My 2 year old son has had his stomach pumped because of the lack of caution in his dairy ALLERGY(not intolerance) and feedings. I received a call to pick him up immediately because of his vomiting after eating barbecue chicken. Took him to the doctor and had his stomach checked. They found cheese. When confronting the new owner/director I was told 'he must've gotten the cheese pizza from another child's plate.' How disgusting. No empathy for my child's SAFETY. HE COULD HAVE DIED. 'Teachers' and 'Care Takers' are ever changing at ASKA. You can not get used to one face or new name for too long! If your child is injured- you may OR may not get an incident report sent home about it. You'll just find open wounds and get a story from your child about it(if your toddler is expressive). And when you ask the DIRECTORS, they either can't find the report or don't have one on hand. They explain that it will be sent home with the child at the end of the day... yup, you guessed it, it never shows. Bleach. Both of our children came home with a small fortune of clothes damaged from bleach. When I confronted the owner/director about it -- I was given $50 off of the following payment coming up. I asked for the money because I had to replace clothes. I even brought the receipts to the school AND sent them in an email. How inconsiderate to only offer a kickback on a payment far less than what I pay for each of my kids to attend. Children's clothes are expensive. Bullying. My daughter was bullied for about a month. I had no knowledge from the staff that it was the same student repeatedly scratching her face up or tearing and stretching her clothes. My daughter told me. And when we had a 'sit down' with the staff and director(after the 3rd mark on her body), I was told that if something happens again the student would be removed from the facility. Why does it take so long? We've had our children in ASKA for years. That clearly meant nothing. Graduation. We had our daughter attend the Pre-K program here because we didn't want to take her from her friends that she's been with since age 2. Ms. Williams was the absolute best teacher I've experienced at this facility. She's solely the reason the kids can read and write. I honestly hope she goes somewhere she's appreciated and cherished on school staff. Graduation was INTERESTING at ASKA. They don't want your kids to dress up. We were asked to put them on a white shirt and blue slacks(girls included). Our children were provided T-Shirts. No caps and gowns. When I asked the owner/director about this gray area she explained that the state doesn't pay for it so they will not honor it. What a waste of a title for a 'Private School'. Newsflash-- 'Nice' new ownership is not the same as courteousness ownership. My children's tuition is always paid AHEAD of time. In full. This is trashy treatment from a place that truthfully charges a lot for the area and calls themselves a 'Private School'. We can not wait for our son to start Preschool and continue Pre-K at another facility. The new family ownership is nice... but their negligence in dealing with the children attending, as well as their unsafe practices with the use of chemicals during the day leads me to believe they may not be in business long unless they change their policies and acts. Take your children somewhere else. Cause we most definitely did.

