    This place is the best. I take all of my cars there every time I need something. I wouldn't trust or go anywhere else. Jesse.

When they started it…read moreup it ran fine - but instead of asking me or informing me of the cost to attempt to diagnose it they went ahead and drove it for 30 miles (it did not ever give me a problem when I drove it) then they did other tests etc. they never found anything but I was billed $70 for their efforts. I should have been told what they planned to do and about how much it was going to cost. they were not upfront about their pricing and when I had a conversation with the owner about it - during the first part of the conversation he actually laughed at me, and at one point walked away while I was talking to lock the back door. Pricing should be upfront - no one should be charged $70 with out first approving the cost. That is why some auto shops have "diagnosis" pricing so that the costumer knows what it is going to cost. I don't trust a auto shop who is not upfront with their pricing and not willing to see what they did wrong and try to make it right.

I only requested an air conditioning checkup on my car, but ended up paying over $500 to fix mistakes that occurred to my car after leaving it at their shop. My car was running prior to leaving it at their shop, but ended up needing repairs to get my car running again after leaving it at their shop. The shop performed service to my car that I didn't give permission for. The shop owner was unethical and dishonest regarding his services provided to my car and regarding customer service. I will not be bringing my car back to this shop in the future.

I would rather junk it at that point. Dustin knew that if he were to tell me the real problem he couldn't make a buck off of me. I drove with that power steering pump you probably hacked into my car for the whole hour and half it took you to put it in for not even a whole day before it went out. You either A) knew that was going to happen and figure I would come back to spend more money or B) you're to lazy to properly diagnose vehicle. Yeah, you right the business has running for a while. Certainly not because of you. You took over now you're just ripping of his old customers. You're a liar, deceitful, you're a coward that ripped me off on a 400 dollar repair. You also said you would fix the pump under warranty, then changed your mind at the last second!! Do you remember that phone call Dustin?? For the sake of the good people out there this shop should be closed down or ownership go back to the honest mechanic Jim, whom I NEVER had to back twice to fix something you hack!! He would fix something never had to go back. You "fix" something I'm back in the same boat as I was before the repair.     It was an unfortunate set of events that dictated we would not have our car repaired at Lucas…read moreAutomotive Specialties, but instead trade it in but that didn't stop the receptionist from being very rude, unprofessional and then hanging up on me when I said, it was unacceptable that we could not get the car back until tomorrow. I called back to speak to her supervisor and told him it was unacceptable that we could not get our car back today since she told me, I'll call you when it gets here. Making it sound like it was on its way and never once saying it could be a day or so from this morning. So I called back late in the afternoon trying to find out why I haven't heard back and she told me I couldn't get it until tomorrow. I explained that my wife needs it for work tomorrow and why wasn't I told that. She then said she did tell me, which she did not. So after she hung up on me I called back and I asked to speak to her boss. He was no better than she was in rudeness and professionalism. Years ago, I had dealt with them before and now remember what she was like that time too. They may do great work there but I wouldn't know it but I'll tell you what with those attitudes I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone I know. I have never been treated so poorly by people who want to continue to do business in this town. On day two sometime just after 11 AM the lady from the front desk called with the estimate and we decided not to have the work done, she was angry and upset. I said I was leaving to pick up the car and that's when they told me it was taken to a subcontractor and she'll call me when it's back. I tried to interject that I would go pick it up, but she made it sound like it was already on the way. I was working and lost track of time and it got to be around 5 PM and I called back and she said the car is not there yet and that it would be there tomorrow morning. I told her that was unacceptable, because she knew my wife needed it to see patients as a traveling nurse. She said, I told you I'll call you when it's here and hung up on me. She knew from that morning that my wife was a traveling nurse and had patients to see the next day and needed the car but that didn't matter to her. Day three of dealing with Rich Lucas of Lucas Automotive Specialties and his representative at the front desk. I arrived at 8 AM, and another man was trying to help me but when Rich walked in he said I was wasting his time because I was looking for the best price for the work I want it done to the car and that they don't do estimates unless the work is being done there. (I ask you, what is an estimate for if you're gonna have to have the work done there and you don't have a choice once you get the estimate? No one I've ever dealt with before after getting an estimate done has demanded that I have to work done by them because they did the estimate. That is utter foolishness. So not only is he a mean old man he has deceitful business practices any uses fear and intimidation to try to get you to cave in to his view of things. We weren't even told until day two the car was taken to someone else to have the estimate done.) I went there at 8 AM to pick up the car and was told by Rich Lucas I don't listen because they said they would call me and no one called me. I said I understand but we need the car and I'll go pick it up. Rich said angrily, we don't work that way now get the "F" out as he stood up and pointed at the door. I said you're withholding my vehicle from me out of spite because we didn't have the work done here and I don't owe you any money, I'm calling the police. After the police came, he finally said the car would be there at 9 AM. I went back home and picked up my wife so she could leave straight from there. We arrived at around 8:40 AM and by 8:55 AM her car was still not there. At this point she took mine to see her patient and I waited inside where I could continue to watch the parking lot entrance. At around 9:20 AM I saw out of the corner of my eye Rich get up from the front desk and go back into the shop and then a few minutes later he showed up in the parking lot out front with my wife's car. Rich Lucas made me wait an additional 20 minutes, past the time he said the car would be there, knowing he had the car in the back the whole time. When he finally showed up with the car he had come from his back lot of which there is no access, except through the front entrance of which I have been watching since 8:40 AM. This means he is a deceitful, spiteful, lying, cheat. That's just my opinion after dealing with him for three days. It's also my opinion, based on my personal observations that he had my car the entire time and he was just being mean and spiteful.

    They were the 4th shop I went to. 2 were really expensive and the other Yorkville shop refused to…read morethe work. They returned my car in pre accident shape. There is no evidence that it was even damaged. Nice paint and the body work is flawless. They were much less than the other Yorkville repair shops and they were done faster than I expected and right on with their estimate. If I or anyone I know needs work I will not go to 3 other places before them. They will be the first place I go to.
