I dropped my items off on a Tuesday afternoon and they were ready two days later. I will return, though I noticed that their daily specials have been reduced quite a bit when compared to earlier former promotions (i.e. 5% off for shirts on Tuesdays and pants on Wednesdays, when before it was a 20% discount...). Be sure to bring your invoice at pick-up to ensure a smooth process.

It's hit or miss with this cleaners. Sometimes my clothes SEEM cleaned and others times, it's is clear they simply pressed them without cleaning. Pressing is also hit or miss. When a redo is requested, the garment returns looking as if nothing was done. And, the clothes never smell "clean." They either don't have a smell or a slight scent of a cleaner used to mask an uncleaned garment.

Excellent professional and prompt service for a honest price. Great environment too, everyone was very friendly and nice to talk to. Felt very homey. I brought in a wool varsity jacket to have cleaned up and to repair a tear in the stitched graphic on the back. The repair was nearly perfect and there was only a small section of the inside lining that was stitched into (the color match was perfect too). I went on the internet to find a place to do alterations to my work pants. I read the read the reviews for C. Alexander's Cleaners which were very good and plus it wasn't to far for me. I said, "No, you have hemmed many of my pants and you know I do not like them that long." I asked again if I could try them on and show her. She said "No, it doesn't matter. I don't make mistakes. YOU must be the problem." She refused to even look at the pants, so I left. BEWARE! I have taken my alterations to Shockoe Bottom Cleaners with a total of ~15 pairs of pants to be hemmed over the past 18 months. I chose them because they are close to work. I have never had a problem with them prior to this week - they are usually very nice, as I am a regular. I feel a true measure of a store's integrity is how they view customer service and if/how they try to please their customer. I am a regular (they know me by face) and they still refused to treat me with respect. It is a shame because now they have lost me as a customer. (I cannot speak on behalf of their dry cleaning services, although they seem reliable.)
