I'm just updating my review as I was the person who added Charlie and McLean Auto Service to Yelp!…read more We all go to Yelp looking for advice for a good restaurant etc., and trust people's recommendations and feedback. I use it often and trust the real feedback from people in the area. So to all my fellow yelpers, let me tell you, if you are looking for an honest mechanic who treats your car like his own, look no further! I moved to Woodlawn and was looking for a mechanic to take care of my car. An old man told me he is going to send me to a mechanic and he is so good, I will be going to him 20 years from now. Well, I went to Charlie on this man's recommendation and I have been with him close to 30 years! Everyone searches for a great doctor well this man is like finding a great doctor for your car! Since the first time I walked through his shop, I knew I was in good hands and I wouldn't go to any other mechanic in the area other than Charlie and his crew! The customer service and warm welcome you receive is second to none. He is honest and only does what is necessary for the car and nothing more! He will tell you what car to buy to keep costs down with regard to repair and just a fantastic man. There's not many people who ooh and ah over there mechanic, but I do! I have sent dozens of my friends and family to him down through the years and they all swear by him and send their friends and family! Charlie builds race cars and also teaches mechanics and this man knows what he's talking about! There you have it! there is my genuine honest review and If you heed my advice, I know you will thank me for sending you there as everyone else has!!

Was drivable, but were were nervous with a four hour leg ahead of us. They searched for new and used options, and didn't have a perfect fit. Joe was off to ravioli dinner with his mom and Vic to his adult kids. They took care of us like they knew us for years... even after they learned we were from Boston! Many thanks my friends in Yonkers.

I called for an update at 5pm and was told they'd get back to me. They close at 6pm. I headed over there anyway. She calls at 5:45pm to say the work is done. They took care of another customer while waiting on me and then told me my car was around the block. I got to the car and the engine was still warm. I will be bring it to another mechanic to see if they replaced the horn with a new one. This place is a big No for me.
