Such a warm and inviting childcare center! I enjoy the atmosphere that is present as soon as you enter the building.

This is absolutely the worse daycare center in the world. They do not properly supervise children…read more I removed my daughter when she started coming home with unexplained bruises and cuts just about everyday. My daughter kept telling me that the director's granddaughters were the ones who were mostly hitting, kicking, biting, and scratching her. She told me she would tell the teacher and they would do nothing. I didn't want to believe it, but witnessed it for myself on at least two mornings. The first morning, one of the granddaughter started kicking my daughter so hard and all my daughter kept saying was "Ouch" over and over again. The teacher said nothing nor did anything. I questioned her about that and she said that the director told them to get her when her grandchildren did anything wrong. The problem with that is the director is always on vacation and when she is there she removes them from the classroom, take them to the front with her and they are allowed to play up front while she feeds them special snacks. In other word, she reinforces the negative behavior. The second morning, I seated my daughter away from the little girl and she tried to kick her, but her foot could not reach her. So, she decided to pick the blueberries out of her cereal and throw it at her. The teacher left the room and told the grandmother/director who just happened to be popping in. The grandmother came in and took the cereal away from her granddaughter. She did nothing to address the behavior. What is even more disturbing is the fact that the little girl felt so comfortable doing these things to my daughter with me standing there. I can only imagine what they do when I was not around. The director and her staff are incapable of speaking or writing grammatically correct, but yet they are entrusted with educating young children all the way up to PreK. The school culture is very violent and aggressive. You walk in and children are hitting each other. One day one of her granddaughters took a children's dictionary out of another student's hand and hit her over the head with it. The student began to cry. I told the director and she told me that she could not deal with that right now because she is was taking a required training on the computer. They do not serve the children nutritious meals. For an entire week, the children had 1/2 of a Pop Tart and applesauce for breakfast. While they prepared an entirely different breakfast for her grandchildren because they didn't want what the others were having. One day for lunch, they had a slice of bread, sausage patty, and carrots. They never serve what is posted on the menu. In fact, it is the same menu every week. They never take it down. They do not properly supervise the children. They do not follow Bright From The Start protocol. The facility is dangerous. There is no security and no one is ever at the front desk to monitor visitors. Anyone can walk in the building. It is not uncommon to see toddlers wondering the halls all by themselves. Before enrolling your child, please check the Bright From The Start website to review all of the reported complaints and violations. Keep in mind that there are a lot more that are not reported.

I waited for my daughter to heal prior to leaving a review. I was told a lie which I fell for and…read morepaid a higher amount than my previous childcare from the beginning that they were installing cameras and that the administrative staff could see recordings of and not the parents. I had a few issues that I addressed while there. My daughter came home with a soaked pull-up. I mean completely soaked as if she sat in a pool of urine all day and was never changed. She ended up with a horrible diaper rash from it. Another situation which is the one that ended her childcare was when she came home with two fingers burned and blistered. Keep in mind she was at daycare a full day on both days. When addressed I was asked did I have a flat iron. Smh I have a recording showing I didn't use one myself when I left home the day before and the day off. Both situations they advised that they would investigate and made excuses for. Both times there was an excuse, apology and promise nothing else would happen. Now granted the first incident they provided a week free. When there was an error with my payment taking the amount twice and when my child kept getting sick every other week because her classmates stayed sick they provide a free week. Oooh let's not forget when they sent her home with feces all up her back and coming out of her pull-up. I had to toss out her entire car seat as I didn't catch it when she got into the car. Yet we only drove straight up the street to the store from childcare that day. I've offered to assist with assisting with observation and operational outlines of better instructions of care as that's what I'd do for a living. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt as everywhere childcare has been unacceptable. But my three year old partially non verbal (preemie) came home with burned fingers was my last straw. I called bright from the start in which based off the convo I KNEW she could not go back. Now it has placed me in a bind with work and childcare as this was another inconvenience. But because they don't know how she was burned I have a fear now of her going to child care because NOBODY could tell me what happened NOR did the cameras record during class hours. We both reported to bright from the start what happened. Deep down I'm disgusted. As they have a few gems at the facility. But cover up a lot of what happens. To include not paying attention to the children when coming out of the bathroom naked or allowing them to walk around with undies on. How do I know because I reported it before and provided an extra pair of my daughters pants because a child didn't have on any and the teacher thought it was oAt this point she is no longer in childcare and has not returned since we noticed the finger burns.

I was there at 4:30am the very FIRST parent to get a spot..... or so I thought. Now on June 10th I'm informed that my son is #6 on the waitlist. Mind you I only know this from randomly inquiring on when I would receive more information on school starting. The lady that answered advised I was misinformed and that it's a lottery program. Thats funny because when I reached out to Henry county they are the ones that advised me to try the daycare to get a secured spot when my son didn't receive a spot at my zoned elementary school. I even offered to switch my son's daycare to theirs to ensure he would have a PreK spot. I was told they didn't have any available 4 year old spots. She said their students moving up would receive a spot first and that they had 4 remaining spots which is why I camped outside with my then 5 month old twins trying to get my 4 year old a spot. Funny thing.. no one called to tell me I was on a waitlist after I completed all paperwork. So I called one of their other centers and asked how the GA pre K went and was advised it was NOT like the public school system lottery its first come first served and they had no spots. This is so unprofessional as it seems like my son was bumped to accommodate others they wanted to receive a spot. I was told the day I went that I had secured the first spot only to be told months later "oh you were misinformed ". Now that school starts in two months ALL the pre K spots are full. This infuriates me as I just wanted my son in a school environment instead of a daycare setting. It's clear the ones that wanted to receive spots got one..... so unprofessional. However, I take this as a sign that the professionalism would have been an issue later down the line. This says a lot to me. Very Very Very disappointed.
