one example of what they did, I never thought it was possible for the toilet and bathtub to look white instead of having a tint to them on the inside. Both looked white like new when the cleaners were done. Every major piece of the house was thoroughly cleaned: unreachable tops of furniture dusted, crevices between furniture, everything. Also literally every picture frame, collectible, and item was dusted. I was amazed. It was like a new house. I can't even describe how every centimeter of the house was cleaned. It's obvious that having a clean home will improve the quality of my father's life. My next task is to set up regular cleanings. I'm grateful for the amazing job that Shore Clean did and I would recommend them to anyone for the high quality and professionalism of their service.

You know how when you're like 9 and a half months pregnant and you just bought a house and it's…read morefilthy and you feel overwhelmed at the prospect of cleaning it yourself so you think "throw some money at the problem and call it a day" and then you throw $700 at the problem and in the following days your mom is the one cleaning your oven and your standing at a wall scrubbing off dried boogers left from previous tenant's kids and your husband is wiping down super dusty light fixtures and cobwebs in cor and there's still random bug droppings in corners and kitchen drawers and you think "damn I threw all that money at this problem and it's still somehow my problem"!?!? I'm not saying the house wasn't 50-60% cleaner, because technically it was. I'm not saying I lied about how dirty it was to begin with, I specially said the word "filthy" when requesting a quote. What I am saying is I told everyone at the company I spoke to that I understand it's a big job and I am happy to pay more to have cleaners stay longer and get this job done so I don't have to stress it. Here I am stressing it. There is literally nothing in the house but walls and floors, no furniture and no carpet, yet somehow they didn't have time to clean the hardware on cabinet fronts or even clean inside the cabinets themselves. Or the light fixtures, or the face plates on half the light switches and electrical outlets or the big clumps of dust and dog hair hanging off the edges of the cabinet bases. In summation! No I'm not satisfied, no I would not recommend and no I definitely won't use them again.