The school just seems to offer everything: exceptional academics (several recent alumni are at Harvard among other impressive schools), a supportive community, a safe environment, and a competitive athletic program. And I can't say enough positive things about the teachers. After 6 years I am so fond of each teacher every year. They ALL genuinely love the kids and their workplace - it makes for such a happy environment. Any time I have ever had a concern, the teachers and administration have been very receptive and welcoming. Yes, there is a good bit of homework. But it seems to be practical and never busy work. The teachers have high expectations from the students and I appreciate that. I am paying a lot of money for my kids to be well prepared for college. Yes, it is a faith-based school. Catholic, in fact. The kids are taught respect, discipline, spirituality, honesty and integrity. And for the students who are not Catholic, I have seen them treated very respectfully. Just like anything, you get out of it what you put into it..... This school thrives on parent involvement. There is a very active Parent Volunteer Association which plans events all throughout the year - for students, teachers, and families. It's a great way to get to know other parents and kids. Parents are always welcome on campus at any time during the day. I feel so grateful to have found this school but what really matters is how happy my kids are because of this school. This is a very long, honest and detailed review…read more My kids went to this daycare from June 2016 thru July 2018. I loved this daycare initially and recommended it to everyone. Around July 2017 the daycare came under new ownership and from that point on I had nothing but issues. The new owners care nothing for your child's well being and only care about money. There were always pay issues. There was rarely a time when my billing was correct and I would have to tell the staff multiple times to correct the issue. I was constantly overcharged. They overcharged me once by $2.50 and had the nerve to charge me a late fee on top of it when I didn't pay the incorrect balance. They fired their cook (I guess to save money) and started feeding the kids junk food. I walked in one morning and they were feeding the kids pop tarts and applesauce for breakfast. That is not breakfast. That is sugar. When I asked about it I was told the cook was on "vacation" (a vacation she never returned from) and that pop tarts were in fact a menu item. I'm not paying y'all over 2 grand a month for pop tarts. The turnover rate w teachers was very high and many of the teachers had no business being in childcare. They were only there for a check. I saw issues on the cameras that I brought up to the owner and he basically brushed me off and refused to show me the cameras. All of the original teachers from when my children started were fired and the new teachers were trash. No one lasted more than a few months because the teachers didn't like the owners. My daughter's class had 3 teachers but somehow everyday when I arrived at the daycare her face was dirty and her diaper needed to be changed. After the children woke up from nap time, the teachers wouldn't change them anymore for the day. They would just turn the iPads to YouTube videos and sit the children in front of it until the parents came to pick them up. They care nothing about your child's health. My son was bit 43 times by fire ants at the daycare and the daycare showed no remorse or care and didn't bother w getting the yard treated. I told them my son was severely allergic to fire ants and gave them his epipen and the owner told me he needed to "double check" if fire ant allergies were real . My son ended up having another episode where he was bit due to them not treating their yard but no one from the daycare informed me that my son was bit by fire ants that he's know to be ALLERGIC TO. When I brought it up to the owner she stared at me. They never even wrote an incident report. My child was bitten by another child multiple times and they never sent an incident report about that either. My son even told the owner himself that the child bit him. And the owner ignored him not realizing I was watching. When I asked him about it he said he was unsure of what my son was saying. I told him my son was holding his arm and saying "he bit me". It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Every issue I had w the daycare I brought up w he front desk and the owners personally and I never felt that my concerns were taken seriously. I started looking for a new daycare for my children a few months before actually removing them but was unable to thoroughly vet centers after this horrific experience due to my school and work schedule but I am thankful now to have found a center that I can trust and feel more comfortable leaving my children. I initially loved this daycare and had hopes that things would turn around but unfortunately they never did. The positives to this daycare were it's location, size, the fact that it is a lot newer than other centers and the camera access. However, until there are owners and staff in place that care about your children and can be trusted this place should be avoided at all costs.

There were multiple occasions where I picked her up, and she looked completely defeated and unhappy. When I asked how her day went, she would respond with only "okay," offering no details. After sitting her down to talk, she admitted, "My teachers are just really mean and yell at us all the time. I don't like going to school." As a parent, this was heartbreaking. School should not only be a place to learn and grow but also a safe environment where children feel nurtured and cared for. Parents place tremendous trust in teachers, and when that trust is broken, it has lasting effects. No one should take on the responsibility of teaching if they do not have the patience, compassion, and genuine care required to guide young children. My daughter was terrified to start Kindergarten because of this experience. Thankfully, she quickly realized not all teachers are the same. She now has a wonderful teacher who shows kindness, encouragement, and patience--everything a young child deserves. She wakes up excited every morning, eager to learn and share about her day, and it has completely restored her love for school. These are the educators who deserve recognition and appreciation--not those who treat children as an inconvenience or are "just there for a paycheck."

We chose Montessori at Emory because of the beautiful, spacious and new facility and the loving, educated AMI certified teachers. Now- my tour of Scott Blvd Montessori was a different story. While we waited for someone to let us in the front door EVEN THOUGH I had an appointment (which they never did because no one was overseeing the front desk from 3:15-3:40, a parent coming to pick her child up finally let us follow her in- completely dangerous btw), I witnessed something on the playground that made my decision not to send my daughter to Scott Blvd M immediate and definite. I watched a toddler teacher who I can only describe as uneducated and dare I say, ghetto, scream at this kid, forcing her to sit facing the fence, yelling unintelligibly repeatedly . It was unprofessional and unnecessary. I couldn't believe staff is allowed to talk or discipline children that way, and certainly couldn't believe this was occurring outside for anyone who walks up the front door to hear. So sad- I hope that kid's parents wise up soon. I took the tour that followed to be polite. The teacher was nice, the classrooms were NOT! These were the worse montessori classrooms I saw on all of my tours. Only a few activities that are unique to montessori schools allowed to identify the classroom as such- otherwise, it seemed bare and unwelcoming. The children there were sitting in a circle doing NOTHING at 3:45, and furthermore, Scott Montessori is not AMI certified yet. In effect, this place came off as a public aid daycare- not a private Montessori school. 1 star for Scott Blvd Montessori.
